  • Im from the area and I love the history of Danvers State Hospital, so I appreciated the fact that you guys drove 4 hours out here to do this, thank you.

  • @ThousandHats do you guys still do these shows I'd love to see more abandoned buildings like this good work guys and Bryen is so awesome!

  • shawn is the funniest guy hahahaha

  • The creepiest part is that basement fence. Danvers closed in '92 but what date did patients stop using the Kirkbride? Cool video!

  • they just keep talking about the building.

  • Cool video. Anyone know what song is at the very beginning?

  • Its crap like this that makes my glad it was torn down

  • This was an awesome vid! I was freaked out by the plastic arms! I know where im going if theres a zombi invasion! Zombies couldnt find me

  • 15:39

  • They should come to Sweden to the most hunted house in Stockholm

  • You guys remind me of The Most Haunted crew..Well against my better judgement I watched this till the end & it was interesting in the respect of seeing whats inside a abandoned building but if I may give some constructive criticism??? Cut out the crappy commentary & get rid of that guy who keeps moaning every 5 seconds because its spoils what is a reasonably of not boring in places show.

  • I am quite happy with your program and being honest, I am part of a paranormal team. And these slick polished shows suck. I am yet to see one of the shows that come up with no proof of any haunting. Stay true to yourself you guys do a great job!

  • at 15:18 dere was a shadow at the topp floor that desepered at 15:19 can any one see it

  • @ronng21 i see something sort of move but it could be the lighting or the quality of the vid.

  • at 15:15 dere was a shadow im the corner of the camera

  • Oh I'm in Cape Ann Paranormal

society and we have tried to get in did u guys sneak? If not awesome but How????

  • Now are y talking about Danvers MA? I have been trying to get in there for years I live in Gloucester how did u do it?

  • Wonderful video, i live in danvers and my brother has one here before with his friends and he reports he heard footsteps. btw well done i love your videos!

  • what would i have to do to join you guys im moving back to NH in end of june to mid july ive my self done personal investagations mostly ive been studying the gilson rd cemetary onc i get home i am resuming my study i stay for 4 hrs a night with 4 people all on the 4 sides of the cemetry and we record EMF meters placed i would go in to detail BUT im runnign out fo room email and let me know i wana get on board

  • What were all those plastic arms at 27.20??Scared the life out of me.I love it when you tell us the history of a place as well.

  • Starting at 21:04, right after you talk about how creepy it is down there, I can hear a female voice that sounds like "it's ok we'll protect you". (listening with headphones) I also hear another female voice at 29:35 which sounds like a very clear "painful" and 29:49 sounds like a female moan.

  • 30:42 you can hear "right over there" in a creepy whisper of a voice. Was that a walkie talkie? WTF

  • Sorry about 30:40 starts

  • yup, 'lotta historih on that run

  • The footage at 21:02 is awsome, I remeber when me and my friends were running there tunnels similar to that, the creamating room is cool as well... All you have to do is follow the pipes in the tunnel and it brings you to the power/generator house, amazingly huge and beautiful... You guys should check it out. Essex County Mental Hospital,NJ. I also had this weird feeling like someone/something kept looking at me, but I was like eh, whatever. As long as it doesn't hurt me.

  • I went to Essex County Mental Hospital in Northern, NJ.. It was creepy, But after awhile me and my friends were running around in the tunnels and fucking with each other.. It isn't so once you get used to it... Just don't think of ghost or what used to happen here and you fine... Being high made it a whole lot creepier but fuck it.. one of the best experience i had in my whole life. We spent 9 hours in the building, we saw everything, with one flashlight !

  • Ghost Adventures should have visited Danvers Insane Asylum

  • Anyone know the name of the intro song? I must have it in all it's creepy goodness.

  • created not for the mentally ill. that came later. and wasnt actually land Hawthorn lived on.

  • Been there. It's creepy! use too have parties

  • Dang.....this vids littered with symbology....

  • Danvers was eventually an experimental facility with human subjects. Once all the psychoactive drugs had been researched to a maximum, on human subjects with little outside contact, the heroic Ronald Reagan swooped in and wearing a Superman suit closed most of these types of places. However the Mass. Kennedy rule insured this horrible place would stay open longer for more chemical brainwashing research-or else(JFK, RFK, etc).

