  • bBeing a underground label soma fanatic got me here love the SUB-CLUB as it's the the 2nd longest nightclub running in the city apart from some gay hang-out. In all honesty i have followed good glasgow labels for a lot of years along with all the chicago that came in back in tha day and it's all good ,cos it's down to dedicated followers like dj's that constantly promote not only themselfs but the world to Scotland and how alive the city that never sleeps works ....P E A C E : )

  • Rane 62 brought me here!

  • she went to see z-trip

    perfect

  • nice one xD

  • great mix!

  • BASS ISLAND

  • it's not fun watching people do this on serato

  • Nuff respect to the DJs who still use vinyls.

  • Master class

  • too bad he uses serato now...

  • Everyone is complaining or bagging on the crowd.. They are not moving much cause they are watching in awe. Kinda like a deer in headlights.

  • This.. This is a DJ. None of those trance jukeboxes (Tiësto) are real DJs.

  • @gldphish Tiesto used to do a lot more vinyl switching years ago. Now he just plays music, but he's still technically a DJ. The difference is, he is more of a music producer that plays music, and less of a show DJ. Even though Tiesto is my fave DJ of all the Electronica DJ's, Z-Trip is truly THE BEST DJ in the world, maybe even EVER.

  • @coastermusic93 I'd go with Q-Bert as the best ever, but that's personal preference. For the rest I completely agree with you. To add to what you're saying things have changed and unless you're actually doing turntablism there is no reason to have vinyl and carry around a huge crate. Most of the music being put out these days isn't even getting pressed. So yeah, two totally different styles, like getting mad at a drummer for not playing a trumpet (not really, but you hopefully get the point).

  • @taoistmath Exactly!!! And yeah Q-Bert is pretty dang awesome!!!!

  • damn he really has the crowd movin!!! yea right

  • Holy Damm!

  • thats a lame crowd

  • best ever!!

  • @mojo75 your trippin homie. he does this live everytime. ive seen it. plus how would he time his scratches up perfectly with the sound? that would be almost impossible. Dumbass hater.

  • the mix is actually coming from an iPod below the decks.

  • @mojo75 you're an idiot

  • D sickest

  • cazzo bravissimo

  • benchmark? No, these are momentary lapses of unreason where you are possessed by Lucifer. It is all part of your pact with Satan. You success, fame and fortune is all standard elements of demonic possession. Things are what they seem.

Unfortunately, these "benchmarks" have a price. a snow boarding accident is just the tip of the iceberg. Repent.

  • ending = amazing

  • does anyone remember when he wore a giant yellow foam cowboy hat at Bobby Mcgee's in Scottsdale?

  • I just won free tickets!!

  • Wow I liked it. Lol

  • I saw Z like 8 years ago on the first Projekt Revolution tour, I'd have to say he got the place going and he was just the intermission entertainment

  • cool shit indeed..

what's the f.point whenll grieg made better job anyway..

  • Víte někdo co je to za skladbu s těma smyčcema v originále? Mám pocit, že to je z nějaký český nebo slovanský pohádky...;o)

  • I saw him at BB Kings on New Year's do this.. he got up and jammed with Karl Denson too...

  • no disrespect lamthatdj? you're disrespecting ztrip for the comparison

  • This guy takes DJ and turns it into shit. Fuck you Trip.

  • @kiraisme5 what would you know

  • oh shit really this is crap

  • Better than AM in my opinion

  • Thats so ill

  • Very nice... He is a profi... =)

  • I love z-trip, uneasy listening vol. 1 was the bomb. I just think this specific mix would have been more appreciated if it was 1987. Djing is much more complicated now.

  • this is the coolest thing ever

  • AVJAM 2000 sucks asshole.

  • Oh snap

    Amon Tobin :P

  • His Scratch Documentary was awesome, you guys should check it out to get some real historic value to this culture. its called "Scratch"

  • watched it and loved it, do you know the song name

  • @reviewitorhateit in the hall of the montain king. it is made from the Norwegian grigg.

