  • @WWoddyW sorry about that....my 2003 F350 is valued at 26k....not (formerly mine) my dads ranger....thats valued at 6k as of now.....we've had offers as high as 7200 though. Sorry for the confusion

  • You can play in the parking lot I'll pull stuff with my REAL truck....and when it comes to actual value, your dakota is worth a MAXIMUM of 4600......the Trade in for a 2000 ranger is even higher than that (around 5k minimum give or take a few) My truck on the other hand has been appraised at 26,000, My diesel engine even gets better mpgs than your gas engine. So if your gonna talk crap on trucks, talk crap about REAL trucks. not compact little puddle jumpers that i can pick out of my grill daily

  • K number one. I'm not actually the one that posted those messages almost TWO YEARS AGO so the fact that you people scroll that far through the comments says your all pretty much losers with not lives. Second of all I don't drive a ranger. My dad does .I drive a 2003 Ford F350 7.3 turbo diesel thats bullydogged to the max and its on a 3 inch lift with BFG Mud terrain tires. I can pull around most anything on the road. If you dont believe me come find me in Chadron Nebraska and I'll show you

  • its a cool idea, i used to have a ranger myself just for messin around on, they are good little trucks, light, lot of flex in the body, or at least mine did, and they got a little get up and go. I own a powerstroke now, used to have a cummins, and im sorry but there is no way a ranger with a v6 can pull a fully loaded haybale trailer, i love all trucks, i think they are the greatest invention ever, i would try any truck once.

  • @PowerstrokeDude97 I agree, there is no way a Ranger could ever tow a fully loaded hay bale trailer unless they did major suspension mods and stayed on completely level ground.

My 318 dakota would have trouble towing our 11,300lb hay bale trailer if I hadn't put 2000lb overloads off a 3/4 ton truck onto my dak.

I just pulled to heads off my dakota and at 240k miles it still looks like a brand new engine, not even a lip at the top of the cylinders. I get between 150-170 psi, always Mobile 1!

  • Well, at least you put a good motor in it... What size is it? Almost looks like a 4bt.

  • Rangers For Life

  • Global warming huh, what a douche bag. That shit has been disproven on numerous accounts. Its just a way for dummy Gore to make a living. Tree huggin dickweasle. Love the truck man.

  • did u still use the stock tranny??? cuz i was thinkin about doin this to my 03 ranger

  • @lt379 i am doing the same thing to my truck but its a 93 ford ranger i was wondering if i have to do anything to the engine compartment and if you changed the transmition or just get the bell houseing off of the dodge truck you got it out

  • got a ford ranger myself and was thinking about doing something like this was wondering what all did you do to the front of the truck to get the motor to fit? what tranny did you put in it?

  • @RANGER0494 i am doing the same thing to my truck but its a 93 ford ranger i was wondering if i have to do anything to the engine compartment and if you changed the transmition or just get the bell houseing off of the dodge truck you got it out of so if you have any info on it please tell me

  • i think its sick and ignore these hater tools

  • Great job on your Ranger. Obviously lots of man hours put into it, and it shows! I really like your Grille. Did you take it off of a 02+? or make it yourself?

  • So it's assholes like you that are responsible for global warming. Thanks dick.

  • @iJerm die hippie the problem with you assholes is you see something like black smoke and the first thing you do is open your fuckin mouths if you did sime research id bet youd find that that truck gets better milage than your prius so enjoy your electrical grave you idiot diesels are the most efficient engines known to man so fuck off

  • @dooinithard ok now i'm not one to be a hippy k? i drive a 94 ranger that gets 15mpg on a good day. and there is literally NO diesel that gets better milage than my moms prius. I'm not complaining about the fucking milage it gets i'm complaining about the black shit it's putting into the air. You know you can actually purposely add stuff to the engine to make black smoke go into they air and hey guess what ITS BAD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. i'm no saint but at least i'm not a dick (meaning you)

