  • What kind of fish are those?

  • what kind of filter \pump is that in the back with the bubbles?

  • oooowwww so cute i have 2 in a 100 litre tank they are both natural colour but i am geting an albino

  • Do they destroy live plants

  • lol they're little superheros xD flying around lol

  • beautiful tank bravo bravo 5star!!

  • Oh and my does the same thing at 2:44 Rubs it's legs together. I was wondering about that :)

  • I had a few ACF that kept spawning over and over. They'd spawn, then eat up all the eggs and babies, then spawn again, over and over. I didnt have to buy food for months lol. But eventually I thought it would stress mama, and I separated them.

  • not all frogs can breath underwater can they?

  • Most frogs have skin that is highly permeable, and allows for a limited amount of gas exchange under water. So, yes, they can "breath" underwater. But, they do need to surface regularly for air. African clawed frogs are almost exclusively aquatic and do not need to ever leave the water.

  • @ltbr69 these cam

  • I have 2 baby ACF's about 2cm - I just transfered a goldfish the thier tank as it was being bullied in my fish tank. How long do I have till they try and eat my goldfish? he's only a baby too about 5 cm with a fin or 2 missing....

  • I've had feeder fish that have evaded my frogs long enough to get too big to be eaten. So, your fish may outgrow your frogs before they're big enough to pose a threat. But, if your frogs grow quickly enough, your fish may only have a few months to live.

  • how do u tell the diffrence between the gender of the frog?

  • LOL i spotted the female straight away but i had trouble finding the male.Soon as the grey 1 moved i spotted him squashed underneath her.

  • you're tank is really nice

I was wondering if your tank is heated?

  • Thank you. :) No, my tank is not heated. The temperature changes slightly with the seasons depending upon how warm or cold I let the house get. Usually it's between about 22 and 24C, but I have seen it anywhere from 20 to about 26C. The frogs don't seem to mind at all.

  • wow i didn't notice the frogs until they moved!

  • are the fish feeders or do they eat something different?? im thinking about gettin a frog

  • nice frogs

  • sweet

  • What brand of filter is it? Company? It's a nice filter.

  • Perfect-a-flo by Perfecto. Petsmart carries them.

  • How big do they get?? ALso why the goldfish?? You know those frogs poo and pee a LOT and so do goldfish (poo a LOT). How do you deal with all of that ammonia and nitrogen??? Do these frogs make noise at night???

  • The fish started out as feeders, and that may still be their fate. They've evaded the frogs for a month or so. If they manage to grow large enough that they can't be eaten, then they'll be pets. The frogs are both full grown. Yes, the male sometimes calls at night, but it's not very loud. The UGF and plants do a wonderful job of keeping the water clean for the animals. There is hardly any maintenance involved aside from feeding.

  • I never feed my frogs fish because oftentimes goldfish are highly parasitized and carry diseases which will pass on to the frogs.

  • UGF? Great looking tank! Have you had any success trying to breed them? I have an albino male and brown female that are both about 2 years old.

  • Thanks for the compliment. :)

    UGF = Under Gravel Filter

I haven't tried breeding them at all. I figure if it happens, great! If not, well, that's alright too.

  • continued comment:

Up until recently I'd been feeding them feeder fish, the large brown female was eating them without problem. Once the albiono got a hold of one, though it started twitching and having uncontrollable muscle spasms. I read somewhere online that this has to do with something that breaks down a protein in the frog which temporarily messes up their nervous and digestive system.

  • continued comment:

It cleared up within a day, and happened again when it ate one of my sharks...kept feeding him worms and pellets and he pulled through again after about 24 hrs.

  • they aren't supposed to eat other fish. there is an enzyme that they cannot digest that will attack their nervous system.