  • @Blues353 fucking hell... all thats missing is "in 1957 a rabid wolf boy escaped his asylum chamber and butchered 30 other patients, leaving tormented spirits behind"

  • Ignore the Pansy-Ass -Moms-Basement-Dwelling -"Critics".

They're the spectators of the world; ie: they'll Never get up the initiative to do what you guys do.

If you haven't seen the movie "Session 9" yet, I think you'd really like it---It was set in Danvers.

  • i would love cod4mw2 would have a Multiplayer online level designed as a huge abandoned asylum like this. two modes: daytime and nightime. it would be a crazy level...

  • 19:04-19:07 watch the bottom stairs from the left side; either it's just a camera circular lens trick or lens smudge or dust or wind moving a dusted old paper down the staircase or just a case of Pareidolia. but there's something grayish roundish thing that just moved.

  • i didnt kno u could put videos that long on youtube

  • I kept hearing a female voice, it's hard to make out the words.

  • i like the vid, but man these guys talk to much.

  • i just found this channel,i love it!

  • This where the devil spends his summer vacation.

  • so why was there a wall in the tunnels full of gloves? this has been bugging me...

  • @ThousandHats... great! Have fun. I envy y'ins. Exploration of old factories, rail-yards&RR-ROW, ancient houses(in which one I live, city once-was-es,caves, sewers and natural what-nots was once my oyster when I was young and later- when work finished- I was off on my Raleigh mt bike to the quest- every day!

I'm gonna follow your adventures here... I'm stuck in my hospiddle bed almost 24-7 now. Diseases are worse than ghosts... @ least a ghost eventually 'flys-away.' Ennyways, glad to help.

  • ... the "heat" you feel is exactly that; Rising heat caused from rot & decay.

All that rotting wood & whatnot. Its how old buildings like these burn down-

spontaneous cumbustion. What you smell is yes, heated dust & bio-material,

similiar to that on a furnaces' manifold when it first heats as winter hits. Plus

trace alcohol produced by enzymes & bacteria within the rotting elements

in them moisture-laden moldysealed buildings... Nasty! I'd' advise wearing class2 activated charcoal masks...

  • @SittingMooseShaman Thanks for the tidbit, that's actually really good info. We'll remember that should we ever come across it again. Thanks for watching! :)

  • Top shot for your footage. Anything that I can see on Danvers gets my approval.

  • Danvers MH is that where Rose Red was shot? It looks like the mansion used in the movie Rose Red

  • @tylerhaunted Naw m8, its definately not, although it is by gothic design, t'aint the Dan.

  • hippa out the window there lol !! loved the video..thanks for posting before they put up the condos

  • I would love to do an exploration like this! I am currently looking for a place to explore and take some photos without getting arrested or hurt badly. lol I am so envious and I wish I could be a part of a team like yours:) good show!

  • I understand the thrill of danger and the fascination of decaying buildings, but to enter a building such as this, without even a hard hat, is just plain stupid. You may not fear death, but I'm sure your family would very upset.

Secondly, it must be great to be there, but watching this was as tedious as looking at a friend's holiday photos (correction; a friend's BADLY LIT holiday photos).

  • @angscatsndogs Well, true as that all may be, you had the free will to stop at any time. Thanks for watching! :)

  • 26:59 hehe

  • great job ,it would be more scary to think that this type of places exits, but we now just put the mentally ill and throw them out on the streets give them a pill

  • bagabones well im jealous yeah so what my spelling sucks, anyway great work, you are correct i would be more scared if it was functioning today, those poor souls,i think make it historical site safe it to show what mistakes that we humans make against each other.anyway great work great job

  • I have only just begun to watch your vids... Love your work.

  • I thought it was pretty awesome. I think maybe some of the haters are just jealous they haven't been able to explore it. The only part that was annoying was your NY accents! West Coast baby! :P

  • great video

  • Great documentary. Health safety is one problem, getting lost the other. I guess you might benefit from a caving / cave diving course, although I have to admit that the use of a guide rope might not be as helpful as in diving or caving...

