  • The guitars are jamming!

  • Classic BB&Q! Great album with some high powered musicians including Luther's drummer, the late Yogi Horton

  • She's got the moves i like...

  • SUPER FUNK HYPER CLASSE ET RARE COMME ON LES AIMES

  • (((d(--__--)b))) awesome stuff

  • Folks!!!! Oh! Wow!!! This is BB and Q. This song bring back some great memories way back in the 80s, This get me in the mode of this bad Fan-Fair's at Accra-Girls. AGISS for short. Wow!!!

  • WONDERFULL MUSIC ! I LOVE THAT SONG . ICE NALL-BASSMAN FROM BRASIL !

  • このバンドもNewYork の香りがプンプンするサウンドでイイですねェ~☆

    夜の首都高ドライブにオススメ!!

    Excerent!!

  • I'm not so sure about that sosman0? Change had Luther and there bass had a little more bite in it.. BB & Q in my opinion leaned a more on the Disco side where as I think Change was heavy into Funk!!!

  • THIS IS A JAMM FROM BACK IN THE DAY ........

  • Some really good stuff

  • People if you want to know all about CHANGE and BB&Q , Mauro Malavasi, Jacques Fred Petrus, Davide Romani, Paolo Gianolio, and all the musicians connected with them check out this website jacquesfredpetrus

  • @13ewf Site is jacquespetrus

  • All of them copied off of Chic's style. Chic made a huge impact on all of these groups.

  • If you like Jazz Funk , Funk, Soul, Dance . then check out Facebook , Magaluf 80s , Page , great music

  • a beauty ,music u can dance to,37 nw ,was 12 when i started hearing this sort of music great stuff

  • Of course it sounds like Change-there were several groups using the same Italian/NYC connection including Change, BBQ and High Fashion to name a few. The height of quality production/writing that hasn't been matched since, period.

  • @hardcorehouse Well said hardcore!

  • actually, the sound is definitely a bit like Change, but there's a cleanness in the mix, as with Kleeer. never did bump into much BBQ when crate digging for some reason tho.

  • she's got the moves i like ;)

  • Wow.....Thank you!.

  • Funk Fans Check out FaceBook Group "Style & Class - Soul-Funk, Boogie & Disco"

  • when i hear this song and children of the night.i truely believe that people are good although that there is so much evil today, songs like this and children of the night are truely heaven sent,

its great to her muzala comment from all the way

bbandq are one of the greats and had white members ,extra- ordinary , they were better than change by far ,because most of their tracks were good compared to change which were on and off. look forward to hearing other peoples opinion on this.sosman0

  • that's exactly the way i feel, except for the Change thing, i don't want to compare those two

  • I agree with you 100% man. This cut here was one of my favorites from BB&Q.

  • All Night Long is my real name!!!!!

  • This is great song from BBQ Band. I love this song. A fantastic Funk/Rock tune, this should of been a crossover hit in 1982, had the record label for BBQ Band marketed them properly. Change were really good too. Jaques Petrus had really good production values, he was the guy behind these R&B groups.

  • yes they were from NYC. They were produced by Italian musicians, Mauro Malavasi; David Romani and Executive Producer Jaques Fred Petrus, who created other soul disco acts such as CHANGE, HIGH FASHION. These guys definetly picked up the disco mirror ball where CHIC dropped it. A Very accomplished european exchange dance group.

  • This sound is great; and I loved it back in the day. The sound was similar to Change with Luther Vandross, and the SOS Band. Is the SOS Band out of NYC?

  • I think SOS Band is from Atlanta.

  • veewee, I am in awe of your electic musical taste and variety. You are why I love youtube. Keep up the good work. I am truly impressed. How old are you, you must come from a good music pedigree when you were growing up.

  • another good post...this one you had to know your sh&^!@...t

This album was a good one that slipped under the radar.

  • Well brer trufena u can say that again,in other part of Africa imagine Zimbabwe in all places before the careless rot by ruzhinji, this massive jam had us funkified!!!thx for posting!

  • ...MUZALA,

I had 'connections' that schooled in Zim., and they would bring home recordings off the then Radio 3 (VOZ)...and MY GOODNESS, the music in Harare was obviously TIGHT, and clearly evidenced the benefits of your close proximity to SA that must have imported MUCH music STRAIGHT from the source...

Rest assured, I KNOW music in Harare was HOT back in the day. It's a shame Mugabe has turned out to be more of a curse than a blessing on that great country...

    Peace bro!

  • Tuuuuunnnnne!!!!!!!

  • thanks a lot.. now how do I get it sent to me? lol

  • Classic Brooklyn, Bronx, and Queens sound!!!!

    RIP Brother Curtis.

  • Thanks for this, veewee!

As elsewhere, this packed dance floors in Nairobi back in the day (82/3)...

I remember young urban teens showcasing their slickest moves in dance competitions, and boy, could they dance!
