Well, if a white person have a white pride tattoo or he says he is proud to be white or something, then everbody says (especially the MEDIA) he is a nazi, racist or something like that, but proud to be brown, black or yellow must be ok.

He is happy of his heritage. Brown pride identifies Mexicans in that they are mestizo. Not a matter of color but a matter of what his heritage is. Dude is proud of his heritage. Nothing wrong with that.

Cain's a great fighter but I don't understand his attitude. He says his father made a great sacrifice to get to the US for the opportunities - and according to wiki Cain was born and raised and educated in the US - but then says "I'm proud to be Mexican". ?
He feels no gratitude or pride in the country he was born and bred and made his money in? Guess he feels his father made a mistake in emigrating? Racial pride provokes racial pride in others, and if taken seriously is a path to madness.

@jontwest You don't understand Cain's attitude because you cannot relate to the persecution Mexican people receive and historically have received in the US. Being labeled "brown" started out as a pejorative, but he's flipped it into something positive "Brown Pride" which is a natural and constructive response to persecution from the subjugated community.

Suppose someone was born in Mexico, raised in Mexico, educated in Mexico, made money in Mexico, & lived in Mexico started waving the Canadian flag around, saying "I'm Canadian, and I'm proud to be Canadian" because his parents came from Canada to live a better life in Mexico.
What would Mexicans (or the rest of us) think?! In Cain's defense, I don't think he means to be insulting, & a tattoo is hard to get removed.
