  • Lol Depeche's Original singer was Vince Clarke. If you listen to the voice you will hear it is his voice. Look up an Erasure video and compare.

  • This is not David Gahan neither Depeche Mode style. I'm sure of this!!! T

  • nice version from Tainted Love - Depeche Mode :) i like it

  • The singer is a spanish man...the name is Elio de Palma, was the singer of the spanish group "Qun Qun"... This Man was dead In 29 september-2005 with 38 years old...

  • At first I think it is depeche mode but...the voice is clearlier... Anyway, I don't know who sing this song but I enjoy it ;) I don't know if I could believe that's depeche mode. I think it is a remix of the cures. But I don't know...

Sorry for my english, I'm german and I don't know if that is ok...

  • this is not Depeche Mode. Dave's voice is lower.

  • maybe Depeche Mode remixed it and used soft cells voice because that is what a remix is is making your own sound with same bands voice a cover is singing it yourself and doing own sound.

  • the original song is by the cure.

  • @TonyLaubs the original song is by gloria jones and was covered by the cure and a bunch of other artists

  • I used to think I was listening to a Depeche Mode cover of this song, but recently I've found out that it was The Cure's cover. If this isn't a Techno remix of the original('cause apparently Marc Almond has done several versions), then it's definitely a Techno remix of The Cure's cover. Either way, it's a Techno remix of the song though.

  • Okay...WHO THE HELL IS SINGING THIS?!?!?!?

  • no maa... esta d huevisimos (3

  • I think this is a remix of Softcell version, I know the voice sounds a little different, but it's really alike. Anyway, this is a great version and I don't care who's the band, I'm just gonna enjoy it.

Sorry for my english, I'm from Colombia and I'm not sure if I write everything ok.

  • MM version is the best!

  • Gloria Jones - Tainted Love (the original)

  • this is a techno remix of the softcell cover of tainted love

  • @thecrazygentleman if this is a remix a softcell version, it's not a remix of the original version, and the vocals would have been pitch shifted. this is definitely not the same vocal found in softcell original version.

  • ♥♥♥

  • cool!

  • A good bootleg, and I congratulate the creator of invention. It's really one of the best remake I know ..

  • It's a good version of the song but it's most assuredly not by Depeche Mode. The original was done by Soft Cell and the singer for this one is definitely the singer for Soft Cell.

  • Try mixing bass-strings with this. Sounds pretty good without too...;)

  • Wolę wersję Mansona.

    Niestety przebił to ;P

  • bellissimo

  • Dr who is so random!

  • I remember when I heard the original on Doctor Who, I couldn't get it out of my head and every time it comes on the radio I think of Doctor Who, I sing along, and I dance like a loony :D

  • its cool, i luuuuuuvvvvvv the original better than all the redo's nothing beats the original, get it in your head

  • Ins't depeche, sure!!!!

  • this is a version covered by static x ...

  • i love the song *-*

  • i love the song *-*

  • THIS IS NOT DEPECHE MODE

  • this is so obviously depeche mode's work it's got its name all over it!

besides soft cell's version has no electronic tunes whatsoever

  • this version is made by a group called X-static!

  • @zeniaDK that's right!

  • this remix version is of the version that soft cell did, im not sure who did the original but this isnt depeche mode and i know that for a fact

  • This sounds very Depeche Mode to me. It's on a Depeche CD I have. I'm going to assume my CD's not wrong.

  • this is horible vers

  • I think the original base is from The Clash Tainted Love cover... Surely it's not Depeche Mode, but that's been already widely stated, I suppose :)

[I'm sorry but I can't link you the video, there's something wrong in my youtube comments... it can be easily found, though]

  • @0shinu0 Hmm...I never heard that The Clash covered it, but even if they did I'm a wild Clash listener and it doesn't sound like them...between the vocals, the style, and the synths, I can't say that it's them.

  • @0shinu0 "The Clash's" version isn't really played by them, it's a Soft Cell version, it's a common mistagging.

  • @0shinu0 x static remix - soft cell not depeche mode

  • fuk what came first the chicken or the egg... btw i like you post isildure nice work, its hard to get timing right on fast songs like this

  • whats depeche mean?

  • @sarahrocksyoursockss Depeche Mode is purely a translation from the French for 'fast fashion' ,so depeche(=fast) and cames from depecher (verb)

  • WOW.. grande~!

  • out of all versions i prefer marilyn manson's most

  • soft cell

  • "If you can prove me wrong, ok, but that implies PROOF."

