  • too noisy its like am about to board a plane!!

  • i don't like USB cooling pad i want something with run with power A/C . Can you give me idea how to make power adapter cooling fan give me some advise. thank u for reply me back. I really appreciate it.

  • @paLLfuckaLL looks like speedfan to me. free download

  • hahahaha! you absolute legend that fan made me laugh so much! well done though great mod!

  • @arakneez correct

  • nice

  • look in my videos to see the coolest HP Pavilion. "hp pavilion dv6125ea (seria dv6000) cooler mod "

  • my GPU is running at 66C i have a double fan board under it as well.

    its a pavilion dv8 though

  • @TheDeathLord911 The dv8 is a powerful beast that runs hot all the time, I would not suggest cutting any holes in such an expensive laptop. Just be sure to take care of it and never block the cooling intake.

  • can you show a video how you did it or provide intructions

  • My dv6000 goes up to 55 degrees just by booting :(

  • @folke787 yes these laptops were not built properly

  • am gonna act smarter than you and hook up a fridge instead of the fan !

  • @Seiferzed nice!

  • wow ! so all i have to do is make a HOLE in my laptop and hook a GIANT ass FAN in there ... why didn't i think of that before ... You're Genius !!!

  • @Seiferzed JUST A NOVELTY VIDEO, of course we do not cut holes in our customers laptops.

  • I have an hp pavillion dv3060CA with an amd gpu overheating constantly. Nothing to actualy cool it like a heat sink or anything, recently it has started to really fk up during games like black screen then wont start back up til it cools down.

it could be that or mab the cpu has had it because it runs at 80~90 constantly .....

I blame HP for theyr crappy ........... stuff..

  • cool haha i never can get my notebook up so hot..

Under stress test it's max 64 and then it's running on my bed wth bad cooling haha

  • my dv6 gets soo hot

  • its nice but kinda not rly functional w fan sticking out and very loud.

  • What AMD processor does this have & what speed, as in GHz?

  • @Bort1965 it has a 1.8ghz dual core cpu TMTL58 I believe

  • I'm just going to put my laptop in a bucket of water to cool it down. It's easier then taking this damn thing apart :)

  • great solution apart from one thing, you'll cut your balls off if you put your laptop on your lap.

  • Do you really get shutdowns at 70c? My laptop lowest idle temperature is 50 on both cores, with ~60-65 being the temperature when I use stuff like browser, media players, flash players, other small applications. When I play games however, it jumps to 75 and up. Coretemp registers peak levels at 95 or so degrees. And I never once had a shut-down/ reboot. The CPU is T6600 by the way.

  • i have a pretty same trick for those who has dv series laptops, its much easyer then this. Just drew little holes whereunder your gpu and buy a coolerpad.

I have a hp dv2000 right now and before the temp was 75c now 50-65c max

  • do you have a tutorial???

  • Friendly acoustics play a huge part in the design of a laptop. Yea this will make it the laptop cool - a huge fan will make it cooler. Who is going to want to listen to the nosiy fan in a quiet environment?

  • I researched the DV 2000 Van, and that Fan Just Pushes Air Sideways, Its a Circular Designed Housing , and actially blows Air sideways, I would Opt, for a 50MM or 55MM a 60 mm curved Fin, it will stick out, have to get a Fan Shield ,, Perhaps, one can Install a connector to the Power 5 Volt inside the case Jump off the Fan and can try different Fans, for results.

  • @calforman actually this blows very hard when removed from its original heatsink, it is the heatsink that makes the fan pull air from the side.

  • @calforman hey i have DV2700 notebook i have changed my cooling fan but my hdd really gets hot what could be the problem here is the link to see CPU Temp

i have dv 2600 i replace my cooling fan and my hdd gets really hot wht should i do now here is there result of my system info if u please look at and tell what to do. here is the link to look at the system Temp

  • @shuan44 ......

I would take off the Breathing tape on the Plastic that holds down the Door to the Hard Drive...

