  • Tobey Maguire is sooo cute!!

  • Gotta agree with Vera and Carey! Superb choices!

  • Ugh! Toby McGuire needs to Shut the F*** up.

  • Couldn't agree more with Woody Harrelson; the main actor in The Lives of Others (Das Leban der Anderen) was absolutely amazing. It's sad he died soon after the film was released. It was his breakthrough performance.

  • what movie did Zoe Saldana say?

  • The Best Performances of the Decade Alan Rickman on Prof Snape

  • Marion Cotillard in Le Vie en Rose

  • Colin Firth's choice, and Carey Mulligan choice.

  • french actress Isabelle Adjani in "Possession" from d'Andrzej Żuławski, specially into the subway scene : OMG !! terrorizing and mind blowing

french actor Tahar Rahim in "un Prophète" from Jacques Audird, master performance

Your stewart, fanning, mulligan, hataway, biel, alba...are disqualified next to them, just amateurs !!

  • WTF Sandra Bullock's hair!!!

  • Yeah, George has the same opinion like me! 6:20

  • Adrien Brody in The Pianist

  • Leo DiCaprio in The Aviator!

  • Woody Harrelson seems like..i don't know lost or something. Hahaha

  • Sean Penn in Mystic River defenitely or Tom Hanks in Forest Gump

  • @Fhoebys16 Forest Gump was the 90s

  • Colin Firth in The King's Speech or Viggo Mortensen in The Road

  • Really? No one said Daniel Day-Lewis? I guess it would be too hard to choose between Gangs of New York and There Will Be Blood...

  • Some of these choices are really bad :(

  • Marion Cotillard in La Vie en Rose, Cate Blanchett in Elizabeth and a lot of people might disagree but i luv Bjork in Dancer in The Dark

  • wtf is up with bullocks hair?

  • @AmberLantern Her new baby styled it!

  • WOW, none of the actors here actually said the best performance of the decade.... Ellen Burstyn as Sarah Goldfarb in Requiem for A Dream

  • JAKE PICKED HIS BROTHER IN LAW.

  • Really Marion Cotillard in anything. I loved her in La Vie En Rose and although a lot of people didn't even like Nine I have to say that Marion's performance was inspired and beautiful (It was the first Marion movie I'd seen but afterwards I watched every performance of hers in English and a couple french ones as well)

  • YES MERYL STREEP

  • Ah of course Sandra Bullock would pick THE ONE.

  • I'm with Vera Farmiga and George Clooney on this one ! Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard on Hunger and La Vie En Rose :)

  • Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger in Brokeback Mountain...

The little kids in Slumdog Millionaire...

  • 2:20 I KNOWWWW.

  • yey, WOODY! :D

  • Heath Ledger in the dark night, just wow.

  • I like the fact that Ulrich Mühe is mentioned!!! :)

  • Actors have strange taste lol.

  • I just heard Colin Firth start talking and I almost started crying. He's so wonderful in A Single Man.

  • Agree with Vera Farmiga about Michael Fassbender in Hunger. Fantastic performance.

  • agree with sandra bullock and george clooney! :)

  • For me, it'd probably be a tie between Saoirse Ronan in Atonement or Heath Ledger in Brokeback Mountain. Heartbreaking and beautiful performances.

  • I love how everyone is dressed so casual & then Colin Firth turns up in a suit and bow tie. Such a smooth guy.

  • This made me like Julianne Moore even more :)

  • Either Paddy Considine in Dead Mans Shoes or Ellen Page in Hard Candy.

  • I'd be willing to bet that Woody Harrelson is as high as a kite for this interview.

  • No mention of Daniel Day-Lewis as Plainview? Blasphemy.

  • @alexanderrobertking TOTALLY AGREED. The whole time I was watching this I was waiting for someone to say it... as soon as I saw the title of the video I knew Plainview was my answer.

  • @shesaid I really found it unbelievable that there was no mention of it. Scratch best performance of the decade, that performance is without a doubt one of the greatest of all time. It very seriously rivals (or exceeds) De Niro in Raging Bull or Hoffman in Midnight Cowboy.

