I had one of those but it got broke but i've managed to save the circuitry that creates the sound effects and attached it to a fm transmitter. I had a lot of fun hearing the same sound effects on my neighbors fm receiver lol

I had this too. Got it around 1980, it was a Christmas present. Was a favorite of mine, probably not my parents. By the time mine died around 1990 or so, only the light worked, it just clicked when you pulled the trigger. I don't remember the steady tones at all, FWIW...

You should stop playing with that. Laser guns from the 1980's were notorious for causing low sperm count, baldness, bad breath, acne and anal leakage. It wasn't until 1992 when we cured the problems of 80's laser guns with the laser guns of the 90's.

I have the guts from a security alarm system the siren part, and it has no ICs but a bunch of transistors resistors and capacitors and it makes a hella loud warbling sound when you put a 9 volt battery to the red and black. maybe i'll do a video of that.

Mine is simply called a "Galaxy Gun" and there's nowhere that shows a brand on either the box of the gun. The dial for the effects on mine is a little different than this one. The price tag is still on the box - "K Mart $6.98." It'd be late 70's vintage I think.
