The XW-G1 was more of a prototype so they weren't demoing it much, but the capabilities are really cool for groove stuff...I like the looper/samping options, which the P1 doesn't have.
I suppose the flash memory in the XW-G1 is the reason behind the larger price.I think the trade off between both models where one has more synth capabilties & costs $100 less,versus less sounds for $100 more,is a bad idea.
Then again,if built in sampling is really that important to some,the XW-G1 might seel pretty well.
Personally,I think the XW-P1 is the better deal & one could always buy a separate sampler(& I wonder if the audio fidelity of the G1's sampler is any good).