  • Marion Cotillard i think was the best performance, n i love Carey Mulligan shes lovely

  • Kolin Firth, hahah, it is so adorable :)

  • You can say whatever you want but George Clooney has an incredible deep voice that I've never heard anywhere else! Stunning! o.o

  • I enjoyed Zoe Zaldana's answer. I do not know nothing about her, but she sounded like a very sensitive and intelligent person. Beautiful words.

  • Sam Riley in Control

  • WTF no Heath Ledger, he was amazing in The Dark Knight as the Joker

  • lol woody harrelson's voice: "And then he died after that!"

  • Marion Cotillard all the way !!

  • ABSOLUTELY LOVE Morgan Freeman's answer and agree 100% !!

  • Cher Bullock

  • How about Colin Firth in a Single Man? Mesmerizing performance. Also, Casey Affleck in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and Chris Cooper in Adaptation. And I think Harrelson got it exactly right; Ulrich Muhe in Das Leben Der Anderen was incredible.

  • Andrew Garfield in Boy A. It's hard for me to even articulate why I find it so moving. But it blew anything else I had seen right out of the water.

  • No Daniel Day Lewis in There Will Be Blood?!

  • I want to see morgan freeman`s screen test!! I can`t find it! :(

  • Vera Farmiga = the smartest person here.

  • @mechaamem

Because she jumped on the Fassbender wagon or because she drops words like "conveys"?

  • @mdilla11

Because she speaks the truth! :)

  • Jesus christ they're only actors, why do people give them so much credit, they do the least work.

  • Where is Justin Bieber ?

  • I'll give you two:

    Heath Ledger as the Joker

    Jamie Foxx as Ray Charles

  • SO happy someone mentioned Michael Fassbender. Just saw Hunger a few days ago and Michael's performance just haunted me.

  • Will Simth in 7 pounds

  • Charlize Theron in 'Monster' or Marion Cotillard in 'La Vie en Rose'. Easy.

  • woa woa woa!! where's heath ledger as the joker??

  • Monique in Precious. Um...yeah. Enough said.

  • Heith Leadger as the joker is the best

  • Tobey Maguire and Leonardo Decaprio are best friends, thats why he said it's bias

  • From THIS decade: Marion Cotillard in ''La Vie en Rose'' Michael Caine in ''The Quiet American'' Helen Mirren in ''The Queen'' Christoph Waltz in ''Inglourious Basterds'' Cate Blanchett in ''Notes on Scandals'' and ''I'm Not There'' Phillip Seymour Hoffman in ''Capote'' Juliette Binoche in ''Chocolat'' Catalina Sandino Moreno in ''Mary Full of Grace'' Daniel Day Lewis in ''There Will be Blood'' Colin Firth in ''The King's Speech'' and Edward Norton in ''Primal Fear'' and ''American History X''

  • Totally agree with Mr. Morgan Freeman :) MERYL STREEP IN EVERYTHING! Hellooooo, ''Shophie's choice'' (one of THE GREATEST performance of ALL TIME) Roberto Benigni in ''Life Is Beautiful'' (such an heartbreaking film and performance) Jack Nicholson in ''One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'' Tom Hanks in ''Forrest Gump'' and ''Philadelphia'' Katy Bates in ''Misery'' Cate Blanchett in ''Elizabeth'' Jodie Foster in ''The Accused''. So many in the greats performance in pass.. I can't describe all.

  • Big hair is in and cute keep up people !

  • What the fuck, did Sandra Bullock get shocked by high voltage ?

  • I am so with Colin Firth.Yeah kevin Bacon was a amazing in it.Really taugh to achieve it! Tobey Maguire is so cool.- Love them.

  • Press 9. George Clooney is SO CUTE.

    Eheheheheh.

  • Nobody mentioned any of the brilliant performances by CHRISTIAN BALE.

  • @BLurredInbLueLights yeah they missed a lot of great performances but its their personal favorite sooo

  • Daniel Day Lewis in "There Will Be Blood". Someone once told me that the way to tell if a movie was good or not was if you turn the volume all the way down and it's still entertaining...that's a good movie. I forget that he's Daniel Day Lewis, and not Daniel Plainview.