  • thanks

  • z trip is way better than AM if u dont know ztrip u dont know shit

  • Peer Gynt hmmmm

  • @coocoon2 the song is: in tha hall of the montain king

  • I know , I have this music on vinyl from year 1960.

And its from drama Peer Gynt.

  • @coocoon2 i know 2, im from norway so it would b strange if i dnt know

  • If you guys realized the beat increases on the tune, yet he still mixes on beat. this is fucking amazing, take a look at some of his other videos if u have doubts, AM was a king but they are different, this guy is equally if not more talented no dissrespect

  • its not a great song to work with but he is pretty cool!

  • this dude fucken sucks asshole! What a lame!

  • cool song but nobody like dj am!!!

  • and he's suppose to replace AM.... -_-

  • awesome.

  • what the name of the song???

  • In the hall of the mountain king. its classical. its also common knowledge.

  • you know, this is the only one of dj z trips songs i dont like,....hes a genious though, and much props to any 1 being creative

  • classic.

  • what melody is z trip using in this spin?

  • Something like "In the Hall of the Mad Mountain King" as played by a band Apollo100.

The beat is from "Alphabet Aerobics" by Blackalicious.

  • Apollo 100...lmao...

It's a classical composed for a play....WAAAYYY back in the day....

  • Amazing! You rocked Easter Moon when u came home to AZ!

  • just goes to show that dj's are under appreciated. one of the biggest of our time and only a few thousand know about him...

  • Underappreciated, absolutely. A few thousand? There's way more than a few thousand in Phoenix alone...

  • z trip owns the world

  • word my brother

  • z-trip is all that and a bag of chips.

  • Z-Trip is a Pioneer in what has become the Mash, the Blend, a true art of dj'ing... You dont have to like what he does, but you have to respect the talent. He's # ??? In the world... i know its Top 10, that alone is respect!!

  • last i heard he was ranked 7th in the world for scratching... but as far as mashing there really isnt anyone out there that does it on 12"s. Girltalk and PartyBen are all computer.. Big ups to Dj-Ztrip and to you kidkarisma for knowin whats up.

  • these responses are typical...... i say no more about the obvious............. peace to bambata, jazzy jay, dst., michael erickson, simon harris, chad jackson, artie b, and the dj's from the dmc's MIXING battles that were doin this back in 85 to 91.

  • he is a legend!

  • cold people/

  • yeah i met Zack back in 98 at my friends house DJ Element they hung around alot and would chill at Elements house too just listening to them spin for hours

  • i saw him live! :D amazing

  • Legend.

One of my all time dj heroes.

So much respect due to z-trip

  • tite

  • inventor of the Mash-Up

he performed at my school at UCR

    he SICK!

  • 2 Many Djs invented the mash up actually

  • Z-trip @ We the People Festival in Los angeles on Sept 27th. Over 30 performers on 3 stages LIVE! check Ticket master for more details.

  • Was a fucking amazing show! Just now recovering from the beer garden :D

  • Ya this guy has fucking skills, i saw him at edc and it was fucking crazy.

  • that is sick.

  • Do you guys have any idea how hard it is to beatmatch to "In the hall of the mountain king"? This symphonic peice gradually increases in tempo by itself... this is awesome talent.

  • damn right

  • not only that, the track he's mixing with it - Alphabet Aerobics also starts slow and gradually increases in tempo.

    Ridiculous.

  • @Nalexe

ah, but he's also mixing it with Blackalicious' Alphabet Aerobics, which also increases tempo as it progresses.

very wise as well as talented.

  • @Nalexe Ah, do you realize the skill behind such a composition as Grieg's and the instrumentation? Much more so, than some dj pitchbending/beatmatching and gaining credit for sampling music. And why are you the determinant of awesome talent, anyways?

  • true skill....

  • skill....

  • o da...smechera melodia ;b

  • got my tickets to z-trip in Austin Tx on 8/18. Can't wait.

  • that crowd it's made of ice or what?

  • he is the best dj!

  • @kozajr3 no
