Phillip Allen had a dog on his place about 4 or 5 years ago named Angus. He was an older dog, and huge. He bred that dog to a 3/4 johnson female and sold the pups. I have found the offspring, a male, and I'm gonna breed him to a female I have. The only other offspring I have seen on the net is a dog shipped overseas.

We are trying to get his weight up and have been feeding him diamond for puppys. We dont give him table scraps. What do u feed your monster? Kane my puppy has some pretty big parents too. my dog is just a bit smaller than this 1...looks just like urs but just because he has a brendal colour to him my parents think he has pit in him does it matter just because of the colouration??
I just recentley got one he is full blooded Johnson American Bulldog and he stands 26" tall and weights 135lbs. We had to put a collar and a harness on him.
He is a great dog with my children but hates other dogs, He wasnt raised around them so anytime he see's one he goes crazy, he does ok with strangers he can be agressive torwards people he hasnt met, but as long as your with him he isnt too bad.
I prefer and breed the Johnson type of American Bulldogs. This dog looks almost exactly like my Brook, but she is only 75 lbs and is white/tan. What is your boy registered with? Brook is UABR, which I tend to prefer. They keep the best pedigrees of any registry. You really have a gorgeous dog. He is very bully. Reminds me so much of my Brook!

Wow, he's a beautiful guy. Mine isn't anywhere near that size. Tank is only about 110. He pulls me like a tow truck though, so I can't imagine walking this guy when he sees a cat. lol

@Stunr99 i have an ab thats 100% percent mutt. at this point there is no such thing as a 100% AB. Johnson crossed with english bulldog, documented fact, and scott was suspected to have crossed with the apbt. old english whites can be found on southern farms mainly, what we have are outcrosses. my dog has apbt blood but is an ab. no way can you call any ab 100%.
@livyp91 so what? no old pure breed is really 100% what they used to be. for example todays bullmastiff is different than Bms of old, infact are weaker because they are pure bred, to be pure breed is to be inbred

great dog, very nice body, I had a roomate who had an american, great dog, but very dog agressive except to my female mutt, he would either play with or beat up my male mutt, depending on his mood, now that I have just one dog, I might make my next one an american, they are such awesome dogs, I have heard of people say thier ab is not dog agressive but most people I run into say theirs is, any way to get a dog not to be agressive?
Thanks for the compliments. Dozer is a gentle giant, not an aggressive bone in his body. Some Ab's are aggressive and some aren't. It depends a lot on the line and how the dogs are socialized as pups.
@nickstud i know this is very late but in regards to getting a non aggressive dog i suggest raising/socializing it from a puppy around other dogs that are friendly and nonaggressive. I have a johnson AB and i raised him around my boxer who was already an adult (3yrs) and is extremely playful and submissive. My AB has learned from the boxer and is now just as friendly, but still has great guarding senses. So, if a puppy is raised around another aggressive dog, most likely it will learn that habit
@nickstud The american bulldog is very dog friendly, if you get them at an early age, they tend to be more aggressive to the same sex.. its in their nature. But if you plan on getting an AB, make sure you introduce them to other dogs, cats, or any other animal (big or small, they have a high prey drive). Hope this is helpful

It drives me nuts how many people think ABs are basically the same as a pitbull.
