The black panther party and the black power movement was mostly basically cultural but not exclusively cultural. It wasn't an idea of Black supermacy but a revoultionary struggle that fought against insituitions which they viewed were opressive. It tried to connect back to its african past as well as form a sense of idenity in the black american community one of pride. As a nationalist I don't view it negatively at all histroically, in mainstream history it gets a bad wrap.
