The E30 is much better build quality than new BMWs. I would put in the Signature Motoring performance intake kit for only around $150 and gain around 9.5HP on the stock output for the 325/M3 and a bit less for the 318. I highly recommend this item, see my youtube channel for the action video on it.
I love my 325i. Only mod is a Signature Motoring performance intake kit. They run around $150 and add around 9hp in the six-cylinder E30s and a bit less in the 318. That's the best value per HP gain... A good value for the extra oomph. General HP increases are shown:
This car is for sale for $20,000 I was going to check it out until i found out what was in it! Why put that motor in a pristine car with such history? Why not s38/s36 or m50? even the stock 4 is better!
Awsome motor in the car, one of the most durable longest running and most reliable motors bmw has EVER built. Those motors with proper maintenance can make it to 350k. I do agree though s38 would be a bit more fitting for an m power car. But the s14 imo is a piece of junk for a street motor.
I will agree this motor is good. But under HIGH boost...Not so well! that is why this car is for sale. the motor has been over boosted and needs a rebuild! Still a nice car dont get me wrong, there are a lot of nice swaps that can be done on it!
Yeah.. um no. The M30 when forged, is virtually bullet proof. Probably one of the best motors to boost. idk if you come from the Honda world or what...
Fuck the stock 4, u know how unreliable that piece of shit is, i went through 4 of them, now im runnin the s38...fuckin torque monster i tell u..anyway the 4 cyl is to slow and parts are rare.
and the m30 turbo isnt that bad i know a lota guys who run that or 745 i which is basically the same thing, m30 turbo. 3.5 turbo
@E30m3EvoVIIIMR wanker - what the fuck do you know? Leave it as it is, so what if it is unreliable, thats the whole point of owning these cars - fool. You dont deserve one if your gonna butcher it. Just because you want a bigger dick, you need more power? Buffoon.
@E30m3EvoVIIIMR No problem, it's good to see an owner keep a car for a long period of time. When my kids have left home, then I want one too, it's my fave BMW, infact in my top 3 cars of all time.
me and my father are gonna be working on one of these in a few months. can't wait to drive it! I wanna race some of those ricer fags and own their shit.
I owned a 1990 E30 M3 and the engine was a stock inline 4 cylinder with high compression. I doubt he's running a 6 cylinder in there and am not even sure if this model of M3 can accept a 6 cylinder engine or if BMW ever made a 6 cylinder version for this M3. The late 90s' models and 2000 models have inline 6 cylinder engines, but I doubt the E30 was a 6 cylinder.
What the fuck are you on...? If I would be you I'd be embarrased to admit that I have owned E30 M3 and can't tell by the sound of car is it 4 banger or inline 6.
You are a fucking disgrace to all bmw enthusiasts. E30 320/323/325 were equipped with M20 inline6 engines from early 80's. This car has M30 from 5-series E34/E28.
E30 chassis can accept even a V8 or V12 bmw engine with big mods. Most I6 engines are bolt-ons with diff motor mounts. (M20,M30,M50,S50,S38)
I'm really liking the idea of a turbo E30 m3 or 320i. The 88 M3 was a true joy to drive and one of those cars I was sad to see go. Is there a forum available to discuss the ins and outs of turboing the E30s?
close?? not at all, you must be a dumbass. that car weighs in ALOT less that the e90, and it has relatively the same amount of hp, and about 100more ft lbs of torque. Do the math. you put someone who can drive in that car and it will eat the e90 for breakfast.
The E30 is much better build quality than new BMWs. I would put in the Signature Motoring performance intake kit for only around $150 and gain around 9.5HP on the stock output for the 325/M3 and a bit less for the 318. I highly recommend this item, see my youtube channel for the action video on it.

m30 seems like a weird choice when there are so many lighter twin cam options. it's a shame true s14 m3s are disappearing...

A stock unmolested E30 M original is worth more than 90% of the cars you can buy NEW in US. Leave her stock, or buy a E30 320
therealdeal989 1 year ago
leave it original, God made her that way...No point in modifying perfection

agree, I love tuning, but don't see the point of it for exotic or legendary cars.

nice numbers. My m50/s52 hybrid 2.9l made very similar numbers on 12psi. Lighter motor too, but gotta love the 12v big six! Love the way they sound.

bbs style 5`s can be found on wheelwhores every now and then, or on e39 tourings, 8 series as well.

Nice work. My E30 M3 S14B25 Turbo is producing 270rwhp @ 9psi. Be interesting to see what I get at 14psi soon.

Personally i would leave it stock and do it with a e30 because of its history but i love this 1, nice paint also

Nice shark fin on the back does that help you when you are swimming in the ocean chasing manatees? haha how gay.
anarchy916 2 years ago
The car is delivered from the factory with that "fin" or what you are calling it..
MoePower2 2 years ago
Wow dude really? Unlike those Honda kids running around with wings that belong on a airplane, that thing is actually functional.
unluckykid256932 2 years ago
just so you know thats factory, something that actually serves a purpose.
hondaray2000 2 years ago
@anarchy916 That's not gay. This car was derived from DTM racing, and the DTM version needed the spoiler as downforce for the speeds it goes at.

S50 or S38 all the way!!!
and with gigantic turbo =)

I have personally seen this car and it is infact a inline 6 out of a 535i.
It also infact fits. It is not the stock engine that came in these cars no

Yes, but the stock E30 M3 engine is an S14. The description of this video says this is an M30 turbo...the M30 is an I-6 engine.
