I find blinded fans really annoying, and saying she is the 'best singer ever' is quite false. She does have a beautiful voice and I am a huge Evanescence fan, but I think she needs to learn how to control her voice better when she is singing live. If you can't hear that she has indeed messed up these notes than you clearly cannot tell when someone is out of tune.

I have done my share of criticizing Amy Lee when it comes to her vocal performances, because as a singer I feel if I can't always hit that high note, I shouldn't incorporate it into my songs. i just came back from there concert at the hard rock casino in hollywood fl and the whole show was a vocal disaster amy lee cant deliver in a live show what she "delivers" in the studio, it was so horrible i felt like asking for my money back, i just can not believe its the same singer, her vocal range may be eb3-ez but her ability to stay in kay/tone is 0. AmY lee if you ever read this, you are a nice girl but YOU ARE NOT A SINGER.
lol! So what she screwup? Atleast we all know she doesn't lip sync. And since they have all these high notes in their songs I think it's hard to hit them for after a few songs. It's easier to do that in the studio because there you can take a pause whenever you feel like it. If you look at their performance at Rock am Ring in 2007, Amy was sick that day but choosed to sing anyway. And she cried in the end of Lithium. Poor Amy! <3
Thank you for posting this video. It shows the true amy lee. Its easy to record and have computers and auto tune make you a star. I guess everyone is upset that they are in love with a singer that cant sing and they cant find a way to admit it. There is no reason why a b rated singer should have a label spend so much on a person who believes being drunk and in a band is cool.
I think people being critical of this video has a little more to do with the fact that it's a very weak attempt to portray Amy as untalented, when it compiles barely over two minutes of what are, in all likelihood, isolated incidents of her missing notes, singing off-key, etc.
I dont think people realize how hard it is too sing such high notes for more than a few songs.... its very straining on your vocals cords and im sure her voice messes up alot because of it. As a vocalist myself, and singing in the same range as Amy Lee i know this, its not easy.

Heard her sing live myself 2 times. She is amazing live when she is in smaller crowds or not on national television (live, which most of those clips are from.) She has admitted she gets very nervous live too and that's why she messes up. She also cannot hear herself sometimes because of how loud everything is, and she is moving around which messes up her posture to produce a proper high note. She never claimed to be perfect you @ss.

So, Amy isn't perfect live. There are very few singers who are. Tarja Turunen, for example, never misses a note and some supernatural talent there. Amy has a DAMN AMAZING voice. Just sometimes, on the Ev albums, she's trying to push herself. And that's great, but you have to understand it's gonna be harder live. Amy says "No ones's perfect, I'm perfectly flawed." They were all-male bands at that festival, Amy was the only woman on that stage that day. Amy is absolutely aware that there are other female-fronted bands, she's discussed them before in interviews - Within Temptation, Nightwish, etc.

i just came back from there concert at the hard rock casino in hollywood fl and the whole show was a vocal disaster amy lee cant deliver in a live show what she "delivers" in the studio, it was so horrible i felt like asking for my money back, i just can not believe its the same singer, her vocal range may be eb3-ez but her ability to stay in kay/tone is 0. lol! So what she screwup? Atleast we all know she doesn't lip sync. And since they have all these high notes in their songs I think it's hard to hit them for after a few songs. It's easier to do that in the studio because there you can take a pause whenever you feel like it. If you look at their performance at Rock am Ring in 2007, Amy was sick that day but choosed to sing anyway. And she cried in the end of Lithium. Poor Amy! <3

Thank you for posting this video. It shows the true amy lee. Its easy to record and have computers and auto tune make you a star. I guess everyone is upset that they are in love with a singer that cant sing and they cant find a way to admit it. I think people being critical of this video has a little more to do with the fact that it's a very weak attempt to portray Amy as untalented, when it compiles barely over two minutes of what are, in all likelihood, isolated incidents of her missing notes, singing off-key, etc.

Yeah it's actually pretty bad, guys. I know, I love her too, but don't act like some of these aren't pretty bad. However, most of these seem to be from the same couple shows, she could've been sick or something. And touring takes a lot out of you, if these are from the end of her tour, her voice was probably shottt (and you can tell in most of these her voice is just shot). Doesn't mean it's ruined forever, she just needs some TLC <3

Heard her sing live myself 2 times. She is amazing live when she is in smaller crowds or not on national television (live, which most of those clips are from.) She has admitted she gets very nervous live too and that's why she messes up. She also cannot hear herself sometimes because of how loud everything is, and she is moving around which messes up her posture to produce a proper high note. She never claimed to be perfect you @ss.

...There were 3 screwups in this video. I don't understand. The other parts, Amy was doing them just FINE. So... why make a video just proving she is a good singer. Amy is touring the WORLD. So, Amy isn't perfect live. There are very few singers who are. Tarja Turunen, for example, never misses a note and some supernatural talent there. Amy has a DAMN AMAZING voice. Just sometimes, on the Ev albums, she's trying to push herself. And that's great, but you have to understand it's gonna be harder live. Amy says "No ones's perfect, I'm perfectly flawed." SO THERE YOU GO. I bet you can't admitt that. Amy, I love you even in death <3 :)

I went to her concetr on 7/11/11. i enjoyed listening to her mistakes. Proves she isnt perfect and she is singing live and i expect her to be out of breath after jumping about running, shes an inspiration... and even being tired she had the voice of an angel. P.S. They were all-male bands at that festival, Amy was the only woman on that stage that day. Amy is absolutely aware that there are other female-fronted bands, she's discussed them before in interviews - Within Temptation, Nightwish, etc.
