Liked watching your youtube channel, We buy and sell antiques/collectibles coins and currency and silver and gold. We will have to come back and check your channel for updates! ;-) Nice..........
If you knew about coins 1st: you would not hold it this way. 2nd: I don't think people that know would bid as much as you would like by manhandling them this way and letting the world see. They are beautiful though.
Hi I have a question . is collecting gold coins of any sort, purely for the gold content a cost effective way to acquire gold? There are maximillion replicas on ebay for a couple o dollars. Your thoughts would be appreciated
@ANTIDALLARD Dont buy replicas. Buy from respected sellers some of which sell on ebay or through classifieds do your research first to work out the content of gold in certain coins. for example- these sovereigns are only 22 carat gold (not pure) so when you weigh them, the whole weight is not gold - only 91.6% of the weight is gold.
ebay garbage for buying if a seller doesnt like where the bid ended he just stops the auction its all a sellers game. and buyer is contract binded to buy after bid.
Half sovereigns were not issued in every year, and this is one date for which none were issued,
The last date of half sovereign struck by the Royal Mint for circulation was 1915, although some of the branch mints continued striking them until 1926.
It was not until 1982 that the Royal Mint started to strike and issue half sovereigns again to supply demand for bullion coins. It now seems likely that half sovereigns will continue to be issued.
ok for starts the acid on your hands eats at the metal so dont touch the coin anywere but rim and also put them in folders platic it also bad unless itscoin platic at any online dealer
Don't you know you're not suppose to rub your fingers all over an uncirculated coin, and rather than playing that Brittish music, why not educate us all on the history of the coin?
@stdspk You can manhandle it if you own it. It won't go below bullion price and if bullion price is all you want, then enjoy fondling your gorgeous gold.

1931 Half Sovereigns Don't Exist

any numismatist would know that that is not the way to handle a coin
funnyadsandvideos 3 years ago
How are you supposed to handle it then
debunker1905 3 years ago
by the edges, you are not supposed to touch the face and back of the coin with your bare finger

Amen! This person's coin is trash now.:)

BRNEYEDEAGLE 3 years ago
You're a moron. #1 gold is impervious. #2 sovereigns are not rare, so handling does not decrease value.
larrythemalicious 3 years ago
Actually, even on rare coins, ANY wear (which is caused by such things as putting your fingers on it) can decrease value.
coinwriter 3 years ago 3
@coinwriter not to mention that hellish ding along the left edge of the coin. Look again at 0.46 is a good place to see it. That's not a mint mark :)
