  • DAMITA JO FREEMAN !!!!!!!

  • look how much FUN they had back then

  • rosie perez at 0:25

  • @MrDaren6969 lol i guess she was black back then

  • I don't know why some have such a problem with putting 70s Soul Train with later versions. The evolution of the dancing and fashion is interesting to watch. At least for me,it is.

  • this video is literally a dream come true.

  • ....I love soul train! =)

  • 1:25 REAL OR FAKE MICHAEL JACKSON?

  • 1:05 dude got punched in the face! haha

  • Monkeys at the zoo

  • You only find Soultrain videos if u type that in the searchbar,

you really lookin for videos to discriminate on?

We Blacks got swagger, something u cant understand

    bring back Soultrain !!!!!

  • why do dark people do these dances better than white)? THERE SO FANTASTIC

  • NEver mix the 70s soul train with the later+ 90s soul train...That whole break dancing shit in this video is pathetic and to be side by side in this magnificent montage of 70s soul train is absurd.

  • 1:02 OUCHH!!

  • a video like this can never not have people arguing about race

  • Now that's some major league teeny-boppin'!!!!!

  • 0:28-0:30 is some of the best dancing you'll ever see. lol

  • Ah, the 70's, where girls looked like guys, and guys looked like girls, and the was no such thing as a super sized meal, so everyone was skinny.

  • @schellwardee Yes, and that's a rare shot of Obama in the brown shirt at 0:28. Make way for the future prez... ;)

  • 1:25 mike Jackson or fake

  • good times in thhe 70's

  • Dude at 0.28 has it down!!!!

  • Absolutely captivating.

  • the best years of my life,en guatemala

  • Anyone noticed that guy that got punched in the face 1:06?

  • @westonatl I'm sitting at work dying laughing!! Lord this is so funny!

  • WooooooooooooooooooooooW

  • 7 people dont have any soul

  • SOUL TRAIN

  • wtf is with this modern shit...

  • What happened to the other videos????

  • @HoneySwtDrms What other videos are you referring to?

  • @globalimageworks the one that arent this one

  • ppl had some real long legs back then in the 70's man

  • @Biggiedafirst I ain't got no moves, but my legs are still as long as long as they where in the 70s.

  • i love crunchy music

  • Call me a Beyotch but American Bandstand Dancers couldn't hold a Candle to these people. In fact, I could see Blake McGrath Choreographer/Popstar born in Canada going on this show.

  • Love the guy about midway with the long hair/hat/grey shirt/grey pants and converse...he is mezmerizing...would like to see more of him whoever he is :)

  • Ah oui c'est sur , les années 70 étaient les meilleurs , nos papas et mamans dansaient vraiment pour s'amuser alors que dans les années 90 c'est une battle les danseurs font du spectacle plus que de s'amuser

  • Did anyone notice that the guy in the gray suit on the right almost got hit in the face at 1:05 by the guy in the white suit? That was a close call. He moved just in time.

  • This looks like it shows the '70s, '80s and '90s. You can see the baggy hip-hop style of the '90s with their over-sized clothes. Still had some good dance moves too, but when it comes to ST, the 1970s was the best.

  • I like the 70's old school dancers. They were off the hook!

  • @rjplamf61

yeh they got it in most def!!

  • This video shows the transformation from the 70s to the 80s, guys were wearing boots and dressed kinda feminine and women were damn sexy, then in the 80s men and women started to get plus size and the men only dressed ghetto like.

  • I wish the good times could roll again! That was totally what I call embracing your youth, just having a "Funky Good Time!"

  • i still like ms.q she's still one of my Favorites dancers she's still so sexy!!!!!!!

  • I love the mess out of this stuff! I was a girl and I can still move like them! Those were some good times when children and teens were not mad and bad like they are now! Just good clean happy fun on the one and only SOUL TRAIN, with Brother, MR. Fine as Wine, DON CORNELIUS and he is still the Genius in Hosting with Mostest, because it is with LOVE PEACE AND SOUL. Every Saturday morning he said that. It was good to see those girls and guys again. Thank you YouTube

  • AWESOMENESS

  • LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOVE THIS 4 REALLL I WANT THE 70'S BCK

  • Soul trains groovyness, coolness, awesomeness, whatever you call it is legendary and untouchable ! It lets every other cultural get-together look like a fucking kinder garden party.

  • 1:29:51:02 rosie perez

  • Nice! Too bad they cancelled this show - it had great dancers (some of them are so fluid-like, you'd swear they have no skeletons!) , singers, and the women were HOT!

  • XD love it!

  • EXCELLENT MAN i wish i could dance that way

  • i wonder how peole cannot like this thats were the bboys were right there now we at jams cyhpers huge events.its all about peace love and unity and none of that racist bull shit.half you people wanna be talkin..its people like you that mess up this world

  • the best.

    period.

    jctoronto

  • Man that Cat at1:04 shit he had the Funk in him but i bet his ass hurt after that hard land on the floor

  • I want to pin down the girl at 0:40 and motorboat her bellybutton and all her other areas with no remorse.

