  • @BarrysDaughter LOL Why do I assume that everyone lives within driving distance of the local Carniceria? OMG...you're doing better then I am. We don't have a Chinese take away near us. I have to make it at home...or drive quite a distance. LOL

  • @edenbainbridge At least he made the effort poor dear. LOL Thanks for watching the whole video. I know it's a long one. Love you poopsiedoodle!

  • Do you have a flour tortilla recipe? I have one that has been in the family for ages.

    4 c flour

    1 tsp salt

    1/2 c shortening

    1 1/2 c water

and you mix it all together, and then roll them out! Delicious!

  • @bunny9585 Love flour tortillas and i have the same recipe that you've sent me! Go figure! I'm gonna try and use my press for the flour tortillas...it's a stretch, but the press is super heavy! I'll let you know how it works. :-)

  • Great video :]

Where did you get the tortilla press? I can never find them here in town.

  • @LemonieRainbow The press came from Mexico. It's handmade out of mesquite wood, weighs about 15 pounds but worth every dime I paid for it. Try ebay under "mesquite tortilla press" or I can give you the website where I purchased mine. If you don't want something that large, there's always cast iron presses that you can get from Amazon.com. They run about $19.95.

  • I love your press!! I need a real good one. We have one that is plastic from the mexican market and it broke, and it didn't flatten them very well..

  • @bunny9585 I had the same thing happen to me!

  • @LemonieRainbow Gotta watch that plastic! Oi!

  • @bunny9585 OMG...never plastic! The leverage you need to press down will kill a plastic one every time. If you'd like a cast iron one...amazon.com for $19.95. Don't get aluminum either. The handle always breaks. If you want to invest in one like I have, you can try ebay or I can send you the website where I bought mine from. Search under "mesquite tortilla press."

  • Try your local grocery store or carniceria and you should be able to find some Manseca or Masa. You can find it in the flour/sugar/oil isle of the grocery store. Easy to make and easier to eat! LOL

  • @barstowmama I'll be looking....thanx again for another great idea:)

  • Now you done did it (excuse the ebonics.......lol)!! I will definitly be doing this as well!!!!!! Wow!!!! Could I use Corn flour or Corn Meal?

  • @Justasimpleservant Sorry hon...the answer to your question is the one up above your comment. I don't know how I forgot to hit the reply button. I feel rather silly right now. *blushes*
