10 feet widescreen format. Screen is made out of Komatex which is really just fancy poster board. Frame is just some 1x12's. Ran me all of $75 to build the screen. Projector ran about $900. Use it every night and most weekends for past 2 yrs now. It's been great. Movies especially and we watch DirecTv HD on it for regular shows and sports. Whole lot of bang for the buck!
I'd try projecting it from behind the screen.