  • @iJerm well let me explain something to you if you put fuel consumption and emissions into an equation (if you need to use a calculator we understand but make sure its an enviromentally friendly calculator) a diesel will beat a gas engine of equivalent power output every time no mater how much black smoke it puts out. that is merely unburt fuel globulars due to a low air fuel ratio once the turbo spools black smoke will deminish and thos globulars dont go up they fall down due to the weight

  • @iJerm if your moms prius had a diesel in it instead of the four cylinder gaser it would get better than the average 40 mpg that prius gets with less emisions why because a turbo diesel makes more torque and power with a smaller displacement and unlike gas engines when you turn up a diesel the efficiency also goes up ive got a 06 powerstoke with 650hp and at 55 solo ive got over 25mpg diesels have the strictest emissions of any engine because of un eduacated retards like you (meaning you)

  • @iJerm so yes your right i am a dick (meaning me) why because i went to college and guess what i have a degree in suprise diesel if you people just eduacated yourselves on the matter instead of coming off half cocked you would have a different opinion on the whole matter if you just asked instead of stating you wouldnt get a dick response and yes the smoke producer is called a black box and yes i think they are dumb they damage the engine (cylinder wash) but thats human stupidity rise above son!

  • @dooinithard dude... i'm just sayin the black smoke is hellla bad for the environment. that's it. i'm not saying anything about the actual engines. as a matter of fact i actually like diesels despite the fact that diesel fuel is expensive. the truck is really nice the only thing bad i see about it is the shit coming out the back. your misinterpreting what i meant.

  • @iJerm I sure hope ur not a man... or even a male.. complaining about a little black smoke? and talkin about ur mommies prius? the pussy car of america... the smoke isnt gunna do much damage.. and before you run your mouth next time do some research look up the turbo diesel jetta beats up on the pruis with power and torque and can get better mpg.. haha I love when people like you run your mouths..

  • @ChandlerEash Lol your acting like I'M the one that drives my moms prius. again THE ONLY THING I'M SAYING IS THE SMOKE IS BAD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT! obviously its not JUST this truck causing it you dumbfuck now quit pretending like you know what i'm thinking. i could give 2 shits about MPG cuz its not my argument right now. global warming is not a theory any more it is FACT and it is due to mainly cars and if you got about 500,000 of these things rollin around in the US it's not gonna help.

  • @ChandlerEash and not to mention the prius isn't even american you idiot its made by toyota which obviously isn't american.

  • @iJerm Never said you were the one driven the prius bud.. but you were bragging about it from what I saw.. and global warming isn't even a fact dumbass before you know it their will be global cooling for an excuse to scare everyone.. the truck obvoiusly isn't makin all that smoke but that doesnt mean we all gotta bitch bout it like little idiots insted of seein how sweet it looks.. what the hell happened to man hood in america? and I know its the Prius isn't American never said it was

  • @iJerm The prius is still the pussy car that all of America drives..

  • @iJerm good it should be bad for the environment i ain't gonna live forever nobody gives a shit what happens to the world when they are dead

  • Sick Ranger!!!!! fuck all theese haterssss

  • ive seen this truck, or else some one made one just like yours, aint this truck in ohio out on rt.129 out past millville

  • ive seen this truck, or else some one made one just like yours, aint this truck in ohio out on rt.129 out past millville

  • sorry your paint came out looking like a beaner mobile

  • first ranger to have any bit of respect from me. go diesel go.

  • @nhspowerlifter59 does your mom know you're gay

  • If you're gonna be a bear.....be a grizzly. ; 0 )

  • what motor is it? the 5.9?

  • @14polaris14 No, Cummins 4bt 3.9L Inline 4 Diesel. Your thinking about the Inline 6 5.9L

  • well like the vid... and as for all the guys on the page leavin dumb comments i have a 1 ton 7.3 powerstroke that would pull ur 35ft haybale ur truck ur dads truck the other guys dakota and ur neighbers cars.....hahaha

  • nice!

  • ...better for your asshole mthrfckr.hahaha

  • the ozone layer thanks you

  • @Bojoe777NaBl what do you drive

  • @mmetzgier your mothers vagina

  • @Bojoe777NaBl stupid asshole

  • pollution unconsious

  • @renatosjr deisel is better for enviorment then gas dumbass

  • It still pisses me off that the manufacturers arent offering small/mid sized truck with diesel engines in the States. I am on a war path to build my own mid size diesel truck, or maybe even mid size suv.

