The maker of this clip is obviously an idiot. The UFP is the glorious summation of democratic communism. Free healthcare, food, clothing, and shelter for all, regardless of their status or ability. Man is judged by his character, not his pocketbook; money is in fact not widely used on Earth.

You don't get how to make a funny video. Your supposed to edit it to actually make fun of what the title suggests it to be. You just showed a plain old Star Trek clip. FAIL. Not funny. Republicans fail at more than just politics, but humor as well.

I see your point though. It doesn't change the fact that First Contact was the second best trek movie (Behind the obvious choice of Wrath of Khan)
My relationship with all the Trek movies is a love-hate one. They're awful in being Trek movies, but they're alright action movies, so I'm entertained (and FC is my favorite..). (Most annoying part in WoK is when they realize "Hey guys, we're in space, we can easily move in the Z direction!" to beat Khan.)

Yes, and Ferenghi is a Pushtu derogatory term used to describe Europeans. It's no better than Amos n Andy, but P.C. and therefore celebrated.

And, yes they are the next step. The only way to maintain that utopian socialist society is to impose a totalitarian regime where everyone does their bit, which is determined by the needs of the socialist whole.
The Federation is a technological utopia, capitalism and socialism don't apply.
