Haven't had anybody massively bad...just your standard stuck up people clicking their fingers at you (which i hate soo much) And some guy that went insane because he had broccolli on his plate......and a woman that accused me of stealing her collectable spoon.....
She told them just exactly what she thought of their atrocious behavior. The two adults, anyway--the kids were better behaved than their parents! And as he was going out the door, the man was hollering about how he was gonna call corporate on us and blah blah blah blah blah and the other waitress pointed at her name tag and said, "My name is _______. (And she spelled her name out, too!) Make sure you get it right!"
And all this while, we'd been feeling kinda sorry for his wife and kids, who just kinda kept their heads down and didn't say anything while he was ranting. That is, until, as they were walking towards the door, the other waitress noticed that his wife had taken a full glass of water, placed a napkin over it and turned it upside down so that if you tried to move it, water would go everywhere. That's when she LOST IT and she chewed them a new asshole all the way to the door.
Then he started talking about how I was gonna take that pork chop dinner off the ticket because it was nasty and he didn't eat it and blah blah blah blah blah and how he was gonna talk to my manager in the morning (*rolls eyes* big whoopty doo!) and how he was never coming back there again! (Hallelujah! Praise Jesus!) I went ahead and took it off because he didn't eat it and because I just wanted him to get out of there.
She walked away and told me she was done messing with him, too. About forty minutes later--during which time I completely ignored that table--no drink refills, no extra this and that, NOTHING--the cook and the other waitress went for a smoke break, leaving me alone with them. I started sweeping the floor and I overheard the woman say, "Do you think she's ever gonna refill your coffee? I think you pissed her off." I got him a refill just because I was feeling generous
I finally just walked away from him and I looked at the other waitress and said, "You can have him! I'm done with him!" And I refused him service after that. I also had to go around an apologize to the other customers who were there trying to eat in peace. I apologized the best I could, but Mr. Charming and his loud mouth ran them all out of the place--and they didn't tip. The other waitress went over to him and tried to reason with him just like I did, but she came to the same conclusion.
I couldn't believe my ears, so I asked him, "Sir?" and he repeated himself. I asked what he meant and he said something about, "I've been in here before and those pork chops were a lot thicker than this!" So I explained that we'd been getting thinner pork chops lately but that the price had also gone down. I offered to get him something else to eat, but oh no, that was not going to do at all! And during the conversation, he used the F-bomb on me about nine times...in the same paragraph!
For himself, he ordered a pork chop dinner and his wife ordered something else. I forgot to tell the cook that the hashbrowns were to be well done, so when she started taking them off the grill, that piece of crap barked at her from all the way across the room, "YOU PUT THOSE BACK ON THERE! THOSE ARE NOT DONE!" So...okay...I bring their food out to them after it's done and walk away. He calls me over to the table, points at his plate and asks, "What is this? The diet fucking platter?"
Oh, let's see...six people come to mind for me: a cracker family; a man who has something against tomatoes and carrots; and a mean old dude.
First, the cracker family: I was working the second shift at the Waffle House with another waitress when they came in, a mom, a dad and two kids who were about 8-10 years old. I was the fortunate one waiting on them. The "man" ordered hamburgers and hashbrowns for his kids, with the instruction that the hashbrowns were to be well done.
my worst of this year.. was when a girl is drinking with her girl friends and a guy came up and bought them a round of drinks... then stayed and flirted.. then took out an envelope and handed it to her.. he was serving her divorce papers.. along with a letter from her husband saying he has had an affair with her bff, the one she was drinking with...HUGE fight lasted 2 hours with police and serious damage
welcome to the service industry... guess what it happens everywhere, you cant avoid it... next time get a manager involved and get another server to help you.. i have been in this industry for over 12 years and a manager for 10 years.. and i have had much much ..MUCH worse nights at work...and the worst thing to do it carry that "bad night" with you... so my advice to you sweetie is to stay smiling..write everything down when taking orders and maximize all your steps
My manager explained to him the sign in front of the burger store that said " foreign currency not accepted". The guy left screaming and cursing "I hate America".
I worked as a cashier in a fast food tourist spot. One tourist decided not to bring US currency and falsely assumed we were a bank. I politely told him he don't accept foreign currency and that he would have to go to the nearest bank or ATM (which was a block away) to get US currency. He got very mad and demanded to speak to my manager about why his currency was not good enough.
had an older man throw the coasters into my face like frisbees one by one (there were 5 coasters) then yell at me, and request another server at the very end of his meal so he didn't have to tip me.
had a young couple walk out on their bill ( i am responsible and would have to pay it) i followed them to the door saying where are you going? you didn't pay your bill?!!! yelled THESE PEOPLE ARE WALKING OUT ON THEIR BILL!
had a girl say she was going to slap me in the face!
A place called Crackerville in a prdomently black area? The old lady is on a power trip. Maybe she was a server and got that treatment a long time ago but is to racist to let it go. It's a bummer but,...
Sorry... sounded like Crackerville to me. I'm am white too, and I'm going to have a salad now too. God Bless, Sometimes I ask "Where's my teeth too". Oh well, I'm sure you are not a stupid white girl. People are just mean. Take care hon.
us busthusy have it harder then u servers u guys never prebust ur tables and it makes it hard on us and y r u guys complaing u guys it like 50 adday and 100 on sunday
The only time we had bussers at CB was on Saturday and Sunday breakfast. But you know, I'd rather bus tables than deal with some of these ridiculous ass people.
I serve at red lobster. I had a two top leave me a $100 tip and come back a few hours later to say they changed their mind and left me a single dollar bill.
After 5 years if the food-service industry( 3 years as a server, now I cook) it is obvious to me that some people only go out to eat to give us a hard time; nothing will ever be good enough for them, every interaction with a server is an excuse to tip less( as if they have ever tipped over ten percent). As a cook I have realized that those same people have no idea how food should be properly prepared.
I worked at a VI and an old guy who I wasn't even waiting on stood up and punched me in the gut because his food was taking too long, he was drug out the door by another customer. I'm a whopping 5'2" and 107lbs
i was a busboy once .. i got fired for eating stuff that i should'nt have !... i was hungrey what the fuck !! ha ha ..shit job anyway !lol ... i liked your vid ! its a good story !! your cute !
haha they like to call it "grazing"! Like we're cattle or something. You work a 10 hour shift and if you eat a french fry, you're satan incarnate. Pity. Thanks for the comment!
