@UltraMankiller They are 3rd party tools which create elements you can insert into a NoLimits track. HSAK and Elementary aren't really needed much anymore as Newton 2 can do just about everything you want. Google Newton 2.
@UltraMankiller Yes, it can, but it will take quite a bit of tinkering around with it before you learn how to make smooth tracks with it. It is Force Vector Design. You create segments of time and tell it how much the Gs/roll changes during that segment. Take a look at my newest ride, Prism. That was made entirely in Newton 2, and its smoothness and intensity represents years of experience working with N2.
No. Up until Abominable and Sidewinder, I have been using the program Elementary with the HSAK (Heix Swiss Army Knife). Cobra and Maelstrom were 100% hand made.
I used a program called "Newton" with a tiny amount of Elementary to make Abominable and Sidewinder. Newton, Elementary, and HSAK are all available at coastersims(dot)com
I do not own the song, therefore you are free to use it as you wish. Newton is basically FVD for dummies. It uses a graphical interface instead of just plugging in numbers and hoping.
i tried it out ( newton ) and i don't really like it ( i am much better at hand one stuff ) plus H sak is easier to use to me.
p.s. i finaly got a CS username ( same as my youtube like you ( when i get the time i will download some of your coasters and i will upload some of mine. )
got a few things, first great original idea id definitely ride this, second my only problem with it is non of the rolls are heartlined, third you made me want my nightwish cd back haha, gave it away a few months ago
CAN YOU PLEASE PUT THIS ON OTHER THAN THRILLNETWORK?!?!?!? It says i have to be a member at thrill network. When I do try to register, IT WONT LET ME!!!
If you turn on the "show hearline" in the display menu, you can actually see what a heartline is. Hartlining means you are using that line to create as few lateral G's as possible.
Heartlining makes the track roll around the train instead of the train rolling around the track (i.e. a heartline roll: the riders spin around their own centerline as opposed to the track spinning around on its centerline. This essentially removes almost all lateral Gs experienced by the rider. B&M and Intamin use it a lot, and it was invented by Stengle, I believe.
Well, i think on some of the inversions, drops, etc. there should be custom supports...but ur right that the prefab supports worl! They just dont work so good! The coaster could be better! All you need is to make some custom supports for the overbanked corner and for the inversions! Especially on the corkscrews!!!
after that - looks pumpy and turns are overbanked. that first overbanked turn is crawling
and
90deg turns are good when there is elevation change thruought the turn but a flat turn will have 1 lateral G no matter how fast the turn is taken
as far as people commenting on using the prefab supports.... there's no reason to make custom supports on every support when the prefab ones are proven and work just fine.
Go to thrillnetwork(dot)com and DL it. There are a few pumps and jerks, as well as some red lats. This was one of my first few coasters. In any case, I made everything the way I did on purpose.
making supports for steel coasters takes a very long time. It took me 3 days of constant work to make the supports for tommahawk. I wasn't quite ready for making custom supports when I made this. You can auto support woodies in about 3 clicks of the mouse. If you want to see custom supports, look at tommahawk.
hEY, right before the imelman, there is a straight away. Is there a launch or break there??? Or is it just a place 2 catch ur breathe??? PS. I LOVE THIS GAME!!!! I dont have fraps so i dont have any vids!!!
No, this is not an rct game. This is NoLimits. It is basically the best rollercoaster sim available to the general public(GP). If you want to build a park, get rct. If you want to build a coaster, get nolimits. It is about 30$, and it is an internet DL. Very difficult to use.
yeah, I'm usually a little bit too lazy to make my own. If you look at my coasters "beer", which only has two or three prefabs, and "maelstrom", which I don't believe I used any prefab supports, you will see that I don't always use prefabs. Just most of the time 8P
Switch to top view. Then select the style of support you want from the bar just to the right of the manual support choices(the tubes and beams). Then click on the track where you want the prefab to go just like you would to place a track support node. Prefabs show up as brown lines.
Little advice for the first drop and lift. Its too slow going arround the inversion, you should have made like half or 3/4 of the lif LIM so it would go over the iversion smoother and quicker it would probably improve the perfromace of your coaster since there are some other slow parts besides that one.
this coaster was great overall but i dont think the type of coaster(inverted impulse) was made for this type of track. inverted impulse is for tracks like wicked twister at CP.......i think

practice and a lot of help from elementary lol. I "hand made" the overbank turns(In my maelstrom coaster) and the lift.