  • I'd love a small pickup that I had to jump into!

  • NICE FUCKING TRUCK!

  • OK LISTEN. you go to miami hamilton ive seen this pos many times. it is a mother fucking ford ranger. this is gay as fuck.ive seen it in magaznes a i laughed my ass off. fyi this truck is pussy by the way

  • @usnavyseals99 ok guys hes in the navy,he must be right those guys know gay...lol,i sense a little jealousy here that someones 82 camaro didnt make it in hot rod, which i have to admit is a bad ass looking car,if it moves.lets see that thing burn some rubber! if given the choice between the two vehicles id take the truck, its way more useful.side note-you heard one nickleback song youve heard them all, drop dead wmg

  • @philtripe im not in the navy. my friends dad is a seal and i look up to him because hes a crazy mother fucker. my camaro has around 450horse and 500ftlbs so it can do a real solid burnout. ill post one on here sooner or later if i through my old tires back on. i didnt try to put my camaro in hot rod but its won in a car show comp. i might have an old video of me at the track with a solid burnout but its when the car was old.

  • @philtripe i made a video out of old pics i still had of the car at the drag strip do n a burnout. its from before we restored the car so it looks a bit differant. it was before we did anything to it except engine and trans swap

  • u know it will get better mpg with the tailgate on dude. But i saw the artice about this in Diesel mag. i just wish i had rich parents..

  • Thank GOD! I'd rather listen to nothing then nickelback!!!

  • @stilettolove88 nickleback is to music as getting kicked in the nuts is to pleasure. haha

  • @stilettolove88

lol well its better than celine dion :P but good one :P

  • nice what engine tranny you have in it im lookin to do this to my 2000 ranger but dont know where to begin

  • ranger

  • U Should have put a stroker in it instead of the cummin!! stroker is better in my opinion

  • @mudfun123369 wrong.

  • @chevy490 not rele now powerstoke ha the most power and torque in 2011 stroker

  • @mudfun123369 some one said stroker?

  • @mudfun123369 thats why ford bought cummins and to answer the question before you ask no they cant use the cummins because dodge/fiat owns the rights to the engine and now ford is stuck until dodges contract runs out with cummins which i think is 2012 or maybe 2013

  • wooohoo!!!! now your ford sounds like a god damn garbage truck just like a dodge. FUCK CUMMINS

  • fuck WMG.

  • now, since there is no sound, i cant say that it sounds pretty sweet... but man, it looks pretty sweet !!!!

  • you're fucking stupid and I hope you die.

  • @MrCheddacheese LOL fucking moron ford fans, I dont get all upset and post a bunch of bullshit around what the fuck is wrong with you people and brand loyalty? My dakota is 15 years old with 240k on the original 4 speed tranny with less than $1000 in repairs and preventative maintenance. I work my truck to death and it keeps on surprising. My father is a ford mechanic and the most reliable vehicle he has ever owned is MY 1995 Dodge Dakota V8 4x4.

  • its a cummins 4bt

  • what the fuck, pop the hood!

  • Comment removed

  • @nhspowerlifter59 Try hauling a gutted 25ft camper trailer with 1, 5 seater dune buggy, 2 sport atv's, a polaris utility atv, and a honda 250R Odyssey, plus welder, tools spare tires, etc, etc all the way from Kansas to Oklahoma and back @ 70mph to the tune of 7MPG. That's around 12,000Ibs or more. If I hadn't installed 2000Ib overloads my Dakota could not have moved it. Get out into Oklahoma and lets see your little ranger handle those hills LOL! Your ranger cannot hitch this trailer!

  • @nhspowerlifter59 got that shit right

  • @nhspowerlifter59 Ford didn't put a DOHC V6 in the ranger. It's a SOHC 4.0L v6

  • @stilettolove88 actually if its a 2000 its OHV

  • @nhspowerlifter59 You dont own a 4.0 dohc if it really is a 2000 the its OHV and if it 01+ its sohc

  • @nhspowerlifter59 ahahaha gett your head out your ass partner! my dakota RT would pull your trailer and your truck lol if it could hook up!