  • woody is right, ulrich was phenomenal

  • Cate Blanchette, Notes on a Scandal. Philip Seymour Hoffman, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead. Keisha Castle-Hughs, Whale Rider.

  • Michaael Fassbender is so good in "Hunger" and "Fish Tank". Such an amazing actor.

  • Casey Affleck in Jesse James.

  • Chuck and Buck... is a great film. And yes, amazing performance.

  • Tobey McGuire and Jake Gyllenhaal really should be brothers!

They both had the most biased picks of the whole lot. At least they admit it though... too funny.

  • @ItsLikeAPurplishBlue It's a matter of personal opinion, so in my opinion there its impossible to be biased for this.

My pick is Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Mysterious Skin. The best part in a deep, touching, and disturbing movie.

  • @McRighty I was going to say the same thing. He struck this amazing balance between aggressive and vulnerable that was so perfect for his character.

  • @PersiaTV hahah gay hell

  • Carey Mulligan's voice is so soothing.

  • black and white just makes people look so darn classy!

  • Are you guys serious? What about Daniel Day Lewis in There Will Be Blood?!

  • There r just too many 2 pick 1.here r some of my faves.cate blanchett in practically anything,julianne more-far from heaven,the hours,nicole kidman-moulin rouge,the hours,cold mountain,interpreter,australia.vanessa redgrave-atonement,kate,leo& micheal shannon-revolutionary road,javier bardem-no country...christoph waltz-inglorious basterds,monique,gabby s.-precious,charlize-monster,north country,joan allen,contender,upside of anger,ellen burstyn requiem 4 a dreamjust 2 many

  • Definitely agree with George Clooney. Marion Cotillard in La Vie En Rose. Her performance was absolutely breathtaking!

  • George Clooney picked the best !!! now i love him even more !!

  • erm EDWARD NORTON IN AMERICAN HISTORY X WTF? how can someone forget about that performance, COME ONE! ALSO DI CAPRIO AND WAHLBERG IN THE DEPARTED, FUCKING HELL EDDIE MURPHY? WTF!!

  • why does Sandra Bullock have crazy hair?

  • Yeah, Kate Winslet of course. Though her role in Titanic was rather 'boring', but her talent keeps shining since then. The more characters in various movies she involved, the more shining her talent became. Her character in 'The Reader' is absolutely stunning. She blended herself with every characters she played seamlessly. Unlike some stupid big names who always blend whatever characters they play to become themselves( and that's suck )

  • Daniel Day-Lewis as Bill 'The Butcher' in "Gangs of New York (2002)"

  • Michael Fassbender HUNGER

  • Rachel Mcadams' audition for the notebook, better than the movie!

  • Colin Geddis in I Am Fighter.

  • Great picks all around. Yes, even Eddie Murphy.

  • Keep things simple: Oscar 2007! Daniel DayLewis & Marion Cotillard

  • @TheEdiebaby LOL! haha

  • christoph waltz! aah! brilliant actor!

  • soirse ronan in the lovely bones!!! :)

  • HAHA Sam Worthington - Trust the aussie! That is classic

  • daniel day lewis in There Will Be Blood

  • is that a tattoo on zoe's left arm?

  • Daniel Day Lewis - There Will be Blood.

    Wowwwww! what a performance.

  • For me I'd say the best performance was Daniel Day Lewis in 'There Will Be Blood'. Other contender have been mentioned already including Jamie Fox in 'Ray'. I love Marion Cotilliard but I still haven't watched 'La Vie En Rose'. One of the moving performances of the last decade was Adrian Brody in 'The Pianist'. One that I think was very underated is Mickey Rouke's performance as the character Marv, in 'Sin City'. That for me was even better than his performance in 'The Wrestler'.

  • what the fuck is going in with sandra bullocks hair?

  • @leoniddead haha! i thought she was gonna do something funny. haha.

    i love sandra bullock! :)
