@jwbjnwolf Not even an expert can swap out the processor or graphics card in a mac (other than Mac Pro), as they are soldered onto the motherboard to save the space required by the removal mechanism. Sure, you can upgrade your RAM and HDD, but that's rarely with a bottleneck.

@KyuubiNaruto1337XD did you not get the p4 part as in pentium 4 single core 32 bit instruction cpu. besides who doesn't have 2 gigs of ram now anyway. the few that don't are likely not going to be the ones to buy a new o/s either. just because it calls for 2 gigs doesn't mean it will use the whole 2 gigs. not only that, why would you want x64 on a machine with 2 gigs. the only reason i use x64 is my desktop has 6 gigs and my wife's laptop came with it.

Okay, I have a mac and a pc. I really love the mac, but the PC IS SO MUCH better. I do much video editing, gaming and I use all sort of different type of files which MAC DOES NOT SUPPORT, so I'm very limited with the mac. So I can barely do anything entertaining on the MAC. The main reason why I like the MAC is because it's harder to get viruses, it's more simple (but due to being very simple it loses further capability) and comes with lots of nifty other stuff.
PC MANAFACTUER LIST: MAC,Toshiba,Packard Bell,Dell,Asus,HP,Sony,Acer,Compaq,Custom etc.
MAC decided to install their pc with MAC OS and some nice hardware but then price it for too much for what you get.
While all the other manafactuers decided to use windows.
Then the real smart people decided to buy each hardware component for it's cheapest price, build the pc then install win 7 and use it as a gaming pc :P
The guy turned round and said: "A mac is a pc i just thought id buy the one with the best hardware for the best price! I got this i7 pc for much less then one of them rip off mac's and i bet it's faster as well!"

Mac started the war by bashing PC's directly. And most of the stuff they say is only partially true. The commercials are pretty funny, but other then that they don't give a good enough, or Valid reason to buy a Mac. lol
Besides that, why would you buy something that can do LESS then PC for more? That might not be -completely- true, but a PC can do exceptionally well at almost every task. For less then a Mac, as a Mac can only do great at Some tasks, and poor at others.

You're right, I have never owned a Mac, but don't look down on me just because of that fact. I've done my research, and done more then enough looking to know a few ins, and outs of a Mac. The Mac is great for video, and audio editing, but I hear the editors can crash often. (Don't know how true that is.) But for gaming? I hear OSX is unstable with Windows, and that means they would be Poor gaming systems simply because you cannot upgrade them to required gaming specs.

No, but it was bound to happen, and I don't just "Bash" Macs. I try to put only true facts out for debate. Mac started the war, saying they were better then PC, and that PC's suck. A PC does everything I need, and it's worked great for me. Why would I go out and buy something more expensive that I don't -Need-? I hate Macs. Systems 1 through 9 sucked and it's only when they ripped off FreeBSD for OSX did it become less sucky, but why would anyone pay for something which is free? actually the main reason why macs dont have viruses is much different. No body makes viruses for macs. If some one is going to make viruses, they will make it so it can do the most damage. This means that whatever is most common will be the target. The fact that there are few viruses for macs proves 1 thing, viruses can be made to infect macs as well. Same with linux.

Also, 32 bits are old and can only support 4 gigs of ram because 2^32 is equivalent to 4 billion bytes, AKA 4 gigs.

MAC decided to install their pc with MAC OS and some nice hardware but then price it for too much for what you get.
While all the other manafactuers decided to use windows.
Then the real smart people decided to buy each hardware component for it's cheapest price, build the pc then install win 7 and use it as a gaming pc :P

Mac started the war by bashing PC's directly. And most of the stuff they say is only partially true. The commercials are pretty funny, but other then that they don't give a good enough, or Valid reason to buy a Mac. lol
Besides that, why would you buy something that can do LESS then PC for more? That might not be -completely- true, but a PC can do exceptionally well at almost every task. For less then a Mac, as a Mac can only do great at Some tasks, and poor at others.

I've never had a problem with any of them in-fact they just get better and better and as more people use them....buy them and they become more common things can only get better... You're right, I have never owned a Mac, but don't look down on me just because of that fact. I've done my research, and done more then enough looking to know a few ins, and outs of a Mac. The Mac is great for video, and audio editing, but I hear the editors can crash often. (Don't know how true that is.) But for gaming? I hear OSX is unstable with Windows, and that means they would be Poor gaming systems simply because you cannot upgrade them to required gaming specs.

A PC does everything I need, and it's worked great for me. Why would I go out and buy something more expensive that I don't -Need-? I will not be switching, because a Mac does not fit my needs, and wants. They're nifty, but they're not for me, and for that reason, they aren't worth the money I don't have in the first place.

ACTUALLY that game runs ONLY on curtain platform is a LIMITATION of a GAME, not of OS. It is BAD. And MICROSOFT is KNOWN to lobby publishers and gamedevs to publish games ONLY with DIRECTX which is WINDOWS-ONLY. The SAME stuff they do in hardware stores. So WINDOWS and its GAMES suck, this is the fact. FYI I dont use neither windows nor mac. 4real.

I hate Macs. Systems 1 through 9 sucked and it's only when they ripped off FreeBSD for OSX did it become less sucky, but why would anyone pay for something which is free? Alienware and Dell are good but nothing beats a custom-built system. I have a 2.8GHz duo processor, Radeon HD 5770, 1TB total storage, and Windows 7 Home Premium. It runs great and only cost about $800 total. That's about as much as an entry-level mac.

you could build a quad-core PC (since Macs are PC, because it fucking stands for Personal Computer) by buying barebone kits, which are discounted if you buy it in bundles. You could buy a quad-core, 8GB DDR3, Intel i7 Core with a high-end motherboard and a 1TB harddrive for at least $700, excluding the monitor. Monitors, high-quality and resolution ones, are cheap nowadays. a 32" monitor/HDTV costs at least $150-300.

actually the main reason why macs dont have viruses is much different. No body makes viruses for macs. If some one is going to make viruses, they will make it so it can do the most damage. This means that whatever is most common will be the target. The fact that there are few viruses for macs proves 1 thing, viruses can be made to infect macs as well. Same with linux.