  • you guys should go to the ghost town in chernobyl and explore all over the city

  • the guys walk in. then chris hears "hello chris...". fuck its back to session 9

  • There are way too many haters on youtube. Instead of doing what these guys do, people talk as much crap as possible on youtube.

  • i must say i really like you guys videos. Its nice to hear the story behind the places.

    Thumbs up :)

  • I could never get in with enough time, lights, etc to see all of the inside, so I'm just wondering.... how much of the stuff you came across was movie prop/set dressing for Session 9? (like the asbestos suits.... creepy!)

You guys are kinda goofy (which is great)! "fucking psycho bullshit" HA! Love it!

If you're looking for a teammate, I'm your girl! I love the morbid beauty of an abandoned building, especially one with architecture and history like Danvers had.

  • hey thanks for getting in there before it was gone! I used to do some exploring up there. I never saw anything I'd call supernatural, but there was definitely enough decay to make the place FEEL haunted!

It's surprising how much the building(s) fell apart in the short time since the hospital closed. I'm sure a lot was due to vandalism, etc but still, it shows the (low) quality of maintenance of the place when open.

  • I've finally decided not to spend any time watching this show. Are they getting paid? If so, how do I sign up for such... nothingness and yet get paid.

Thank you ThousandHats for uploading though, one never knows what someone else will like.

  • @Species710 Who said we got paid? Thanks for implying that it looks like we have a budget though! As far as nothingness goes, we're a documentary free from the demands of cable ad execs. If we find nothing, that's what we report. Thanks for not watching! :)

  • @Species710 ..hey all they did was provide a tour!! i men good guides but not a good paranomal crew. A paranomal crew goes out loud 4 evidence not 4 look at walls,we got lost, too many lights going on n i could not take it serious, this is crepy OF COURSE ITS CREPY!!! other wise it wouldnt be a good place 4 paranomal investigation. well this was a tour! i still give them credit 4 going in there!

  • In regards to the heat sensations he mentions at around 19:00; There are massive steam tunnels running all along the complex. My guess is that some of these old steam pipes may still be carrying bits of steam , especially if its still connected to it's main source.

  • where that is now is called avalon. my friends live up there and they rebuilt apartment homes but they still kept the main building....... but they rebuilt everything. the weird part there is still cemetary and the undergrounds where they kept people and the towers where they would leave them up there to DIE. i know right

  • asbesto's fucking dangerous

  • 26:58 "This place is fucking psycho bullshit" XD

  • is this in Massachusetts?

  • @paintdataint yeah it is

  • @paintdataint

yup my friends lives in the apartments now

  • the guy who kept pushing them to go alone has balls

  • lol I liked the history lesson but when it beggins crap talk like "souls" and paranormal stuff, I'm like: WHAAAT???? :O it's just another stupid excuse to make a stupid show...

  • what's so paranormal about a mental hospital??!

  • @nunobelo

While this is maily an Urban Exploration documentary, we do look other aspects of Danvers and all the locations we go to.

We don't create the rumors about hauntings, we just investigate them.

However, it has been surmised that places with such misery and raw negative emotion can perhaps leave beind an imprint or echo. Is this something that we all, believe? No, but we acknowledge the possiblity.

    Thanks for watching

    -Chris

  • The rooms remind me of Silent Hill

  • 3 minutes into this video its talking death for witchcraft(worshipping satan) but that is exactly the American Government. A bunch of BITCHES controlling with MONEY.

  • thats messed up im like FUUUUCCKKKK

  • okay, so who can explain the freaky ass gloved arms coming out of the wall at 30:45?

  • @quoe1

They were asbestos suits, props for the movie session 9.

  • lmao that fuckin packi or russian whatever its fuckin creppy lmao he wasint going anywhere alone hahah

  • @policedan haha "this place is fucking pshyco bullshit" HAHA LMFAO

  • you dont become a ghost when you die, thats rediculous, everybody knows you come back as a snork and live forever under the sea......i mean its pretty self evident

  • Genius. xD

  • i live right by here i heard some crazy stories about it. kids used to break in all the time at night for fun. but now they tore it down and there making condos out of it. Personally i would never live there.