    Official site - w w w depechemode com -> Discography

All albuns are there. You will never find "Tainted Love" there!

  • uff

  • This isn't the Soft Cell version, that's for sure, but Depeche Mode has never done this song. This sounds like a club remix of the soft cell version more than anything. I know that Marilyn Manson has done a version and that the original is Gloria Jones, and this is none of those.

  • the original is from gloria jones!!

  • "If you can prove me wrong, ok, but that implies PROOF."

    Official site - w w w depechemode com -> Discography

All albuns are there. You will never find "Tainted Love" there!

  • "For those who are saying that its by Soft Cell, I have heard the Soft Cell version, and I don't think it's the same band."

Is just a remix of the original version of Tainted Love Solf Cell!

  • "If you can prove me wrong, ok, but that implies PROOF."

    Official site - w w w depechemode com -> Discography

All albuns are there. You will never find "Tainted Love" there!

  • this song is not from Soft Cell !

This song from Gloria Jones !!!

  • Tainted Love is from Soft Cell, it's not from DM, the Cure, Marylin Manson, etc. this song is from Soft Cell

  • thats shit

  • I love this version. <3 Although I don't believe it sounds like Depeche Mode... If you listen to some of their other songs, Enjoy the Silence or their version of Personal Jesus... It doesn't have quite the same sound and I think the accent is a little different. =/ I could be wrong though.

It's obviously not the Soft Cell version... maybe it's a remix and not a cover? The voices themselves sound Soft Cell-ish...

Now I wanna know... I'm gonna try to look it up.

  • no es depeche mode, si no soft cell digamos una versión mas movida...

  • Definetly NOT depeche mode, they made the song, but this version is a little too techno...

  • srry guys im saying this but this isn´t Depeche Mode, im a great fan of DM and THATS not depeche mode. Who now say to me Hey ashole thats DM! should hear every song from DM but thats deinitively NOT Dm

  • @Undertaker1996748 yeaa...thats not dp...

  • 3:30, you missed a word in your lyrics.

Anyway Great song, definitively by DM, sound like the same voice in *Wrong , no?

Keep up The good Job ;-)

  • It's definitely DM.

  • Whole my life I thought this song is by Depeche Mode. So I did a little Internet research when I read your info for the video. I was quite disappointed too.

Indeed the original is by Gloria Jones (1964).

Soft Cell Remixed it in 1981.

So did and Depeche Mode. And the version on this video is theirs. I could not find when they released it, but I've had listened to it, when I heard

the so popular Marilyn Manson's version, who remixed it in 2001.

  • umm, doesn´t sound like Martin or Dave

    am I WRONG????

  • no my friend

  • idk

do you think that alan could be singing this song?

  • i just have one question to u: why did u add the tags "final fantasy" for this vid???

by the way good one 5*

  • fuckin' good tune

  • this video is amazing!!

  • human league was

    dont you want me

    im only human

    and

    fascination

    .....

  • actually JasB the original is from a lady named gloria jones in the 70's which she has her version on utube as well...but I think the 80's group you are referring to is not human league but a group called SOFT CELL...human league had about 3 other hits but this is not something they did.

  • Other websites claimed it was Static X who mixed this....

  • Don't know if this is Depeche Mode, sounds like them but that doesn't mean much these days. This is a rad version, though.

  • Sounds like the DJ Rankin remix.

  • The Human League is the original ;)

    This is o.k though

  • This is not Despeche Mode! .. lol ok no xD just kidding, nice version.. I didnt knew it (=

    xoxo

    Kelp

  • who's the original artist? the song is pretty good so i'm going to search it,just tell me the correct artist

  • The song was originally by Gloria Jones, or something like that. The most famous version is by Soft Cell. Some people say this version is also by Soft Cell, but I don't think so.

  • @isildur241 well that isn't Gahan singing I can tell you that, so this version is definitely not depeche mode that much I can say. and I'm 110% sure of this.

  • marc almon and soft cell no depeche mode

  • Error. No son Depeche Mode. That's not Depeche Mode.

  • me gusta mas la version de marilyn manson se oye mas rokera ,esta version es muy electronica pero igual se oye bien

  • That's not DEPECHE MODE!!!

  • This is a new techno version but it's NOT by Depeche Mode. Depeche Mode never covered this song. The singer doesn't even sound like Dave Gahan. I should know. I just heard Dave sing with DM two weeks ago and he's way better than this!

  • Amazing!!

  • Where can i download this?

