hey guys how bout you all go to the gym, lift some weights, get a six pack and live a happy life, oh and stay away from all carbs excepot pasta, potatoes etc
This is how normal people eat. Well, maybe not you because you're probably such a fat shit that you scoff it down putting your face in the food. Where as NORMAL (not just British) people eat with their knife and fork.
WTF how the hell did i get to here ???? and who would video a man and talk about how to eat, but darn im hungry now watching this, i need a full english breakfast now,
I love English breakfast but the rest?...I'm going to send this to my Aussie and British buddies abroad.I need a proper opinion on this scenario.Btw why the cripes don't muzzies like bacon? I mean really how can any human being not like bacon?
@wishen4fishen2 What don't you understand? It all lookslike an English breakfast (aside from the chips - not sure if it's a Scottish thing or if it's after midday).
@wishen4fishen2 The 'roasted' part refers to the 'roasted' meat that is cooked for several hours beforehand - lamb, beef, chicken, then served with potatoes, vegetables and Yorkshire puddings, plus gravy... beautiful! :)
@wishen4fishen2 Interesting to me,you guys call the potatoes on this man's plate chips and we call 'em French fries unless served with fried fish in which case there called fish n chips"confusing I know:D" I have no clue why we call them that in the states as I'm not even sure the French are the original inventors of chips.Kind of makes me wonder about the term hot dogs while were on the subject.
@IL0veMoz we do refer to something as french fries, but we still usually call it a chip anyway, thin chips like you see in mcdonalds.thin chip were origanly a french thing maybe, so we might refer to it as a french fry because of that. You probably call them 'fish n chips' because fried fish and chips is a british dish(Fish N Chips from the chippy :)
@JoKitch8 My Aussie buddies tell me the same thing but man it makes me gag, reckon if I had been brought up on it I would like it as well,so do you like peanut butter?
@wishen4fishen2 I love peanut butter, but not with jam,or jelly as you say,I dont like vegimite like the aussies, its a bit different to marmite. Also I dont like a full English breakfast, too fatty, but we dont really have chips with it.
@JoKitch8 Cool on the peanut butter.I'm never sure out side of the states as to who likes peanut butter or not,on the veggiemite vs marmite thing and no offense but how do you even know the difference? I tried both and..ok I'll explain the feeling best I can mate and I'm talking both of 'em here>Like soaking a vitamin B tablet "super strength" in a shot of warm water then putting it in ones mouth.
@wishen4fishen2 I tried vegimite once and I just didnt like it, I know marmite is an aquired taste, but there is a subtle difference. to me marmite tastes like the brown bit at the bottom of dripping which is eaten on bread over here. Peanut butter is very popular over here. The most popular meals over here are curry and sunday roast with yorkshire puddings, which i love cos im from Yorkshire. I take it from your name you like fishing,my partner goes fishing every day when its fine.
@JoKitch8 Makes perfect sense.,wasn't aware peanut butter was popular in the UK .I love Yorkshire pudding no aquired taste needed for that little slice of heaven for a Yank as well as curry roasted meats and yes I'm like your buddy.I love fishing,it's what I do for fun and meat in season, from bass and trout too river fishing for salmon, now I have a hankering for Yorkshire pudding a roasted duck for some strange reason.
@wishen4fishen2 couldnt eat duck cos I had some as pets, bow fishing looks like fun,my partner just fishes for sport except when he goes to the coast, then we eat the fish, the ones from the local rivers dont taste so good.
@JoKitch8 Yea,I can understand that.I have geese and chickens for pets but I do eat the chicken eggs, what kind of fish does your buddy catch off the coast if I may ask? Are your local rivers kind of muddy? as that will make fish taste bad.Oh I meant to ask you if spam and eggs are popular in the UK.I recall a classic funny rant from Montey Python on spam n eggs.
@wishen4fishen2 He catches mackerel, cod, bass. yeah the local fish do taste like mud.I dont know about spam with eggs,we like it made into fritters( dipped in batter and fried) Its nice with chips and beans. I was just watching the Monty Pythons doing the four Yorkshiremen yesterday, Just watching Mythbusters now ,very popular in the UK.
@wishen4fishen2 What do you mean, the America came from England thing? Is it a Python thing,I`m not familiar with all their stuff, a bit before my time. Tim Minchin is more my thing.
@JoKitch8 Something else we do here is called aerial bow fishing bow fishing, there asian carp and they literally jump in the boat, type in "aerial bow fishing" and you can see with your own eyes as no one out side of the states believes it until they see it.I don't care for eating them but allot of folks do.
@Sunflowers159 , I'm American & never put my knife down just to take a bite. No offense intended, but I'm not sure how you came to this conclusion. I really don't think it's is a cultural difference, just personal preference really. Perhaps it was the type of restaurant you dined at?
I'm a Brit and when I went over to the States a few years ago I went out with some Americans to a restaurant. EVERYBODY looked at me when I started to eat while holding on to my knife and fork! Why do Americans cut up their food, put down their knife and then eat their food and repeat the whole procedure? It looks very complicated.