  • the front of the building is still there that being the main building where administration was however it was gutted from only the exteior remains its still cool to look at though but i wouldnt recommend living there i hear it sucks besides they built over the graves

  • @shadow6543 they're building apartments, aren't they?

  • i saw something, like a clear figure moved, ive looked over it several times, it has to be someting, its when u look down the stairs at 19:00-19:05 , by the railing at the lowest level.

  • i seen what your talking abour right after the horse head??

  • I heard a woman say "right over here" and "ehe" at 30:00.. and it carries on a bit.. its fucking creepy

  • If I saw a ghost in that place I would shit myself.

  • Grreat video. REally enjoyed the documentary. I was disapointed in the fact that there were no attempts made to communicate with the spirits. I can only imagine the experiences people have had in there with the paranormal. That was disapointing to me but I did enjoy the tour and the history of the hospital.

  • This documentary was excellent. I really enjoyed watching this. I am disapointed in the fact that there was no attempt to communicate with any spirits. I figured there would be so many things happening but there was nothing. Great show guys... reallly did enjoy the tour and history behond the hospital.

  • This was great-thanks guys for showing a lot of us what we couldn't see on our own. This rocked!

  • These guys doesn't look very professional at what they do, but the view of the place from the inside was fascinating.

  • These guys are jerks but at least they gave us some decent footage.

  • i love how one of the patients thats in a jacket is laying on a nice hardwood floor with sweet baseboards lol .... quality!

  • I hate to be the only one to say so, but it just seemed like this particular show was a waste of time to watch. The entire time was spent in this hospital on a tour to nowhere. The only things talked about is how bad of shape the place is in, and nothing paranormal was captured or even attempted to be captured. There was only one brief moment where one of the so called "investigators" called out hello, asking if anyone else was there. Waste of time to watch.. sorry!

  • That's because nothing paranormal exists!

  • @PhillipBrunelle Actually, this was what i needed! im tired of all those bullshit paranormal shows that catch dust on there camera and call it some spiritual orb! ive always wanted to go to danvers and explore and when it was demolished i felt that i would never get to see it but thanks to this crew and their walk through

  • what a kick ass documentary!! I've been inside there! its so fuckin creepy! we heard banging on the walls and people walking above us and moaning and shit...pretty creepy...

  • I've never had a reason to, so ive been admited to an asylum

But ive always wanted to be.

    Is that a bad thing?

  • The cops actually let you film in there? I thought it was off limits to the public? Cool documentary

  • can you imagine if you were there when the floors collapsed on each other? damn i would shit myself

  • you guys should go to worcester asylum. i hear down the hallways you can hear the former patients screams echo through the hallways. plus blood spattered along the walls

  • It was suppose 2 house about 400 but but people just dump the sick on them and ended up with around 600 some in the attic.

FAST FACT: Did u know mental hospitals were made 4 not just the crazy people but, people w/ eating disoders, and special people 2. That was because doctors didnt know what those were and they didnt have names. Check out my channel.

  • Salem village- therefore the witch castle. who has seen session 9? Good movie, good movie.

  • hey....fuck you =P

  • other than cameras and the meth there smoking they dont seem prepared

  • Re Realdeal0083 - I haven't gone urbexing so I'm not really qualified to say what you have to prepare for, but it blows me away that some of the crew are so willing to go off on their own, not just here but in a lot of other places too. The buddy system isn't a matter of being 'scared' but being prepared. Say you fall through the floor and break your legs and you're out of radio contact. Not supernatural, not by any stretch unlikely, and not something you can cure just by acting tough!

  • So jealous...

  • I think you guys are doing a fantastic job, I 'm such a sucker for this kind of stuff you have got me hooked! And it doesn't hurt that you guys are effing hilarious.

  • its now the danvers avalon. i know i live there.

  • whats it like??

  • it looked really dangerous.

  • i went to go walk through it and i came a week late... they had JUST started demolishing it when i went.. i was sooo mad

  • did you get some good pictures of the interior?>

  • snuck into here before they knocked it down and have heard so many stories from older kids than myself about crazy trips into there

  • Thank you for posting this, very interesting and I can not believe that they could restore those decayed buildings. I heard that parts of it burned down, so maybe there is not much left there now?

  • my coffie is cold

  • Really enjoyed this!