  • youtube downloader hd

  • musique magnifique prfaite pour faire la fete!!

  • Good song!

  • no gustho

  • The original song is the best!

  • Fantasticaa!!!!

  • nice

  • Very nice song, i like the marlyn mansion song 2

But this song is good for making homework

  • My favorite song

  • This is the best version of Tainted Love!

  • I like marilyns better

  • okay than i'm sry..

I speak just a littele bit english..

i think i'vbe understood domething wrong

but the most important thing is:

this song is cool and if you were so experts..

how much coverversions exist of tainted love? i dont know it

  • you all are stupid idiots..

the original from this song is made by

    Gloria Jones

    she made it in 1964

but just a few people know that

soft cell made this song famous and all other versions are coverversions

  • No, you're a stupid idiot. Apparently you didn't actually read what was said by any of us, because WE ALL KNOW ALL THAT! We are not talking about the original version, or who made it famous, but THIS VERSION. Normally I try not to flame, but I've been hearing the same thing over and over for far too much. Adding the insults into it too, especially when what you're saying is wring, IS JUST DUMB! It makes you look STUPID! ...Whew I feel better now...

  • well i agree with you but this is not depeche mode i do not know why everybody thinks that, they do not do covers, and it is clearly not dave gahan's voice.

  • true

  • @miree00 at least some one knows who did the original ,,, to bad she crashed the car that killed her boyfriend t-rex (mark bolan)

  • Its not Soft Cell or DM its some other group doing a remake. You should take off Depeche Mode. They never remade this song!

  • ok theres a soft cell one, a marylin manson one, a depeche mode one, a the cure one and a pussycat dolls one ¬¬

  • ...

  • Well maybe Depeche mode cover this song , I dont know but I do know for a fact that soft cell did a cover of this song as I saw the singer in the video of it and the audio you have sampled is doubtlessly the soft cell version

  • Well I've found one video of this version that says Soft Cell, one that says some other band, and like, 6 that say Depeche Mode. Now, the one that said it was by Soft Cell was labeled as Tainted Love REMIX, so yes it would be different from the original Soft Cell version, if true, but in my opinion the voice sounds different enough that I don't think it is Soft Cell. Add to that the fact that Ive found more sources saying Depeche Mode, thats what I'll keep it as until given evidence proving diff

  • Depeche's never covered up a son neither in an album or a concert gig as Erasure or PSB, Martin tough has twice in his " Counterfeit " & "Counterfeit 2 " albums.

  • stupid...idiot...it's soft cell remix

  • which remix is it? i'm trying to find it on itunes

  • fuck you try to get view by place your video in our subscriptions.

    ass hole

  • What the hell? I'm not sure what you're trying to say. From what I can guess at from you're shattered english, though, I have no clue what the hell you're talking about. But, if you rephrase that so I can understand it, I may just be able to help you.

  • It doesn't sound like Marc Almond (Tainted Love) unless his voice has changed a lot. And it definately isn't my Dave from Depeche Mode LOL.

  • Well, if I've understood well, this is Depeche Mode's remix of this old song, Tainted Love. This song was songed for the first time by Gloria Jones!

  • c'mon you got it on youtube Gloria Jones 1964.

  • I do not understand what you are saying. Sorry.

  • He is sayibg that you stole this VD from another Guy named Gloria James 1964

  • If by "VD" you mean "video", then no I didn't. I made this video on my computer.

  • no the majority said soft cell

got the album version at home

still haven't found any one who knows depeche mode's version this sort of thing happens all the time especially with ac/dc and led zeppelin

where people mix up the songs with another song and no one knows who really made it but it is definitely soft cell

  • No, I know the Soft Cell version and its not them. This specific version of the song I've only found as being Depeche Mode, except for one instance where it was obviously not the band they said it was.

  • on the list of all the remakes of this song depeche isn't on the list.

theres living end, static X, marilyn manson, pussycat dolls and lost of others...

even the official depeche mode youtube channel doesnt have tainted love

  • Well maybe its not them, but until I know who it really is I'll keep it as them since thats what is says on the other instances of this version of the song.

  • this is soft cell song but in this version the artist is depeche mode

  • Actually it was originally by Gloria Jones. Soft Cell just made it famous.

  • This is not a Depeche Mode song.

  • Well, the place I got it said it was Depeche Mode, and it's all over Youtube in other places as Depeche Mode, so...I'll take the majority vote over yours. I may be wrong, but I'm sticking with what I think.

  • Yes it is, the original is from Depeche. This is a Remix.
