Is there anyone that knows a damn thing about rap? You hear his dis list on NY??? Kurupt is a beast always has been. Top 3 best dis song ever. "eat a fat dick bitch"
damn, your both arguing dumb shit. kurupt was not main stream and never really tried to be. Yes there were issues between east and west coast. but fact of the matter is, who was so tough in "there rap beefs?" hmmmm? DMX, Kurupt, 50, yeah....no disrespect to any city/person... DETROIT-313 love it
this has nothing to do with 50cent, dogg pound fucks with 50, they did some track together already. besides this album dropped in 99-2000, 50cent wasnt even around back then
@merciless41582 Then why did jay Z take a shot at him on his track , its hot (1999).. 50 cents was signed by columbia in 1999. 50 cent make a song and people took it as a diss
@merciless41582 its just a few months to a year apart. this song was made in 1998? you sure about that..? the album was released in November 1999. so in 1998 kurupt made the album.. and stopped recording in 1999 and waited till November to release the album with out adding shit too it?
sometimes the messages in the lyrics are subliminal and not str8 forward.
@merciless41582 so..what does that have to do with anything. LMAO.. im done arguring with you.. you an idiot. lol.. im not even mad, i realize there gonna be ignorant people in this world hahahahahah
@merciless41582 omg.. LMAO. your the fucking idiot LOL.. he mention's Belly which came out in 1998, so the song must be made in 1998 hahaha.. LMAO hahahahah atcually im glad theres people liike you so i can laugh at.. i come up with points and you make stupid ass counter points..
@Vietnameze4Life I am a long life Kurupt fan, he made this song to diss DMX specifically because he took his girl Foxy brown. and then foxy brown was part of the Firm, so he diss the firm..nas was part of the firm , so in a essence he dissed the belly...
@paakw3si that wasnt the argument. my thing is, Kurupt took a jab at 50 cent.. ..yes, main diss was at DMX, foxy , etc....
people telling me since 5o cent was a no-name rapper in 1999, why would kurupt bring him up? fool told me song was made in 1998 and 50 cents blew up in 2000. so his conclusion is that 50 cent couldnt have been part of it
@Vietnameze4Life gottcha... understood.. if you look back since 1996.. Kurupt has been the only rapper from the west coas who has consistently dissed the east and kinda some how won.. just my own observation. this song and new york newyork
@Vietnameze4Life being serious, i dont like calling people names but some people too stupid to understand what a subliminal message is. they dumb where they need to hear the straight message and they think the understand the song. you believe what you wanna believe
How the fuck is this a 50 Cent diss? He didn't say 50's name no-where in the song. DMX, NAS, RUFF RYDERS, JA RULE, AND IRV GOTTI ARE THE NAMES HE MENTIONS IN THE SONG. Also, Kurupt is from Philly, so anyone who says this nigga been reppin the rest all his life is wrong. He didn't start talking that gangbang shit until he started fuckin with death row obviously he was pissed at DMX for getting with Foxy and NAS for saying FOXY was too good for Kurupt
@woodiewoodpecker16 This song was made in 1998 as you can hear in the song he says "Fuck Belly" Referring to DMX and Nas 1998 movie entitled Belly 50 Cent wasn't even heard of in 1998
east coast rap , actually new york alone is better then the west coast they have collectably just a better roster then the west coast no biost just straight fact
saw kurupt this weekend , n he did this track n stopped it n said hes squashed all these beefs but hay i still think ja rules a faggot as faggot bitch nigga , just my opinion n i like west n east coast artists
shit is hard literally the most underrated rapper in the game! shits on all east coast rappers! no real talent in the east all soul selling muthafuckas! get off thier dicks listen to the lyrics

