  • this is what rock n roll should sound like. this is PRIMAL from the gut. you can hear the anxiety and tension being released. Massive mindblowing SURGE of noise. Make me feel so HIGH.

Not many bands can hold a candle to this record.

  • Hmm I can remember having sex to this song.

  • Still sounds good.

  • This sounded so fing good in 198....err....whatever it was.

  • 'Cmon! give the kid a break! We all felt, when we were young, having the most interesting taste in music. Besides, this music is not being played anywhere anymore, so he took the time to actually do some research about this band. At least let's praising for that.

  • @vivelavidarocka I'm a she, and I sure do appreciate you for saying this. :) I am, of course, prideful for finding stuff like this! And I thrive to be different. Thanks for supporting me.

  • 555555*

  • Like a hurricane

  • fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii fiiiiiiiiiii cut head

  • excellent..love this song and love love love 'Psychocandy'...!

    I even have the t-shirt!

  • FUCKIN TUNE

  • 2 trapped assholes in a hole voted negative.

  • Totally Groovy fuzzfest with a 60s sound! Type "Trojans of Evol - Through the night" in the YouTube search box and hear a similar song from 10 years earlier. Listen to the guitar break in the middle :-) Jesus and Mary Chain are a great group, this is a great song, its on my MP3 player!

  • sound itself

  • this made me want to play the guitar!

  • I love these lads songs "9 Million Rainy Days", that was in Miami Vice's scene. Brilliant scene!

  • I went to a record shop and asked the guy if he had any Jesus and Mary Chain.

    Nope.

The next week, I was looking through the new arrivals.

    AND THERE IT IS.

    PSYCHOCANDY!!!!

I was stoked. But it's basically a secret kept from everybody because nobody my age really cares about this good music.

It's all, "Ooooh, Usher. Rhianna. Whooooo."

I'm sick of it. :P Nobody. NOBODY is interested or open-minded to good music.

    I hate this generation.

  • @hobosandbuttmonkeys thou art my friend

  • @radiotractore Haha! Thank you! :D You must be my friend as well.

  • @hobosandbuttmonkeys You're not alone. I just discovered them and I'm absolutely in love. Its almost hypnotizing.

  • @hobosandbuttmonkeys Without wishing to sound like one of those tossers who says 'I'm a only 2 days old and I love the Smiths' or whatever I wasn't even born when most of the music I listen to came out, so there are a few of us out there!

  • @Soulinisolation1 Neither was I! I mean, I grew up around some of the music I like now but I'd never thought about it.

I'm a love of 60s. I was born in 1996 and I just remember the only CDs I had were from my Mums collection and they were Best Hits of the 50s, Best Hit of the 60s, and Best Hits of the 70s.

And everybody else was still busy with they're Rhianna or Black Eyed Peas then.

  • @hobosandbuttmonkeys Don't worry, kid. Every generation hates itself. It's not a bad thing. I (and I bought Psychocandy as soon as it was available) was pissed about people my age listening to Duran Duran, Wham and Spands.

  • @hobosandbuttmonkeys Well, I hate this generalisation.

  • @hobosandbuttmonkeys

yeah. nobody but you. chill out kid.

  • @hobosandbuttmonkeys

    Well your a pretentious self-praising prick aren't you ! :D

  • @TheSorrow1O1 Oh, I sure am. If you were in my situation you would understand why. I realize that I'm sort of pompous about myself but you know, at least I'm not a coward to stand up for what I say.

Nice alliteration. Pretentious, self-praising prick. :)

  • @hobosandbuttmonkeys way to be hypocritcal in your own post about music ignorance when you are obviously close minded to mainstream artists

  • @Iburnchurches Thank you! I appreciate your input. :)

  • @hobosandbuttmonkeys im jus saying, practice what you preach

  • @hobosandbuttmonkeys

Instead you spit on what your were, you should let them time for grow up and help them to open their mind ;) we r all sick of this shit : not the briant human race BUT the fucking tv-education and fucking politics who brainwashed them.

  • so damn cool...........LOVE jesus and mary chain...amazing song!but my favourite album of theirs is Honey's dead!just simply unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It's an orgy of sound.'80's Indie f*****g rules! The Smiths, The wedding present, The jesus and mary chain, what a selection!

  • @rezeve69 What do you consider music?

If you don't like it, you can piss off.

They didn't ask for you consent.

  • One of my favorite songs of all time, thank you for posting it.

  • i am psychocandy

  • This is really great :) buying an album of them soon, which one is the best?

  • @BorisVanMeurs Psychocandy is still ranked their greatest, Darklands is good too, but Psychocandy is a classic.

  • @GrungeRiver Nice, that's the one I orded :)

  • @GrungeRiver I have both on vinyl! yeah, Darklands is a good album but Psychocandy is definitely their best! I love the mix of Phil Spector wall of sound pop melodies and fucking LOUD guitars! which is why I love bands like Nirvana, Husker Du, Pixies and Sonic Youth! it's that combination of noise and melody, it gives me a boner! (metaphorically speaking)

  • @BorisVanMeurs

When I first played this album, my parents said it sounded like jet planes taking off. The 1980s were such great times.

  • weasome =P

  • pure genius.

  • Five votes genious, no comment? Let me do first. But I miss that song which is also awful loud and starts: "I get ahead on my motorbike... there`s nothing left but me." Thats my favorite of that rec. Couldn`t find it on Tube. Place it, man place it!

Regards (Now I gotta listen a Hole)

  • The song your refering to is "The Living End"

Ill put it up for ya.

  • i am a giant fan of this. this is from a metalhead by the way

  • Ugh.

  • Any chance I could request you to put up "My Little Underground?"

  • pheneomenal song you've just mentioned there....luv the part when he sings, "I can't, can't understand it, don't know why, don't know why" - immense
