Career Education Corporation which owns CTU is being investigated by the Federal Government and subsequently more schools could close.
There are numerous active student, faculty and shareholder investigations along with countless lawsuits. It appears CEC has been running for-profit degree mills.
@CECOAdvocate proof and a website giving us this information might help. Otherwise, you're another neusince de-valuating what is education. Why you would do this, I'm not sure, but education has always been important to me and is to most who want to get somewhere in life.
@SerinaJK It's clear in the CECOAdvocate (click the blue highlighted CECOAdvocate) channel below. I went to college, and very aware of what education is and it's advantages. CEC schools are not supplying education and the Federal investigation, lawsuits by faculty, students and shareholders are proof of that. Just read the links in the channel or Google search "CEC investigation" CEC Career Education Corporation owns CTU by the way, and CEC is publicly traded, yes on Wall Street.
@checkers1245 I can understand where you're coming from here. As far as tech support goes, I gave up on relying on them. I'll just write a letter to my instructor(s) about my issues. As far as instructors who don't know how to teach go, this is why I cram in extra time to study and make sure I understand everything. All any instructors or teachers do is reiterate what you're studying to begin with. If you study more, you won't have to give up. Please don't fail.
@checkers1245 I don't mind at all and you're welcome :-) Most instructors would advise us to use the learning labs and resources. I usually just end up doing my own research for the most part, but they are helpful. I wish you the best!
@checkers1245 I know what you're going through. I've had those classes where I just did not want to do anything cause I wasn't learning anything. I literally called student advising and asked them if I could switch. I don't have time for that mess. If you can't teach, don't do it.
OMG Algebra...I'm going to have nightmares tonight! LOL I have to say that math is not my 'gig'.....I had to get SO much help in any kind of math my whole life...so you're doing great!!! :) Keep it up!
that's ok, from junior high till high school I was in remedial math and when I transfered from regular HS to technical high school, they were teaching me pre-algebra. The only thing I was struggling with is going from that EDU to Intermediate...I almost crapped my pants! LOL but I got a C in that class. It's in this video.
Hey! I think a C is awesome! :) I remember when I was a kid, and I would get a D in my math class...my mom knew how hard I tried, (and cried) and would take me out to dinner. :) lol she's awesome...
Also, I forgot to say...I remember how EXCITED I was when I found out that my senior year of HS I didn't have to take any math class...it was AWESOME! lol I decided to be a teacher's assistant with my friend in what was one of our favorite classes-Mythology :)
