Now THAT is why they built a new airport. All the pilots were complaining and guess what? if you go to Kowloon, they had a limit on the floors for apartments and buildings and if you go up on a building roof, you can see an almost straight kind of 'floor' of roofs. But now that the laws have been removed, massive skyscrapers are springing up all around town.

The airport that all of these planes are landing at no longer exists. It was moved to a much emptier island in Hong Kong with easier landing conditions.

Fun fact of the day: the airport that these planes are landing at has now been converted into a go-cart track with a pretty B.A. track.

It's actually a man made island, specifically created for the new airport, Chep Lak Kok.

Im not saying there isnt a go-kart track on Kai Tak, but theres more to it than that! A lap of Kai Tak would take about an hour in a go kart lol. Theyre building residential and business complexes and cruise ship terminals

Only nearby bill board will show this is the former airport and the rest was mend to be bulldoze. They will turn it into residential area or business center. Cruise ship terminal will also built at there.
