Why don't you go and shut up. They didn't have loud instruments or the technology we have today. Infact a little fact is they didn't have computers back in the 1920's! Bet you didn't know that smart-alec!
i am rap dude...producing rap beatz...i respect this old ages becouse they made real music...im going to sample some of those old songz and make them alive in modern sound of rap...but still gon keep it to the classic sound....music is beatufyl...
@KameleonOfficialTv You do realize that there are people working and playing RIGHT NOW who can and do make this kind of music... not copying, not sampling, but really MAKING this kind of music? Maybe not in your town or in the clubs you go to, but they exist and you'd better believe most of them would be honored to be included in a record contract. But hey, maybe I'm just an idealist.
the twenties looked like a really exciting time to live in.. its interesting how blacks were looked down upon, yet their music was enjoyed by those same people.. is that how it happened?
Peachy keen clip! What swell toe-tapping tunes! Puts me in the mood to put on my racoon coat & fill my hip flask for New Years Eve! THANKS for posting this....you're the bee's knees...in fact, you're the cats pajamas! Oh you kid!!! 23 Skidoo!!! :)
@Jamiexdotcom Glad you enjoyed my comments, Jamie! Always nice to meet a young person who enjoys the great music of yesteryear! I lift my glass of bathtub gin to ya....actually, I'm really drinking vodka & Milk of magnesia...I call it a PHILLIPS SCREWDRIVER!!! :)
OMD, So Beautiful. I only have one question, what is the exact name of the short clip of the George Gershwin piece; what is that song/piece of music called.
I could quibble with the title, in that the three tunes were written in 1915, 1928 (but not published until 1930) and 1931., but you captured the roar of the Jazz Age. Now where's a clip-joint where I can Charleston or belt out some Al Jolson? You ain't seen nothing yet...!
Hey can you tell me from what artist the second song which includes the voice of a woman is? It is played when you present Duke ellington...but who's the female singer?
Thanks~ I need this because my english teacher asked me xD

Old or young music does not mean anything.
There is only good or poor music.

just a question, does the US, have a world history course in their public school systems
i'm NOT being rude or offence, I'm just asking
don't call me stupid for not knowing, because i don't know EVERYTHING about the U.S. political system,
isn't impossible to to know everything
and this is one thing i don't know
even if it is stupid, at least i'm asking and trying to add to my knowlage
keep that mean before posting a nasty comment.
js saw it was for a america history class

I could quibble with the title, in that the three tunes were written in 1915, 1928 (but not published until 1930) and 1931., but you captured the roar of the Jazz Age. Now where's a clip-joint where I can Charleston or belt out some Al Jolson? You ain't seen nothing yet...!
Gmackematix 3 years ago
I thought the first tune was a little bit different from the others. It sounded very 1910s and I heard alot of music from that time.
