depending on the bikes can range from 200 to 2,000 but you dont need to get one over 1,000 and i recomend to not get one under 500 but yeah my personal opinion i LOVE the GIANT STP SS 2009 amazing bike and it runs so smoothly and half a year of extreme abuse it still runs smoothly and it holds well i did not have to replace any parts yet and yeah paid 850 and that was last year novermber but the other stp's are alos mad good so looki into one of those =] or bmx bikes if you wanna go very cheap

This is just a evolutionary step in trick bikes. Within 5-10 years, bmx and street mtb is going to be pretty mucn indistinguishable. just a matter of time before bmx bikes get the type of handlebars, and the mtb's are going to shrink a little bit - and they're gonna get pegs pretty soon. And then the frames will morph close to the biketrial frames. At that point, you got the ultimate freestyle bike. At least that's what i'm hoping will happen.

I have nothing against mtb, I do DH racing and I love mtb. But I think that MTB doesnt look good on dirt jumps and skateparks. BMX looks so much smooth and agile on dirt jumps and skateparks. I think that people are trying to incorporate mtbikes were they dont belong. As I said MTB is my passion, but I think that BMX looks smoother for these type of riding.

yeah I know what you mean, I can't do a lot of that stuff and part of it is beacuse If I wanted to ride in a park like that I would do it on a bmx. I have been trying to urban freeride in a way that is fun and challanging, but not anything like what bmxrs have been doing for years, they can have can have bar spins and backflips.
