  • what a beezy! What is that ladies, and for the matter the colleges agenda? I'm writing a summery on one of JONATHAN KOZOL articles called "Still Separate, Still Unequal: America's Educational Apartheid" he writes about the way the students are taught and the learning environment of lower income inner-city schools at the elementary school level. The way the government and school administrators control what is learned there and on our college campuses I feel are very similar in nature

  • you know she said half the things she did just because she was on camera

  • I don't get this. Christians claim to believe in a powerful God, who answers prayers. If they are being discriminated against, can't they just pray the problem away? I mean, that's what most Christians teach the unsaved when proselytizing...to ask Jesus into your heart, enter a relationship with Him, and He will be your friend and answer your prayers etc. It's almost hypocritical to see groups like ADF now turning to the law, instead of turning to God for help.

  • Now, the Bible also promises that Christians will be despised, and that they should rejoice in suffering. Where is the rejoicing in suffering and persecution today? Does ADF even believe the Bible and take it seriously? The way you act speak louder than your words my friends. I am sick and tired and fed up of Christians claiming to, on the one hand, believe in God yet, on the other hand, complain and react to suffering and persecution in a way that is entirely unbiblical.

Also it is important to bear in mind that Christians are rejoicing through their persecution, when in fellowship with each other. Christians who complain about persecution have stopped listening to God, because they have lost sight of the ultimate plan when facing persecution. We Christians believe in the tolerance of all other conflicting worldviews, but when others try to stop that, it is our duty as Christians to call that out in a respectful manner.

So what I'm saying to you is though it may appear hypocritical in its propensity, the truth is that Christians in America are only trying to go back to the tolerance of freedom of speech and practice of other religions even though they disagree with other viewpoints. It only happens that Christianity is the one worldview in America, in which it's views are being treated as completely intolerable.

  • @zantonio88

I understand where you're coming from. Remember that Christians are called by God to make a difference in the world. If they are being persecuted against, it is only because they HAVE God at their side, not have Him away from them. As Christians, persecution is a natural way for our faith to be tested and allow our dependence on God to grow. Therefore if Christians turn to the law for help, it is only because they have ALREADY consulted God on the matter.

  • @micwitt08- So let me get this straight. If a private university wants to censor pro-life views you'd be ok with that? I doubt it. Georgetown may be a private institution, but it still gets a lot of federal funding. It's for that reason that the federal government can enforce anti-discrimination laws. Private schools have to grant students their constitutional rights just like public schools. Lastly, public schools also receive private donations and grants that could be lost over a pro-life club

  • I'll support your right to start a pro-life club on campus if YOU will support my right to host a pro-choice rally.

  • They're clearly actors... Setting that aside, I want to ask something of those who are outraged by this. I go to Georgetown University, which is a Jesuit institution. They denied a Pro-choice group called "Hoya's for Choice" (Hoya is our mascot and name) on the grounds that that view was inconsistent with the university's position. They are denied funding and recognition on campus. Is this right?

I would argue that ALL people have a right to express their views: Pro-life or Pro-choice. Agree?

  • @jadgenius0791 I would agree that all people have the right to express their views, but your example doesn't fit. Georgetown is a private university that is privately funded. They have the right to deny anything they want. The case in the video is a public university who is publicly funded. They do not have the right to censor a view that is not unconstitutional.

That being said, it would also not be in the best interest of Georgetown to have that club. They would loose many private donors.

  • Wow!!! if this really is real, that grinds my gears! (family guy quote) how biassed is that if a pro-choice group is aloud by not a pro-life group.

  • Wow, too many Christian groups already... That's.. wow

  • The series on YouTube looks real ... because it is! Every episode is based on actual ADF cases.

  • SpeakUpUniversity: Forgive me, but what does "ADF" cases mean and is this video staged? It looks rehearsed.

  • @BobbyJohns08 ADF stands for Alliance Deefnse Fund. Hanna’s Video Blog that tracks a (fictional) student’s efforts to start a pro-life club on her campus. The series is based on our actual cases.

As the series progresses, you’ll ask yourself, “Did these things actually happen to real students......?” Yes, they did, and they keep happening across the country.

This episode is based on Beth Sheeran's case. SpeakUpMovement . org /university

  • @SpeakUpUniversity thank you for clarifying that. I was thinking this was fake, therefore not to sure if the story was even real.

  • @SpeakUpUniversity What is "ADF cases" and is this video fact or fiction? I agree with fsedb1, it looks staged.

  • @BobbyJohns08 the video stories are based on real cases. You can check out actual case documents on the university map on SpeakUpMovement . org /university website. To get real audio tape or footage is difficult. Students call us after they have been censored on campus. They don't set this stuff up.

  • I have to say this seem horribly stage to me.

  • @fsedb1 I puked a little. Hanna's kinda hot though.
