  • I enjoy watching your videos, Anthony. Very informative!!!!

  • have you done a bloody mary yet?

i really like the history behind the drinks

  • And yes, as Anthony said, always use fresh lime juice.

  • Fabulous Anthony. You are a real star. Thanks a million for this recipe and all the others:-)

  • Thanks!

  • I usually make 2 parts of sugar and 1 part of hot water. Less watery drinks, drinks need less sugar syrup this way.

  • That works as well -- 1:1 is easy to remember and the sugar dissolves quickly, but the exact ratio isn't that important. People tend to get caught up in trying to avoid "watering" drinks (not using enough ice, not shaking the drink, etc.) but they often forget that over half the volume of most liquors is water. Reducing the water in the simple syrup is minimal compared to the water already in all the rest of the ingredients (even the water content between limes will vary). Thanks for watching!

  • what type of sugar are you using?

  • Superfine bar sugar works best.

  • you can make the superfine sugar in the blinder. Blind normal sugar (right out of the bag) first tell its fine and add the water to make the simple syrup. I have done this before and it works just as well as the superfine bar sugar.
