If you wanna pin anything on the refs for unfairness, go back about 3 years to the first round of the playoffs when the stars were taking on vancouver, Game 7, if I'm not mistaken, a grand total of 73 pims for dallas and only 11 for vancouver throughout the game. Dallas spent LITTERALLY the whole game shorthanded aside from the first 3 minutes of the first period. Nurbk, Dallas has a consistency of making the playoffs every year which makes the Injury excuse valid. Without the loss of our team captain and a line 1 forward, Dallas would have made the playoffs. Now everything is good on the injury front and I am confident they will make it this year.
At no point is an injury riddled team an excuse for them to not be good. I'll agree we had some serious misfortune last year but I sincerely believe we just really had an all around bad year. No team can go through a season without injuries. you guys are the ones stupid enough to sign him multiple times. talking about plagued with injuries. this whole discussion is abut how our number one center was hurt in a fight when he isnt a fighter at all. dont use injuries thats the easiest copout. Sounds like an excuse while getting his ass tore apart to me. He had absolutely no chance against Neal so he started whining to the ref.
He probably messed his shoulder up walking into a corner on the way to the locker room in humiliation to make sure he had a doctor viable excuse for the team after that massacre was all said and done.

Steve Ott fucked up his hand during a fight and the other player heard it pop and crack, he asked if Ott wanted to fight and ott said yeah. he finished the fight and was out for a long time. But hey, Brassard couldnt match up to Ott anywhere. Fighting, scoring, you name it.

Amen brother. Also don't forget about Fabian Brunnstrom in that group aswell. Stars have a great mix of young and veteran talent. Young studs like Neal, Eriksson, Brunnstrom, Niskanen, and vets like Morrow, Richards, Ribeiro, Sydor, Modano, Ott, and Lehtenin. When next year rolls around and we are 100% healthy look out NHL we are deep and ready to roll.

You have to agree that was A STUPID DECISION on Brassard's part. If he'd been healthy, CBJ would be in a much better position and he'd be leading on the Calder voting. Plus, these fights after clean checks have to be curtailed because they seem inherently stupid; especially when the "victim" is someone like Tyutin and not Nash.

Good comparison to the Downey/Boulerice fight. Similar situation where somewhat of a goon squared off with a guy standing up for his team and got destroyed. That's hockey! Both guys deserve respect here: Brassard for standing up to a much bigger Neal, and Neal for letting Brassard off the hook.

In the first little scramble of the fight where they're just holding each other and jerking each other around Brassard messes up his right shoulder. You can see his arm go up close to his body right after it happens, so Neal can't do anymore damage to it.

That injury started in a game at Gatineau (Olympiques) with his former junior team the Voltigeurs de Drummond'ville, a player named Bryan Main from Gatineau cheapshot him and Brassard dislocated his shoulder.. and now hes stuck with chronical problems

Looking for homers,...go to Anaheim, Colorado, or San Jose and listen to the likes of Brian Hayward, Randy Hahn, or Peter McNabb dribble from their mouths. Hell, even look in your own backyard where a dumbass called Don Cherry dwells (bona fide Leafs homer).
R&R have been touted as one of the best commentating duos in hockey. They know how to call a game and definitely don't sound like homers.