  • @nhspowerlifter59 sure a dakota can

  • @nhspowerlifter59 dnt even try to call your compact pickup a "truck"

  • @nhspowerlifter59 im pretty sure my dakota has pulled that shit but im dirt instead and fuck driving on the highway dirt is better for a truck

  • @nhspowerlifter59 i bet a v8 one could

  • @leafsrule16 I argued gainst him too, but just to tell you, engines arent just the issue, yeah a V8 could, but ya gotta think about the suspension.

  • @rustynichols22 V8, suspensions? vs 4bt?? What the hell are you talking about? 4bt is going to weigh more than most small blocks.

Also, I like the ranger. But you're drinking some crazy kool-aid if you think its worth 26k.

  • @WWoodyW Whaaat???? Ok. V8's can tow alot more than a V6. Suspensions, you gotta have a stiff suspension to tow alot. Thats why large trucks have such rough rides. And hes, 4bt's do weigh more. Theyre a diesel from a bull dozer, what do you expect? Those are the only things that can fit in a little ranger. I love them, dont get me wrong, I own one.

  • @nhspowerlifter59 just to let u know the 4 door dakotas have a magnum v8 in them

  • @nhspowerlifter59 ur fucking lien i wanna see a video of it

  • @nhspowerlifter59

    Dan right.

  • @nhspowerlifter59

    *knuckle bump*

  • @nhspowerlifter59

I call bull shit on this.

  • @nhspowerlifter59

Ya I pull the bullshit flag! you sound like the rest of the people that think little trucks like ford rangers and toyotas can pull big loads. I've bee ranching for years and never seen anyone dumb enough to use those trucks for real work. There is no way a ranger can pull that weight and last.

  • Ya I pull the bullshit flag! you sound like the rest of the people that think little trucks like ford rangers and toyotas can pull big loads. I've bee ranching for years and never seen anyone dumb enough to use those trucks for real work. There is no way a ranger can pull that weight and last.

  • @nhspowerlifter59 Sure, and you can keep your shitty gas mileage and ancient chassis cab design that's been around for the past 10 years. The Ranger is old in design and there much better competition on the road.

  • @nhspowerlifter59 THey never made a 4.0 dohc... and put it in a ranger... its a sohc... just fyi should have your facts straight bro

  • @nhspowerlifter59 and i dont believe that. im a ranger enthusiast, i call BS

  • @nhspowerlifter59 Yea fully loaded with your BS. F-ing fool. Why do you people think the rest of us would believe crap like this?

  • @nhspowerlifter59 Yeah...I drove a 98 4.0. and before you say anything they have the same motor. It would have trouble pulling our Fish and Ski up a steep hill. They are great trucks, very reliable but a stock 318 dakota would yank a 2000 4.0 around. Even the newer 215Hp rangers aren't that powerful. They are what they are. Reliable trucks. But I guess if you get a smile by trying to BS people go ahead. Just don't bash other good trucks in the process.

  • @nhspowerlifter59 Dude. First, DOHC, Bullshit. SOHC. Second, I cant even hook up a 20 foot trailer with even wood on it. The suspension would squat way too much, even on a 2003 Ford Ranger Edge. Thats why I bought a 2005 F-350 with a 6.0! Seriously dont go spreading your shit on youtube, acting like you know stuff that you dont. Go work on imports, seriously. You aint made for American trucks.

  • I say fuck WMG aswel stupid fucking bitches

  • bonita pero contamina mucho el medio ambiente para mi gusto

  • that is pretty sick

  • Thanks, I actually don't want to gear this badass engine.

  • Have you tried uploading the video again to youtube? I want to hear it.

  • @erickuhl215 all you have to do to hear it is to click on the Deisel Ranger 2 and its a video of it driving on a country road

  • A cummins ranger? That thing would be fuckin fast, to bad we cant hear it, prolly sounded bad ass too.

  • ok... now what are you going to do when the ford parts fall appart and all you have left is a 12v cummins with 350grand on the clock?

