Even audiences filled with teenagers showed respect back then (take a look at the live MC5 footage from July 1970 on here). Now the audience at their 1970 Royal Albert Hall show is rocking out, even head-banging! But these Frenchies don't know what the hell hit 'em! LOL.

So many people don't realize just how good John Paul Jones is. You see Page and Plant over and over, and occasionally Bonham, all excellent at what they do, but Jones can really play the base and gives each song a great rhythm and heavy beat...

and page.. hes the best maybe not in technique but in his skills of songwriter and as a showmen and just pure awesome improvisation acts they all sounds so very well u cant disagree with that

John Paul Jones participated much less than Page.

But still JPJ did composed about half of the famous riffs of Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Page did about the other half.

you know how like bands have gimmicks, its pretty mich standard in rock and roll music especially the 60 and 70's that the 'showmen' if you like were strictly the gutiarist and vocalist. its still kind fo liek that today, look at the who, the stones, the bassist is just laid back providing the rhythm of the song, they arent always hidden their in full view just ya know more laid back.