@Vietnameze4Life You commented on what he said about lyrical/creative content between the cost. So I'm giving my response on that singe line alone, not the rest.
@2PacIsStillTheBest biggie garbage? haha learn your rap history rap started in the east with some of the top mcs ever there should be no debate tho west side has some greats so shut your mouth and respect where rap even started
@83andy1 yea but dj premier's from Houston G, and you can't leave out my homies Blackstar, or Biggie Smalls, even tupac's from east harlem i think or somewhere in NEw york
@83andy1 Your fucken wrong!!! Dude Dr. Dre is like Dj premier but westcoast version. Damn Dr. Dre goes hard with his beats and also DJ premier. Both of dem are best producers you could EVER have.
@83andy1 so a looped up over sampled piece of shite is better than dre's work??? niggu everything dre touched turned platinum or unlikely unfortunate gold piece
Listen to '93 Till Infinity by Souls Of Mischeif, EVERY side no matter what sound is hip hop, from the westcoast, to the eastcoast, and even the dirty south, each one got their own form (:
@83andy1 yeah and the chicken noodle soup is so so lyrical.I can name 10 gimmicks straight outta NyC.problem is the media shows society the images they want you to believe. They not gonna show u tht south and west has Lyricist. They just stereotype us. Cali aint nothin like the boyz in the hood era anymore and actually Kurupt is a lyricist hands down beside the fact that he is from Philly..do ya homework
@83andy1 yeah and the chicken noodle soup is so so lyrical.I can name 10 gimmicks straight outta NyC.problem is the media shows society the images they want you to believe. They not gonna show u tht south and west has Lyricist. They just stereotype us. Cali aint nothin like the boyz in the hood era anymore and actually Kurupt is a lyricist hands down beside the fact that he is from Philly..do ya homework go underground to find lyrical Cali ARTIST
@83andy1 What about Souls of Mischief, Del, Casual, Freestyle Fellowship, Lateef the Truth Speaker, Mad Cap, Volume 10, Kendrick Lamar, Ras Kass, Saafir... Shiiit, I don't even have to live in America to know these artists are from the west coast and are lyrically talented. What's your excuse?
@83andy1 Well the west is gang bang infested, so them making lyrics about it makes it real hip hop. What do you expect them to rap about, peaches and unicorns?
@83andy1 you can't stereotype either coast as strictly "gangbang music" or "real hiphop"... how about cats like Pharcyde and Hieroglyphics on the west coast? or the Lox and Dipset on the east coast with their "gangbang music"... every artist is different, and their music may be shaped by their environment, but there isn't one area that produces only one style of rap music.
@83andy1 "real hip hop"? that's an ignorant statement, east coast is mafioso rap, west is gangsta rap, south is usually that dirty south shit, it's just different styles of Hip-Hop. Plus, west IS no longer "gangbang" music, we have people like Blu, Fashawn, Kendrick Lamar (and the rest of Black Hippy), Pac Div, Thurz (U-N-I), etc...never make an ignorant statement like that again.
@83andy1 Real hiphop? yea most likely but real rap you gotta give it to the west... we aint mainstream dnt forget tht nonoe bumps our shit cuz there afraid of the truth. there just rappin bout wat they see in there citys and i see that in my city day in day out...thats just cali living for you hate it or love it were here and the realest.
I'm 30 years old and lived in New York at the time this album came out and it was my favorite album that year. I was about 18 or 19 and heavily into hip hop so I'm gonna shed some light on the atmosphere then. 50 cent was a nobody until "how to rob" dropped. That single put him on the map. Not major map, but similar to how Immortal Technique has a buzz right now. But everybody in the industry hated him for it and some people jabbed back, like Kurupt and Jay Z....
(continued) 50 cent had a bad reputation in the game and wasn't respected by most people because people viewed him as a broke rapper trying to take shots at successful ones to boost himself up and gain fame. But the more mad people got, the more the buzz grew. Then once he was shot he started generating even more of a buzz and people were talking about "the rapper that survived a shooting just like 2pac" and all these comparisons to 2pac's shooting made him more famous...
(continued)After a few years of the buzz going around Em decided to basically take 50 under his wing and and had Dre sign him and then Wanksta came out on the 8 mile soundtrack. Eminem was the most popular artist at this time so Wanksta made 50 cent a national celebrity overnight. That was the first time he was known outside of rap circles and in suburbia and when he first got on MTV and the national radio. Then JMJ was killed and it created more buzz, In Da Club dropped and the rest is history
Altough that still doesnt answer my question, how dude came up to the idea that 50 was dissed on this track. I am aware that 50 was already rapping, for me underground or mainstream is the same. I just have no knowledge of 50 being dissed on this track. Can you please point out the lyrics for me in wich he does? Iam working on a story about this so you would help me alot. Thanx
Jay-Z also reacted to the comments in the track called "It's Hot (Some Like It Hot)", off the album Vol. 3: Life and Times of S. Carter: "Go against Jigga yo' ass is dense I'm about a dollar, what the fuck is 50 Cents
kurupt is in the top 5 lyricists.. so dmx and chino xl couldnt even do a duet that would out rhyme kurupt.. listen to his flow, way more skilled then dmx and lame washed up has been like chino xl
kurupt is my favorite rapper, but I respect 50's hustle