well..... im british and i find this to be a successful fail 1 we are just as much of a pig than you americans but not as much 2 you are failing to eat properly us british dont eat little bits if a british person was to look at you they would think that you have had your stomach tightend so you eat less
@britturk123 A little bit racist there don't you think ? I rarely eat chips unless at a chippy or a meal that usually has chips with it. This is like saying English only eat crumpets and drink tea, the tea part is true though and yeah Scotland follows that trend with you's. You cant beat a cup a tea :P Your comment is funny though, we do pretty much deep fry everything XD Should try a battered mars bar there actually pretty good surprisingly
@Mcghi3 No mate i was just being sarchastic, obviously scottish people do not have chips with everything but like here in england depending on class you will lower your nutritional boundaries and eat any old rubbish as long as its cheap and tastes good. Haggis is the only thing i personally assosiate with scotland and i doubt you all eat that 24/7 either, i was just having a go at all the pomposity about a bloody greasy british breakfast that some were moaning does not include chips.
@britturk123 All I could think about while reading your comment was - "egg and spam; egg bacon and spam; egg bacon sausage and spam; spam bacon sausage and spam; spam egg spam spam bacon and spam; spam sausage spam spam bacon spam tomato and spam;"
@bradkey98765 You must have been an american soldier during the second world war, lol. Actualy spam has got to be healthier than chips so you win mate, i think i last had spam over 20 years ago in a sandwich.
@daroni1000 Thanks for all your help. I would never have made the mistake of asking for ham and eggs in an English cafe. However if I had ordered this meal in a Scottish one I would receive the meal I had in mind. Thanks for all your interest in this little matter. Isn't it amazing that in an island group as small as this one there are so many quirky little differences in language. Sometimes you only have to cross a county boundary to hear bacon described as ham and ham described as bacon.
I live beside that town, don't know what the North East of Scotland and it's people would think of being lumped in with English traits and sensibilities.
i had no idea that we brits had such a distinctive way of eating! i combine everything i eat an when i eat chips i dont cut them in half i cover them in curry sauce an eat with my fingers about a hand full at a time! Yuuummm.. :)
@beth28x Except when eating maybe Chinese food or something with rice or noodles, we don't usually scoop up multiple types of food on one fork. A fork full of vegetable then maybe meat separately. And only the most formal settings would involve forking french fries.
wait so americans dot eat like that...ive never even thought of that being a british way of eating...its just eating...of coarse you put several different bits of food on your fork, why wouldn't you?
@gl3110 no....no....we dont.....we seperate our food.....hold our fork the other way to eat more of it....Then scarf it in record time ^-^ Im a prime example
@makerzddd Yeah the chips on it are defiantly his American roots showing haha :P Where the fuck is the black pudding and potato scones ! cant have a full English without them
As an american let me break it down, england is an island with no sun.... oxymoron. A hightened vocabulary is no excuse for generations of inbreeding and to top it off, the word food should never be associated with these so called people. In closing, brush your teeth, it's a good thing.
One thing that PISSES me off is the lack of knife use in American culture. Every single place, I always have to ask for a GOD DAMN knife! WTF! Look at this video...One more grown ass man learning how to eat using a knife with techniques...
The only utensil elementary school provides is a fucking plastic fork and nothing else. No table manners. No wonder why my mother had to cut meat for ALL my school friends because they CAN"T. This is really disturbing.
@reece798able here in the usa they probably do not provide schools with metal forks because they could be used as a weapon. Everything is about schools systems being sued in the courts. All it would take (or probably did happen) is one kid to be stabbed with a metal utensil and the school system would have to pay out hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal settlements. Thats the way it is over here
@inkey2 our british schools provide us with all the correct utinsels and hardly anyone get's stabbed,i've also heard the american schools are losing thousands on they're budget which could affect your american education further
@vanhalan1 Hash browns aren't really eaten at breakfast unless one goes out to eat. The vast majority of people eat at home for breakfast. And we do eat beans and tomatoes, but not at breakfast.
Who the fuck puts chips on an English breakfast? And although you're using some of the real etiquette of fine dining in Britain. A Full English is FAR from fine dining, and there is no special rutine involved at all... Just get it down your gilbert.
eating like the british is nothing like that, us british somtimes try to eat like you americans but we have to wash our hands too much so we dont bother and use a fork instead
Chips on a fry up??? You must strayed into the only cafe in Britain that hasn't a clue! Are you sure you were in Scotland? The accents in the back sounds like Londoners!
Judging by the size of the meal i think he's actually just eating like a regular american

