Cual es la diferencia entre un Alaskan Malamute y un Siberian Husky???

El Malamute es mas grande y pesado; el macho puede llegar a medir entre 68 cm y 70 cm de altura a la cruz aprox. El Husky macho llega a medir solamente hasta 60 cm a la cruz. El husky puede llegar a tener los ojos claros, el malamute no. Temperamentalmente, el malamute no es perro de familia, es decir, solamente obedece a su dueño dominante (como los lobos), el husky es más domestico y facil de adiestrar.

El malamute no es de un solo dueño, todo lo contrario. Fue criado para convivir con el ser humano y es muy amigable con las personas, muy ideal para la familia.

dsc828 soy venezolano y llevo cinco años con camadas de lobos siberianos husky, pero ahora que he visto tu video me puedes informar en que se diferencian un husky a un alaska malamute, ya que yo he tenido cachorros muy parecidos a las imagenes que bajastes, disculpa mi ignorancia ya que no son comunes esas razas en mi pais, contestame por favor

Huskies were bred to run long distances and pull lighter loads. Malamutes were bred to run shorter distances while carrying heavier loads. Nice video!

Well, if she can handle your malamute very well, then its your descision, but I wouldnt have allowed it if was me. Malamutes are very strong as you know, and it wont do any good for even your daughter or your dog if anything bad happends. If you have the oppertunity to walk the dog, then do it, but if you cant (job related and such) then the situation is different. Sorry for my bad english, but I hope you understand what I mean. It depends on her/hes behaveiour. If you've learned your malamute the difference between right and wrong, and if he or she always stop when you say no and such ++ ( I dont know the word for that in English, but again, I hope you understand) then they are MUCH more easier to handle!
