How nice of you to mention. Yes it was the beauty and how long she held held notes that impressed me and after getting into opera, I was asked to sing in my choir at Mount Carmel in Poughkeepsie. I never had the courage to ask to sing but was flabbergasted that i was asked to join- I now cantor as well as sing in the choir and have started voice coaching in NYC So not Staten Island, there are Mount's all over lol

Leona's voice helped get me interested in opera-I heard her sing on a Christmas album with Placido I got as a gift-He voice blew me away and I had to hear more Brava diva!
