How can I add models into Garrysmod?

@SuperErinMan To simplify it follow this

1. download winrar.

2. go to Garry's Mod.org and log in via steam

3. Search wished addon. Press DOWNLOAD. when downloaded drag the file into winrar

press "EXTRACT>extract to specified folder > windows C:/ > Program files (x86) >steam > steamapps > Garry's Mod> Garry's Mod > highlight "addon" and push "OK"

IN_GAME

If they're not in spawnlist go to

"Browse" tab in the menu > Team Fortress 2. search in the folders there 'till you find the files

I've often wondered why there isn't a tool separate from HAT that keeps track of your ragdoll's previous position. It would make animating a lot easier if you could compare one frame to another without having to exit/minimize gMod.

Some useful console commands for ragdoll posing:

enter "bind (key) cl_removedecals" place your crosshair over a prop or ragdoll that has been painted, shot etc. and press the bound button. The decals will be removed and your model is clean for another go!

If you're posing on a map that has distracting and ugly shine on the map itself and the props you're using, enter "mat_specular 0" and let the game re-download the lightmaps. No more ugly shine! Replace the 0 with 1 if you want the shine back.

Just go to the options page and re-bind a couple numpad controls to keys that aren't being used (for example, bind numpad 0 to the M key)

It will work just as fine, the only downsides are not having as many commands and having to remember which keys are bound to which.

If you wanna use the fraps screenshot feature or any other screenshot feature open up the console by pressing the button left of 1 (the tilde key) and write in "cl_drawhud 0" whitout the "'s once you have done that you hud will dissapear and you can only see your weapon and your spawn menu (q by default) you can use this to more easily animate,just remember to use the camera!