  • @xz28camaro

It's a four cylinder with 2 valves to a cylinder. That makes at an 8v engine. The only thing that's going to break on a ranger any faster than any other vehicle is the shitty 3.0 V6 engine, which is no longer in this truck and therefore no longer an issue.

  • think i saw this in diesel power mag!

  • @z71boy18

    yes it was

  • What is done to that injection pump that is blowing a ton of smoke for a rotary pump pretty bad ass truck man

  • im dont usaully run my mouth but to the guys runnin thiers bout rangers not havin any suspention ive hauled a gooseneck with to combine headers from nebraska to kansas on my 96 ranger 3.0 6 cyl runnin 350hp but then again i have add a leaf springs and a homemade air suspention

  • From my experience with Rangers, I dont consider them trucks since they overload with the lightest of trailers. They are the shittiest cars I have ever seen!

It's absolutely pathetic, I have seen multiple rangers squat hard from an unloaded 4x5 utility trailer.

Here I am hauling 30+ft. 11,300Ib hay bale trailers in a V8 Dakota. It's not safe but was capable of handling it a few times on very short trips. No other light duty truck can do that.

  • @Spywell ha ha haaaa thats the funniest shit ive heard. i out ran a yellow reg cab short bed dodge 318, with a 3.0 ranger 5 speed completely stock. Also work with a guy that drives a dakota and its safe to say he probably has 30,000 invested in it and it is also stock , thats just how much he has spent keeping the piece of shit on the road.. anyway the only reason dodges are on the road is because of cummins . other wise put them in the scrap yard

  • LoL that's hilarious, a 3.0l 145hp ranger somehow beat a 5.2l 230hp v8 dakota? I know four people who have rangers and all of them absolutely loathe the pos. I dont think there is a single Pro about them they are disgusting. Just four months ago I offered to help tow a 3mo old 09 ranger that already blew the transmission.

I have two 318 dakotas and my friend has one with a v6 and they dont have many problems at all in fact mine is a 95 and has 230k with less than 1k in work, purchased new.

  • @Spywell truthfully i dont even own a ranger anymore nor care to, just thought it was funny you were talking up dokata's .. Have a nice day

  • @Spywell Yeah, but you're an idiot . . .

  • Comment removed

  • @Spywell

and they squatted from a 4x5 trailer? the owners must have beat the shit out of them and ruined the suspension, i used to pull a 14 foot tandem axle flatbed with a 6 foot tall box built on it full of scrap metal DAILY with my 88 ranger and it never gave me a bit of squat.

  • @Heptofite LOL, I idled a honda civic out of the snow this winter. And your acceleration is much slower than my club cab V8 4x4 dakota. Seriously you have like 12-13 sec 0-60, my friends 95 protege 1.5l 95hp 4 banger would give you a run for your money.

  • @Spywell

of course your acceleration is better, i have a 24 year old 3900 pound truck with a 150hp V6 turning 235/75/15s with 3.73 gears, it's great for highway cruising but the acceleration is lacking.

  • @Heptofite I just got back from packing up a 25ft enclosed trailer that will have a sand rail, 3 ATV's, 3 ATC's and a whole bunch of misc stuff. I will be towing that to Oklahoma Thurs for Rattlesnake in my Dakota. Did a test run tonight, she only squatted a few inches but I pulled it just fine.

Yea lol, 150hp, with large tires (for that truck) and 3.73. I'm surprised you have a 3.73, that should help your acceleration. My Dak is a 3.73.

  • @Heptofite Everyone knows the suspension under the rangers were complete garbage. You claim to have an 88 ranger, that means it's a GEN1, and I believe that although the gen1's were ugly they were the only rangers ever made that were capable of doing work. Again I will remind you, my 95 V8 dak, has towed a 32ft 11,300Ib hay bale trailer. There isn't a stock ranger ever made that could handle that.

  • That is a sick ranger! What size engine does it have?

  • i think its a 3.9

  • super awesome!!!

  • Nice Rig, i have a ranger that i wanna put a 4bt in, very nice looking truck

  • What WAS the sound track? WMG is just worthless E-bullies.