As an american let me break it down, england is an island with no sun.... oxymoron. A hightened vocabulary is no excuse for generations of inbreeding and to top it off, the word food should never be associated with these so called people. In closing, brush your teeth, it's a good thing.

laughingmyturbanoff1 1 month ago
One thing that PISSES me off is the lack of knife use in American culture. Every single place, I always have to ask for a GOD DAMN knife! WTF! Look at this video...One more grown ass man learning how to eat using a knife with techniques...

The only utensil elementary school provides is a fucking plastic fork and nothing else. No table manners. No wonder why my mother had to cut meat for ALL my school friends because they CAN"T. This is really disturbing.
formaset 1 month ago
@formaset american elemntary schools cant provide metal forks n stuff? glad im in england, we get proper knifes ns tuff
reece798able 1 month ago
@reece798able here in the usa they probably do not provide schools with metal forks because they could be used as a weapon. Everything is about schools systems being sued in the courts. All it would take (or probably did happen) is one kid to be stabbed with a metal utensil and the school system would have to pay out hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal settlements. Thats the way it is over here
inkey2 1 month ago
@inkey2 our british schools provide us with all the correct utinsels and hardly anyone get's stabbed,i've also heard the american schools are losing thousands on they're budget which could affect your american education further

@formaset Americans don't use knives? Are you serious? How do they eat things without cutting into bitesize bits?

@vanhalan1 Hash browns aren't really eaten at breakfast unless one goes out to eat. The vast majority of people eat at home for breakfast. And we do eat beans and tomatoes, but not at breakfast.
eatmyshortsyouidiot 1 month ago
Who the fuck puts chips on an English breakfast? And although you're using some of the real etiquette of fine dining in Britain. A Full English is FAR from fine dining, and there is no special rutine involved at all... Just get it down your gilbert.
fluffymole0913 1 month ago
eating like the british is nothing like that, us british somtimes try to eat like you americans but we have to wash our hands too much so we dont bother and use a fork instead

Chips on a fry up??? You must strayed into the only cafe in Britain that hasn't a clue! Are you sure you were in Scotland? The accents in the back sounds like Londoners!

Id hate to think you judged the Full English brekkie based on this. I mean it doesn't look *terrible*, but doesn't look great either.
I've no idea what the chips/fries are doing there, unless you specifically asked for them.
