I think this is a beautiful way to workout I am not sure about using the pilates machines without a trained teacher but I just think it seems like a great workout I lvoe the history. great videio, definitely inspiring.

Love this and the music compliment the movement. I love pilates and has been doing it for the past 8 months seriously. I even had my own pilates personal trainer. A proper pilates trainer because I believe, I need a real pilates trainer and not just any gym trainer. Oh... I also love your pole dancing too. Might try that too.

I agree. I only take pilates mat at my ballet studio. You're almost guaranteed to get Joe's original movements when it's being taught at a pilates or ballet studio! The gym is good for many things, but pilates is not one of them.

how can I get a print out of the exercises. I did not get those with my pilates machine. (a friend got a new machine and gave me hers) look'n to stretch my hip , I have bursitis. The stretching really helps.

Congrats on getting an apparatus to explore the method with.

Mr. Pilates allowed no music in his studio because he wanted you to move at the rhythm of your own breath. That's kinda boring to watch on youtube, so I put music with it, but I do not work out with music.

springcleaning's on it's way, the Totalgym will NOT work for most of this pilates work, there's a loss in the range of movement. You show great strength with these moves:)

No vids yet, but hopefully soon. Often when I mention I teach the equipment as well as the matwork, people have no idea. A couple of people have even said 'I only do proper Pilates on a mat, yours must be a new type'!!!

I'll be spreading the word as much as possiible.

heh, the matwork is a beast of its own in our culture. I have a hard time with gyms teaching it! But, can't stop it, so must learn to live with it. One day certifications in Pilates breaks my heart!