  • so how much did you spend on butting the engine, trans, and the neccesaries on it

  • 2jz....1000rwhp and could probably tow most anything any diesel owner tows. fuckin concrete cowboys

  • @robbyontherock hah okay fast an furious..power is not everything. lets see that 2jz control a trailer. do you even know how much some ranch equipment weighs?

  • @robbyontherock ur an idoit ur lil 2jz would break cus the equitment is so heavy diesels have heavy duty parts tht 2jz engine was only built for speed and not towing

  • Dude let's go herd cattle in the mountains, just the two of us you fucking brokeback bitch. Diesel's are sick but fuck 7.3 liters when 2.5 will do just the same. Diesel toque is hella eccentric. Vag

  • kk let me say this once more ur 2jz engine may have the power to tow but its not durable enough to handel tht kind of work plus ur rear axel or cv joints would break like tooth pics so it wont do the same as a big diesel truck i hope this fact gets thru ur thick head and the point is ur car is not fuckin superman here u arrogent prick

  • and lets see ur engine bud u dont have anyvids of ur car here

  • Its under major construction with the triads in Japan. If you value your knees admit Japs build superior engines. Look here partner, Diesel is bomb, im not ignorant i understand the whole HD trucks for HD towing. Actually diesel should be utilized in more applications in the states. Like motorcycles, cars, small trucks. Anything running off gas can generally be better used with diesel fuel instead. Pricey though, ha my dad owns High Altitude Logging in idaho, last summers diesel bill was 90,000

  • Este camioneta contamina el medio ambiente como vota humo indiscriminadamente lastima, el pintado esta pleno,

  • How many MPG with that truck?

  • the paint is all fucked up

  • It's a custom paint job. It looks like the paint is peeling off and you can see stainless steel underneath you just can't see it very well in this video

  • yea i kno, just dont like it. not my thing.. if it were only solid silver or yellow

  • Would look better without those stupid lookin stacks.

  • This was a sweet little build that was worked up in diesel power magazine, it was built by a high school kid and his dad, really clean and impressive build.

  • WoW, now thats one HOTTT STACKED mini TRUCK....

  • i think i'm in love

  • is it a 4x4 i cand c any axles shafts

  • nasty as in good

  • good lookin though

  • bitch is nasty. paint job is a little odd.

  • this is fuckin sweet wht trans did you use

  • all u ass hats givin this kid shit about his ranger are douches...he has spent lots of time on it....look up the article in diesel power...go suck on your grammas knee kickin tits

  • you are probably the stupidest person I've ever seen

  • international diesels....

  • what ever ford sucks ass

  • i didnt disagree, jus corrected..

  • oh well(:

  • This kids, is an example of a retarded fanboy. He doesnt know shit about what he talks about. He just goes around bashing what he can't afford, or doesnt know anything about.

  • i dont know what your bitchin about! even ir=f your a dodge or chevy guy they arnt makin there own motor, dodge is hooked up by cummins and chevy is by durmaxipad... and each one has their flaws...

  • Are you shit stupid son? Cummins (Not Cummings) is an independant company and Powerstroke is owned by International (Navistar)

  • Mazderman2011 are you retarted???? there is no engine call cummings!!! Cummins is there own company they even have there own stock on the market and powerstroke is one word not to...you guys that comment on here have no clue what you are talking about you just make it sound like you do. I am a Ford guy myself loved them all my life but holy shit every truck brand and every engine has its up and downs...i would drive all 3 of them anyday before jap crap though...

  • hahahaha that shit is so gay

  • this guy lives buy me hes bad ass he lives in ohio

  • how long did it take to build

  • What a waste of time, money and resources.

  • Yeah, because sitting on youtube making idiotic comments is a better use of time.

  • Right back at ya, buddy.

  • Hey, fuck you BUDDY!

  • thats so red neck! haha i love it!!

    REDNECK POWER!! haha

  • Does anybody have any idea where i can get a motor like this or where i can get started. plz help. thanx!

  • you can try to contact cummins themselves would be the best place to start
