  • and the car driver and passengers go where...

  • In the ambulance, jackass.

  • Hydraulic brakes to the brakes on the towing package, when you step on the brake of the tow vehicle the hydraulic action applies the brake fluid to the brakes on the towing package and you never feel it on the tow vehicle, these have been in use for years on big boat trailers and are much more dependable than electrics, need more brake action step down harder on the brakes of the towing vehicle simple and works like a charm... gotta have one go go pick up the Harleys doncha know!!!!

  • lekker handig zoon ding

  • I have a trailer and have pulled as much as 500 pounds of material (plus the weight of the trailer itself) and found that once balanced, the bike hardly had an issue except when breaking while going down hill. I can only imagine the impace of a 3,000 pound car pushing the bike.

  • The actual use of this is not long distance towing but road clearance. I saw an interview and the video here is for demo purposes mainly. The interview described it as the cycle would move through traffic, get the car off the highway and if it needed to be towed too far, a standard truck would come.

The transmission probably isn't an issue, but emergency breaking would be a serious problem with that much weight pushing behind the bike.

  • well I'm sure that the trailer has disc or drum brakes connected to the goldwing brake wiring harness or something. I can't imagine them not having brakes on the trailer itself otherwise it be a guaranteed fatality

  • Neat. But do you really think it could actually stop? I note not much traffic in the video.

  • I'd hate to try to do any emergency braking on that bike while towing, and say goodbye to the transmission too.

  • Did you have to build a new engine for more power to pull cars?

  • I don't think you need more power, the GW has plenty of power.

Rather, this model may have the final drive ratio reduced by 50%! (meaning, only half the max. speed but a low-low- 1st gear for towing)

  • I am a GoldWing fan, this is an amazing video!!!!

  • Brilliant idea (old or not) beats trying to manouver a tow truck through traffic

  • Let's see it do the same uphill with 4.5 tonne of fully loaded fourby headed off for a camping trip.

  • this video is oooold.... plz dont repost crap.

  • It might be old for those who've been around a long time, but some are new to youtube, so for them it's new and may still be of interest.

  • the down side to that thing is its prb limted to the size it can tow and what if it is missing some wheels O.o xD think about it

  • Thats a cool invention, minus chessy music! lol. The towing part must have gyros/stabilisrs or sumthin, I like the way the bike can turn easily with a heavy car behind it, excellent idea.
