  • If physicians want to prescribe this that's fine with me.

  • If pot's mascot is a disheveled anti authoritarian, then how appealing is that to the average voter?

Marijuana advocates need to appeal to the conservatives, because everyone else is already on board.

"If you want to play the game boy, you have to learn to play it right"- Kenny Rogers

So if you want to have your message accepted by 'the man' - cut your hair, and put on a tie. Then avoid making him defensive by criticizing his firmly held beliefs. Make your message fall in line with his. IMHO

  • I am personally in favor of legalizing pot, but patients must be notified that paranoia can result in certain people. This paranoia can result in chronic anxiety disorders and PTSD (because anxiety attacks are traumatic). If a person with cancer finds it helpful, I am all for giving it to them, but as someone with PTSD (for LSD), pot would only make me worse.

  • Does anyone know if the PTSD panel video is available? Nurse Ed said that it met right before his presentation. Thanks for posting this. Cannabis really helped my PTSD - as well as the neuropathic pain & muscle spasms I have. While in cannabis-friendly state, I was able to function better, sleep & eat, without any other pain meds. Unfortunately now in cannabis-unfriendly state & back to taking presciption narcotics that control pain a little (not as well as cannabis), but bad side effects.

  • Stupid

#1 Pot causes drug induced psychosis (more psychiatric issues)- Proven.

#2 Pot causes paranoia=bad for patients who have it already!

#3 Very stupid to give to patients who have depression(not wanting to do anything)

  • the nurse should have blood test for marijuana, because the last thing this profession needs is impaired nurses caring for patients. The day this society needs marijuana 2 get better, is sad, I will never agree 2 this and not trust the people who do and call themselves professional, unbelievable! RN X 30 yrs

  • @HR1800 You remind me of me before I started educating myself. People are easy to fool so long as they don't read and question and seek answers. The general belief is that man made pharmaceutical medicines are better than naturally occurring medicines. Please name me one man made medicine that has cured any disease. Billions upon billions for cancer research and NO Cure? I thought the doctors were supposed to be highly intelligent.

  • i agree, it does nothing good for our society , they should of released it when we where wearing caveman uniforms and not thinking much. - Apparently like this speaker ;)

  • u need 2 face problems not cover them up with addictive drugs

  • Moreover, it does not cease to amaze me at how many, principally individuals using one's label of PTSD, in a socially and economically strategic nature, are angered when confronted with the omissions and inconsistencies in the "public" dialogue over psych labeling and stigmatization. Factually, whether PTSD is truly medical-no assay or test to prove such-or not is not the point. The real point should center on the socially strategic nature of psychiatry, and those who shield themselves from life

  • My main contention is that PTSD is a thorough medicalizing of what is essentially an existential issue, one that politicians- and the public- favor to have made into a social issue, not unlike so many other invented mental illnesses. The fact that the mental health "care" institutions have a vested professional interest in globalizing human affect as potentially psychopathological, has resulted in a glut of pharma R&D, a growing roster of sick in our culture, and the politicization of medicine.

  • Smoking was a miracle cure for my depression. OK, so it didn't cure it, but it sure did make it more manageable. It's been a long time since I last smoked (long story), and depression has overtaken my life once again. Keep fighting for us.

  • "I will loose my license". If this is not a clear proof of profound fascism, what is?

Opiates ... horrific pharmaceutical demons, who ( What do you mean "who", TB? Are they human? ) actually plan the production and marketing of all those opiates. Imagine, people that "earn" vacations and reproduction out of the misery of other people. While the right medicine, the Holy Herb was already here. For millions of years.

And for what? A car, a child and a mortgage.

TB has deep respect for Ed Glick.

  • excellent video, thanks for sharing.

  • I can give you a long list of my symptoms that cannabis helps, especially the pain and muscle spasms.I won`t take pharmaceuticals because they do have bad side affects, most of them caused horrible stomach cramps and other undesirable affects.Sorry I trusts God`s medicine over man`s any day!

  • I also hope that you discovered that vaporising or eating is the best way to apply the Cannabis medicines. Otherwise, there is plenty information about vaporising or eating. I wish you well.

  • yes I have thanks to Jack Herer, and did u know that Rick Simpson has discovered the cure for Cancer and other diseases and ailments with hemp oil. That is why they really need to legalize, then people won`t have to suffer anymore.~Peace my Friend~

  • Yes I studied the Rick Simpson story. I think that if you have not the circumstances to produce Hemp Oil, good Hashish is an alternative.

  • I plan on getting some hemp seed oil and powder now that I`ve learned how healthy it is,if I had known 30 yrs.ago what I know today I probably would be a lot healthier.
