Arsenal vs Man Utd doesn't mean anything anymore.I don't support neither but always used to look forward to their games.You had the two captains,Keane vs Vieira,and even the two managers,Wenger and fergie were always taking snips at one another in the lead up and following the games.

Winterburn/McClair goes back to 2 games in 88 and 89. The insidious prat was whispering in his ear before he missed apenalty to tie and FA Cup game in last minute and in a 1-1 draw the season later McClair ragged him by his shirt as he lay acting injured on the ground. I say acting as he popped straight up with no sign of injury as soon as it happened. Noone at Man Utd and probably england likes Winterburn, Probably not even his wife n kids

I mean a United fan could say the first one started with Winterburn's bad tackle and that the second one started with an Arsenal melee led by Keown. Van Nistlerooy did nothing violent and didn't physically attack anyone - even as a neutral, I'd have to say that the Arsenal's players actions after he missed the penalty were more inflammatory. I don't THINK that's talking out of my arse, but you never know...

He just drew the ref's attention to the fact that Vieira kicked out. I mean seriously, "CHEATING"? And why do Arsenal fans keep saying "moved his leg" when they mean "kicked out"? I've seen that written at least 4 times. I know he didn't kick RVN, but he definitely had a little lash in his direction. I like Vieira but he ain't no angel! :P

cmon people, the point is that Vieira acted in a manner that was unacceptable. Van Nistelrooy obviously felt threatened. at the end of the day Vieira was at fault not Van Nistelrooy. it disgusts me the way those Arsenal players just all bullied RVN at the end of the game, and somehow they get the fair play award at the end of the season. amazing. don't get me wrong, i admire Arsenal as a footballing side, but they really were out of order that day.
