  • The sound is normal. I have two of the same model series (both of them broke down and I fixed them with spare parts). The older one makes 1-2dB more sound than the newer one.

Who drinks this at the mornings anyway??.. huh... I only drink at afternoons. Yoghurts are for the mornings to calm down your stomach for the day. :)

I love these little Krups espresso machines.

    LOL

  • nice:))))

  • I have the exactly the same machine. The noise is perfectly normal but I agree with you: it is very loud. They should have built some kind of insulation around the burr grinder. When we have guests at home I sometimes put a towel over the machine to muffle the noise. It reduces the noise by about 30% (depending on how thick the towel is). This is a pretty ghetto solution but heh, it works...

  • Yes, life is tough, you hear coffee grinding in the morning with every process automated no less. TIme to divert aid from Haiti solve this problem! Just turn up Bach's Coffee Cantata!

  • I will try to do a video tutorial about opening the Orchestro F890 including opening the case, remove and disassembling the brewing unit, change/lubrificate critical o-rings and lubrificate motion tracks and mechanisms.

  • @XerifeGuenu That my friend would be awesome. Although I think you may have a bit too much time on your hands....

  • Open the case and isolate the pump and coffee grinder with sound isolation foam.

  • Have you ever opened the XP7225?

  • No but I already have opened my Krups Orchestro F890 alot of times to clean it and lubrificate/change the o-rings.

  • The noise is nothing and lasts only a few seconds. What I could not live with was the thing leaking water out of the bottom onto my counter. I returned 2 different machines in 3 weeks for this!! No more krups for me, I bought Delonghi!

  • I try to avoid grinding my coffee beans in the garburator, they get somewhat soggy and taste bad !

  • put some beans in your garburator and lets hear how loud it is