He said "East has ONE of the most lyrical/creative Mc's there ever was."
Not "ALL of East has the most lyrical/creative Mc's... etc etc."
East, West, and the South.. both have lyrical geniuses.
DaTribute09 6 months ago
@DaTribute09 He also said east is REALl hip hop music? what doe that imply? the rest are fake?
Vietnameze4Life 6 months ago
@Vietnameze4Life You commented on what he said about lyrical/creative content between the cost. So I'm giving my response on that singe line alone, not the rest.

@83andy1 Immortal Technique raps from the East also. And yeah you hit the nail on the head with all those artists.
TheAngrySandwich 8 months ago
@83andy1 What about Souls of Mischief, Del, Casual, Freestyle Fellowship, Lateef the Truth Speaker, Mad Cap, Volume 10, Kendrick Lamar, Ras Kass, Saafir... Shiiit, I don't even have to live in America to know these artists are from the west coast and are lyrically talented. What's your excuse?
HauieBeast 7 months ago
@83andy1 Well the west is gang bang infested, so them making lyrics about it makes it real hip hop. What do you expect them to rap about, peaches and unicorns?
mmw818s 6 months ago
@83andy1 you can't stereotype either coast as strictly "gangbang music" or "real hiphop"... how about cats like Pharcyde and Hieroglyphics on the west coast? or the Lox and Dipset on the east coast with their "gangbang music"... every artist is different, and their music may be shaped by their environment, but there isn't one area that produces only one style of rap music.
RSXSmoke 6 months ago
@83andy1 "real hip hop"? that's an ignorant statement, east coast is mafioso rap, west is gangsta rap, south is usually that dirty south shit, it's just different styles of Hip-Hop. Plus, west IS no longer "gangbang" music, we have people like Blu, Fashawn, Kendrick Lamar (and the rest of Black Hippy), Pac Div, Thurz (U-N-I), etc...never make an ignorant statement like that again.

OpinionatedJerk 11 months ago
(continued) 50 cent had a bad reputation in the game and wasn't respected by most people because people viewed him as a broke rapper trying to take shots at successful ones to boost himself up and gain fame. But the more mad people got, the more the buzz grew. Then once he was shot he started generating even more of a buzz and people were talking about "the rapper that survived a shooting just like 2pac" and all these comparisons to 2pac's shooting made him more famous...
OpinionatedJerk 11 months ago
(continued)After a few years of the buzz going around Em decided to basically take 50 under his wing and and had Dre sign him and then Wanksta came out on the 8 mile soundtrack. Eminem was the most popular artist at this time so Wanksta made 50 cent a national celebrity overnight. That was the first time he was known outside of rap circles and in suburbia and when he first got on MTV and the national radio. Then JMJ was killed and it created more buzz, In Da Club dropped and the rest is history

@Vietnameze4Life very interessting point, thanks for the info.
Thanx

@DizzyDix
"Now it's 50 MC's that ain't worth shit
Get ya ass kicked 50 times, beat to 10 cent
I love New York, but the niggas that represent, ya'll ain't shit New York
They actin' like a bitch New York"
too me, i could have read into the lyrics or misinterpret it; but it seem like kurupt took a jab at 50 cent with those first two lines.
Vietnameze4Life 1 year ago
@Vietnameze4Life why would he diss a kat that back then didn't have name in the game so it really wouldn't make any sense
rodney1b 11 months ago
@rodney1b you tell me..
Jay-Z also reacted to the comments in the track called "It's Hot (Some Like It Hot)", off the album Vol. 3: Life and Times of S. Carter: "Go against Jigga yo' ass is dense I'm about a dollar, what the fuck is 50 Cents
Vietnameze4Life 11 months ago