Also you may Consider drilling tiny air holes in the Plastic, ( Removed from the Computer) to allow more air to get in there... ... after that consider a Laptop Cooling pad,, Lot of them on the market ... that are streamlined..

Im working on a new miniature refrigeration method

  • Congradulations ,,, VERYGood Idea,,, HP Should use You as a Guidance Cousnelor

What is the Dimensions of that Fan,, 50MM 8-13 CFM or 60 MM 14.5 CFM

IT is worth it to stick a Exterior fan, or maybe two and cut the Hole,

Where Did you wire the Fan,,, Did you Use the USB port and 5 volt Fan ?

  • I would want to Run a Fan Shield, Hopefully a lowere Profile Fan,., on there,, IT's a Great Idea,,,

Im thinking of also running an Extra copper SHIM bent over the Heat Sink,,,and then

ride on that Fan,,, with a Screwed Heat Sink....

What did you wire the Fan to, to get your Voltage... what Voltage Fan...

    5 or 12 volt ....

Thanks for the Heads Up Idea

  • can i ask what temperature of you room

i think because of environment is one of the factor the your laptop keep on cooling

  • hey bro i have dv2700 ma fan also making noise i clean it but still making noise i have to change ma fan i was wondering to put copper shim and i wanna know how did u connect that extra fan where did u connect to .

  • Comment removed

  • where u go in the laptop to get that info?

  • It is an AMD board.

This is a "worst case" scenario.

Of course you do not want to cut a hole in your laptop.

This video is simply meant to show what it takes sometimes to cool these suckers down....

  • @ThePcPitstopAvonNY

This was simply a video to show what it takes to get it under 40 Celcius.

Of course it is not practical, our normal modification without making holes and such gets them down to the mid 40 range which is very acceptable on this model.

  • Hello.

To answer most of your questions.

I used a fan from an HP Pavilion DV2000 laptop.

I have the original fan still running inside the laptop as well.

Please note this laptop would stress out at 70 Celsius without this fan.

I have seen these models run cooler however not all of these motherboards are defective.

Just by putting in some custom copper shims, new thermal paste and making your internal fan run all the time by snipping the white and yellow wires does the trick most of the time

  • SO .....is it running an Intel or AMD processor? I have a very similar DV6000 series that has an AMD Athlon2. The only time it tends to run hot is when I am watching videos or dvd's, also maybe a defrag.

  • I have the same laptop. Can you please tell me how to get to the screen where I can view the temperature of my laptop?? The screen that shows yours running at 32c..? Thanks!

  • what fan did you use, was it a 3 pin or 4 pin, i was considering attaching a 3 pin fan to the current 4 pin wiring but don't wana cause myself any problems in the way of shorts etc..

  • when ever I run a game on my laptop such as Hot Pursuit 2 or COD 6, it goes as high as 110 C, then the laptop goes of suddenly without warning.

    I guess its overheating.

Im trying to search for videos how to open the laptop and clean it, but as of yet I have not yet found it. Coz to open up an HP pavillion dv6, its quite complicated I guess.

  • May i ask what kind of fan are you using under the laptop?

  • on my pc in fan full speed it is about 67 how to cool it down olease help????

  • You Attached an extra fan...did you remove the previous one?

  • fake

  • Could you do this on a tx1000...

  • @bluegummiworms

Yes I believe there is enough room under there to attach a fan on the TX1000 models.

  • How do you get to run so cool?

  • @shermanlee85856

By cutting a hole in it and attaching an extra fan.

  • Hi nice work

can you make a video about it?

make a tutorial how to do that?

    thx

  • UPDATE: I have made a makeshift base out of double sided weather stripping. It now idles at 29 Celsius and will not go any higher than 38 Celsius under hard gpu stress testing.

  • @ThePcPitstopAvonNY

Excellent vid....I just sent my dv2000 to you for this procedure.

I always thought these suckers ran very hot....Looking fo ward to getting back a super slinky cooooool machine....

    cheers S

  • @ThePcPitstopAvonNY can you upload a picture of it? please? T_T

I have a dv4-1212la, it starts at 60°C and goes all the way to 105°C.
