I remember this game or I should say I remember how much money I lost...One of my worst Master System game along with Double Dragon and Out Run.

at the end of the first run through the Rome level everything got mega wierd. Medusa had naked boobs and that goat headed dude just appeared out of no freakin where.

and on the second part...wtf is Anubis (he's Egyptian!) doing in Rome!? lol history phail! well, maybe that was AFTER they "borrowed" all of that Egyptian culture lol.

Future World looks like it's from that anime Battle of the Planets, lol.

oh god, the ending was wack.

i used to play this at either a gas station or at a store like Wal-Mart when i was between 7 and 10 years old and my mom would give me a quarter or two. I always died really fast but the game just looked so cool I didnt care! back then, video games were like a whole other dimension of reality and they just drove me insane!

Hey, the arcade ending is no less lazy. The only difference is you have the final background onscreen during the credits roll and you get to enter your name.

Yeah. This game was the first one I bought for the SMS. It was fun but incredibly challenging. I seemed to get lost a lot. I think there were glitches that allow you to skip around in the game to different areas.

Since this game was so tough, I figured out a way to get more continues by pressing start on the second controller port to get more tries playing as Ben when Yohan has had enough.

Definitely a tough game! I finally beaten it yesterday morning, so I wanted to check just now if anyone else had the testicular fortitude to survive the challenge. It was nearly seven years ago when my brother stumbled upon this game among another batch of SMS games he got from a thrift store, that is why I usually pop in those stores more often in hopes of finding another bargain like that. I heard that SMS was actually superior to the NES, but Nintendo held more third party licensing...

yeah, the SMS is a bit more powerful, but like you said, the NES got more people to jump on it's 8-bit bandwagon.

beat this game once...i cheated by playing with 2 players with only me playing, and on my last life for player one, i would push start on player 2. WALLA! double the lives! (however, this only works before certain stages if i remember correctly) good playing! :-)

anyone ever get te warp on the first part of world wars for laplace? that cuts the game almost in half!

On the SMS version ? Wow I wish I had gotten that, it must be random cause I never got it in 5 playthroughs when I was making this run.

I wouldn't say it cuts the game in half, but... To me, the warp comes killing a soldier arriving from the right at the first crossing of the streets. He appears just before the "normal" pair of enemies that regularly comes from there.

There is another warp, but I don't remember where.

The most difficult phase for me was the starirs in the japanese world.

@cutejoshie yes, I used to have it! Never knew exactly how, however. As I child, I deduced that I had to run the faster I could without killing anyone until I reached and killed the special soldier (if I remember well, the second crossroads after entering the "city").
