This is really bad. It's not just my opinion, it is also musically really bad. When you look at it from a musical standpoint, there is absolutely no talent here. This consists of the simplest chords, and sloppy drumming. Anyone with a month on an instrument could play this. His voice is also really generic, as are the lyrics. I don't feel any passion behind this or anything by Maroon 5. It sounds to me like they just want money. Maroon 5 is just another sellout pop group.

@SuperBuckalew You rwally should learn genre's better. Considering when this was made, when they were Kara's flowers. This was what was being played. Simplistic, smooth and simple. It was catchy and groovy. It wasn't about talent it was about soul. Which you sir clearly have a different deffinition of.

@xavier0307 So when you have soul, you don't need talent? Musicians should be able to emulate soul through their instruments, therefore needing talent. And I know exactly what genre this is, pop, which is short for popular. Any band that labels themselves as "pop" has no talent. Pop is just the glorified simplistic music that simple minded people can handle. People who buy into the mainstream don't understand complex rhythm structures and time signature changes. @SuperBuckalew Well i can see that, and after looking at your videos. I can see why you have such a point of view. Unfortunantly at the time this wasn't pop because kara's flowers was never in mainstream. I do tend to agree that in pop music you don't need talent. But most of those buy thier music from other people. And I completely agree that anything labeled pop in today's age is terrible. But in 1999 it was a bit different to say the least. Don't take it as insult. it's just a different opin.

Adam said in an interview that when he was younger and writing songs for Kara's that he went through a phase where he thought writing things that made sense was lame. So he aimed for these nonsensical, "acid trips" type lyrics because he thought he was being deep.
