Not as much as the most expensive out there, but far better than the cheeper webcams. Some of these ads overdo it, true, but that's what advertising is.

Individual companies NOT Microsoft create the hardware for Windows. Have you checked every single Windows computer on the market? I doubt it. According to my dad who worked on computers at his work unless for the basic HD and memory upgrade(which can be upgraded in a mac) you don't do alot of heavy duty upgrades(unless yo are not an average user) After 4 years if the computer has no problems you would either buy a new computer or use the old one.
P.S. This is based only on average users.

yea not as much because windows controls the computer market....a lot of PC = a lot of viruses...a few macs = a few viruses