  • Rosie Perez at 0:25

  • Ahhh, Soul Train was the stuff, funky music, crazy dancing, and cool clothes. Such good memories from when I was a little kid, just fun for everybody!!! Now, most of the music today make grown folks blush. I feel sorry for kids today.

  • Gettin' loose on tha fuckin TRAIN baby!!

  • why do people get all affirmative Action like towards white people in dancing and singing. Whites never give Black Asses any Credit for Adaptation in the midst of a War against them for 500 years. But a white girl can Dance we go YAH OO. OR A WHITE persons can sing with a little soul we go yippie. WELL PARROTS CAN PARROT SINGING AND DANCING TOO. AND THEY DONT NEED TO PRACTICE FOR 140 YEARS, OR 50 years after zombie dancing to Black Music. BLACKS NEED TO DEMAND THEY ARE GIVEN CREDIT THEMSELVES.

  • dude got punched in the fro at 1:41

  • floatworkscrew the name of the song is Dancing Machine, by the Jackson 5

Micheal's Robot dance came out of this song! Take me back! Miss those days!

  • the guy at :41 DAMN!!!

  • whats the song??????????

  • watch at 1:06 there is a dude ducking like he just got his afro touched

  • @JapaneseChirashi dude the hair was very important. those with straight hair had the big hairbrush in the back pocket and the ones with the fro's had the afro pick stock in the back of the fro. if you had a lot of chemicals in your hair a poke in the fro like the one you just saw on 1:06 would leave a dent in the hair. wich meant you had to go home fix it and go back out..

  • I remember lunchtime at my job on Sat, Soul Train would be on & the younger ppl would be asking me: "What Yall Call Yall Self Doin' Back Then?"

I would reply, "Dancing - Shhhh*t ! what it look like!!?" we were enjoying ourselves, even the men was gettin' down more than the women, having a FUNKY GOOD TIME

  • @mssquirrely Please adopt me.

  • @XxMissNoNamexX LOL!!

  • Damn, air flares and head spinning? I love the b boy culture....but that is corny.

  • love so much is time

  • The 70's was the sh*t!!!....the world sure has changed *sighs*

  • @RLC8093

yep everybody REALLY danced on early soul train shows

  • 1:04 ooooh weee I know his butt hurt! lol!

Soul Train needs to COME BACK!

  • I watched Soul Train while talking to my friend Erin on the phone as she was watching it. It was our ritual every weekend.

  • lol...1:04, that must have hurt!

  • Brilliant i try it the same ;)

  • @cruisinokc405 - OMG you're so right!!

  • the earlier soultrain was better

  • @smukase ... Right On!

  • @Tiny1bme i love breakdancing, hip hop and other modern dancing styles but it s all not soul train worthy. i think soultrain should be something on its own and it's definately legendary. when u think soultrain u only think about "that" soultrain anyways.

  • @Tiny1bme SOULTRAIN WAS MADE FOR THE 60S EARLY AND MID70S NOT THE 80S AND 90S THIS ONE SUCKS, BUT STILL LOVE IT , BECAUSE IT MY SOULFUL SISTERS AND BROS GETIN IT IN DURING THEIR TIME, I DID THE EARLY 70S WHAT

  • @smukase YES I WAS ABOUT TO POST THE SAME COMMENT 80S

AND UP SUCKS LATE 60 EARLY AND MID 70S STOLE THE SHOW

    SOOOOOOOOL TRAAAAAAAAAAIN

  • OL Time was better they look more relax an jus enjoying and dancing for he music , Seems like more of a competition now days

  • Lady Cordella, I can also sing in the shower!!

  • realhwaz, I second that, wish i could !!!!!!!!! I wanna be a pip!

  • Some white people CAN dance! LOL

  • @LadyCordella ...I'm not white, but I can vouch for that...Some white girls will put a brotha to shame if he's not on his game...Today not many people can dance tho.

  • omg 1:04 xD

  • This brings back so many memories! We'd dance in the cafeteria at lunch time with a boom box!

  • For those who grew up in Grant Projects on 125th St, & Amsterdam Ave in New York city, we wishing we were on Soul Train doing "our thang" I loved the clothes I went to store on 125 & Lenox and came back in a combo getup like "SUPERFLY & THE MACK" My Momma made me take it back (but she let me keep "THE MACK's HAT") You will never hear good music like this, this music is love, feelings coming from the heart, Music from this era was all true, Ain't no half stepping here.SIMPLY OUTSTANDING RIGHT ON!

  • OH MY GOD ! i didn't have this in Brasil :( hey i tell you what i'm an white guy likes black music, dancing, but black way of talking don''t. Like sports and reading, love black female bodies but don't like bossy girls. tell me what's the solution for me??? lol

    seious case lol

  • 日本のソウルトレイ!ファンキーフルーツを見るべし!

  • They could dance their @sses off.

  • If you get a chance to see the documentary on VH1, please see it. I had no idea how bad Dick Clark wanted Don out of the game. Some of you might remember Soul Unlimited, which was a copy of Soul Train. Don Cornelius got the show taken off TV. Don C. was a bad boy.

  • black or white American or not...this show was off the hook!!!!!! We lack that creativity today!!