Did you guys ever find out where the heat was coming from?

What is that green light that I keep seeing through Shawn's, and only Shawn's, camera? Is it some near-infrared thing?

Are you folks ever gonna put up the Byberry film?

And ...is there any way I can get the music to this? :) Thanks! Really loved this...

  • you guys should go to what ever is left of worcester state hospital

  • "Safety is paramount"???

    Are you joking??

You guys walked through mold and asbestos without even wearing those inadequate dust masks! And when you did wear them you wore them improperly!!

  • LOL! Thank you for underlining our, "Do as we say, not as we do" policy! We feel just fine...*cough cough*

  • Uh, those dust masks are NOT sufficient to prevent inhalation of asbestos particulates!!

  • With the history it has...once the apartments are built I bet you get another call or two about the bumps in the night

  • Nice job, its a shame that its torn down and now appartments :(

  • i wasent able to see the end before i was busy doing something and called away i neve knew that they cept it a small tear of joy has passed my ckeek

  • ha ha jay lick some of this ya know how you have the feeling that the plastic arms would reach out at you oh god i know how you feel i explored the under ground tunnels of a place called casaloma its a 3 million doller castle and every fucking pipe i walk by i feel like its going to explode or blast water in my face and every lamp looks like its going to thow itsef at me ha ha you get used to it...sometimes:)

  • I was hoping that there would have been EVP sessions. It seemed more like a guided tour then a true paranormal investigation.

  • This is from our Urban Exploration track...not every place is conducive to a traditional paranormal investigation. As shown in the episode, we had JUST gotten an EMF detector, so there wasn't supposed to be much of that. And it would be the last guided tour you'll ever see there, since it's been turned into condos. Maybe someone who lives there will let us return for EVPs? Thanks for watching!

  • im pretty sure that when ray or jay is trying to get in touch with the outher group when they are down in the Tunels at 29,35 The first time he says Who else is down here its like a fadeed "leave here" From a womans Voice, im not sure if its correct but im pretty sure im not wrong.

  • its a female voice, i had to turn up my volume a lot to hear it clearly but im sure as hell That Woman is Saying Aiter "Leave here" "Please leave" or "Praise the living" im not sure, Heard it over a dusin times, Check it out and deside for your selfs, and please Gimme a msg or something about it so i know its not just me!

  • i could hear something at that time aswell dreadraven cant make out what but sounds like a womans voice

    scary stuff

  • At 29:29 there might be a woman's voice.

  • there was a woman with the group

  • Heyyyy Bri!

well, that was well worth waiting for!!

Dunno if any of you guys have played any of the Silent Hill games, but....its like THE SAME as Silent Hill 2. Paint peeing off the walls, long corridors and rust everywear. freaky!

And yea that voice scared the hell outta us aswell, though to us it sounds more like "I'm over there" which is ALOT scarier!

So guys.... what's the next one... and WHEN WILL IT BE HERE?! haha

Come to the UK soon :]

    Peachy & Hannah

  • Except Silent Hill 2 sucked.

  • if you were givin a tour of the whole place in its own time you would get fucked up from whitnessing such hell

  • There is a creepy voice at 30:40 when Jay says what I believe is Rainy and Jay are in the tunnels, who else is down here? Frank, where are you this is Jay and there is a whispered response saying "Right Over There," that was creepy and I think everyone missed that evidence.

  • Good ears, mdwells777! We heard this during the editing and I went back to the DVD to check and you are right - that is what is said, but we couldn't confirm if that was us or not, so we chose not to point it out. Thanks for watching - check out our other episodes! :)

  • Yes. as I happened to watch that part of the clip I noticed the voice. It sounded as if it said "Right over there."

Interesting the way it had sounded. Almost as if it were coming from a walkey talkie and after the voice saying "there" it makes a cut-out noise.

  • Cool video, probably the most nicely assembled one on Danvers yet.

You guys got a pretty good tour of the place considering how long you were there, most people who made it up to visit would wind up seeing maybe 60-70 percent of it, tops.

The deafening silence in there really did drive you mad after a while...it felt like your ears were packed with cotton. I had a very bad personal experience with that mold in the basement, started coughing and couldn't breathe!

    Thanks for posting this!
