the disney summer jam, rosie, and ALMA performances were the best. I think the disney one is easily the best, especially the run she does after "i can turn to." for the one on rosie she does that vocal run too fast, but the disney one is the best. And the last video of that performance has dissappeared from youtube :'(

I actually thought her F5 at the Disney Summer Jam wasn't that bad at all. Wasn't too strained. Her voice didn't have that rasp or rattle she tends to have when she belts.. Besides.. F5 for a woman to belt.. Is pretty dangerous if you don't know how to do it properly. Props to her. She's extremely talented. She does sound more comfortable with an E5 though. As for the crack..She's human, just like us lol.

Like I have always posted, I go by what I hear. That F5 at the summer jam was very strained, a deaf person can hear that. I happen to like Christina a lot. I doubt I am hating if I have her B2B album as well as over 20 other songs by her. I would LOVE her if she would stop belting outside her range.

It's interesting... when singing in the orginal key the high note is an F5, composed of three "hits" (RU - U - UN!). She gets the first two easily, but the third one always seems excruciating for her...

In some clips, the "run" note is E5. In others, it's F5. She sometimes sang it a key lower. She sings it in the original key in the Men Strike Back version. It's interesting...I never noticed until now that even when she first came out, her upper register was getting very scratchy. She never once sings "run" as crystal clear as the CD version.

christina always seems to have difficulty belting notes above E5, in "I turn to you" she would either avoid singing the F5 all together or should would bring the whole song down a key and in "Beautiful" an F#5 is called for in the bridge and she NEVER sings it, she always alters that part in the song to avoid it. if you wanna see high belting, in any live version of "i wanna love you forever" by jessica simpson she always nailed belting the G5 (one note higher than the one in I turn to you)

I agree with you. I noticed this from when she first came out and it hasn't changed even now. She's a note-dodger. The "shine" in "Beautiful" is possibly the biggest disappointment, although I'd give a tooth to hear her perform the bridge of "Voice Within" note for note. The thing is, I think she is capable of hitting the high notes live, but she always psychs herself out. She's afraid of big intervals--if she hits a high note live, she usually slides into it.