  • I remember this as a kid! This was awesome!

  • So there's not "ONE" White dancer worthy to be shown on here?? Hmmm....Gotta dig reverse racism.

  • dude...SHUT UP. If there was something worthy, they would have put it in here. way to play the race card being oversensitive. the vid is less than 2 minutes long

  • "If there was something worthy, they would have put it in here." Alright, that opinion is rooted in....? Facts? Evidence??

  • no offense, but you really over-reacted. There was still a lot of structural segregation in the entertainment industry back in the seventies. This was a black show made by black people. And guess what? It was fucking awesome. Let's face it, there were some great white American and Mexican and Chinese American dancers as well. The fact that all these dancers are black in this says more about white people's expectations than it does about black dominated media, which is a preposterous notion.

  • @AltruisticUtopia it was a black dominated show for a long time. get over it. the vid is short as hell. for a real compilation that would have been longer, I'm sure you would have seen diversity. have you never watched soul train on tv before?

  • @AltruisticUtopia Stop playing the RACE CARD! GOSH! It gets so old!

  • @crusinokc405 I know thats right baby! Tha's all we lived for is to be on soul train or to go to party's

  • This ish is hot!!!!

  • Crazy to see how the fashion and dances changed over the years.

  • Yeh, from dance to some sort of aerobics.

  • @scChocl8 yeah... now people can't dance shit, the music is wack and we didnt have finesse dressing up!! back in the days, everything was funky and supercool! ;)

  • @scChocl8 yeah... now people can't dance shit, the music is wack and we didnt have finesse dressing up!! back in the days, everything was funky and supercool! ;) Im talking about 70s Soul Train huh??

  • ahahahaha a 1:07 per poco non ci scappava una scazzottata :DDD

    bellissimo video !!!

  • i was @ a club party for a 24 year co-worker and i raced to the door because i saw a crow of men gathering on the dance floor. my co-worker was like where r u going? i'm like they're fighting on the dance floor! she started laughing uncontrollably and drug me to the dance floor to view a crowd of guys standing around the females while they danced. Wow, times have changed.

  • ....where's all the long white t-shirts and pants down over the ass(with a belt on!) Oh I forgot...today all the dudes would be sittin on the sidelines tryin to look cool and the girls would be dancing by themselves (until the gun went off and everybody ran out!) Sorry...its just that we used to have fun when we went out .SAD.

  • @dirtyedna...... Tell me about. I tell my lil cousins all the time that ya'll generation doesnt know how to dance. I grew up in the 80's &90's and brothers used to kill the dance floor. If you watch clips of the S.T.L. from either decade you can the brothers line killin it on there own.

  • at 1:02 he killed it

  • LOOOL!! Damn, that HAD to hurt!!

  • I could watch it during hours

    great best of!

  • hahaha 1:07

  • Us white people can only look on in amazement. We can't dance that's for sure.

  • @ realhwaz, the female rapper trina has a whitegirl in 1 of her vids, and this girl is bad!!! and i mean that in a good way, she can really dance.

  • If you are around the music and dancing long enough, you will catch on. I have seen some really good dancers who were white, and some bad dancers who were African American, but with anyone, you got to be around the music and dancing so it can soak up in you.

  • @realhwaz perhaps white americans, because us europeans got soul

  • @realhwaz i have to respectfully disagree with you. more than once i got showed out on the dance floor by white people. some of yall can sho-nuff get down!

  • @realhwaz don't speak for other people

  • @realhwaz american peoples canoot be that slim too

  • you's a weak induvidual, a fool

  • @realhwaz Think again! Check out 'Junior Walker and The Allstars' -Shotgun, Hullabaloo 1966, here on Youtube, you will be amazed, let me know what you think. (I am Black by the way).

  • @realhwaz I know some white people who can get down!!!

  • @realhwaz Surpsingly I can lmao I'm from Baltimore XD

  • @realhwaz I beg to differ some of us can dance........... although I have come across some monstrosities lol

  • @realhwaz have you seen the Northern Soul dancing in UK.It shows white people can move and groove. The best clips are from 7ts when every body was YOUNG. KEEP THE FAITH, RIGHT ON BROTHER ps they are still doing it know but just a little bit SLOWER LOL

  • @79humbug. absolutely. I wish i could find footage of the male northern soul boys. SOO GOOD!

  • @realhwaz Hey John Travolta can dance !!!!

  • @childofprosperity. um... not really, not enough for 4 exclamation points. lol

  • @DelilaBlack LOL, yo! I got to give you 5 exclamation points for that one!!!!! lol

  • @realhwaz Hey Man, You are right. I only WISH I could pull off those moves without looking like an Idiot. Man, SOUL TRAIN was the Baddest dance show EVER. It Is History. Yeah man.

  • @realhwaz THATS NOT TRUE WE JUST HAVE IT NATURALLY EVERYBODY CAN DANCE JUST IN A DIFFERENT WAY. WERE U GO WRONG AT U GUYS DONT LISTEN AND FOLLOW THE BEAT U JUST DANCE CAUSE U HEAR MUSIC LOL
