  • If you knew anything about demolition work you would know that all asbestos abatement work takes place for months prior to the actual demo work. The abatement is the most time consuming portion of a demolition and nothing can proceed until all asbestos, lead based paint, etc have been removed.

  • On 2007-03-30, CBC reported "Calgary's Penny Lane Closing Saturday" saying tenants were asked to vacate premises the following day, 2007-03-31. By the middle of May, the demolition was well under way. Is approximately 45 days enough time to do "the most time consuming portion of a demolition" you mention? Search Flickr by keywords "penny lane demolition" and you'll get a pretty good record timeline of how the work proceeded.

  • Yes, it is enough time.

  • That's good to know.
