you do not understand blacks want equality they are less able to take a test because they have less Education in poor areas most blacks come from poor areas NOT THAT HEARD to understand. white families 800 year start on Education. in black families 70 year start in Education. the schools in these areas not that good are you dumb?

The black firefighters raise a valid point that other criteria, beside the written exam, should carry more weight than it did (60% of the score was based on the written portion). But I don't think it was fair to those who were promised promotion to throw the test out after the fact. The right thing to do would be to re-evatuate the criteria and make changes for the next time it's administered.

Look, I have nothing in particular against any race including blacks but if whites wanted to form a nation away from all other races I might consider joining because of many reasons. One of which is that any place that has a lesser quality group of people that move into an otherwise nicer area where people are doing well they bring it down slowly & surely.

This is just further proof that Blacks don't face the discrimination Al and Jesse are always bitching about. This isn't just an American problem either. In Halifax, Nova Scotia they hired only Black firefighters and the Blacks still screamed racism.

Too bad the non- black Canadiens don't have the courage to sue for being discriminated against like the New Haven firefighters do.

This is insane, the jobs were based on performance and hard work.The firefighters had the same amount of time to study for the unbiased test
