While cranking through every 'Ombra mai fu' I could find on YouTube I finally came to the postings of Malena Ernman and was instantly drawn in by the color of her voice. These renditions are magnificent.

i prefer 1000 times her over any natural male soprano( wich I am ) haha, she sounds much more tender and sweet.

@NaturalCastrato then you have a tin ear. this music was made for a castrato. a "male" soprano is indeed inferior to a castrato voice
