If you've ever looked close enough, gta iv and gta iii didn't REALLY Change the map they more of just flipped it. Alderney is portland , as they are both the "Industrial" Algonquin looks shockingly similar To Staunton, Bohan Could be the ghost town land mass, and the river in Shoreside Vale could have dried up and became Dukes and Broker. They should have just said something like " The Water Shiftings Of 2003, wEhen Water dried Up Most of carcer City, All of Bullworth, And Part o Portland....

@ElBarto, no it would be, cities with populations like the ones in San Andreas would've bordered each other if it was that big. And it would be impossible to be so geographically diverse. I mean a desert a mountain and a redwood forest in 12 sq miles?

@KNGarver But it's a video game, cities are scaled down in size cause it'd be boring to drive for hours and hours, and to save disk space. Also 600sq miles it would take HOURS to drive from Los Santos to Las Venturas. Just take a look at a map of San Andreas, take a look at the airports, they're pretty big right? Now drive on the runway in game, it takes like 7 seconds, if the game was 600sq miles that runway would be around 30-60 miles in length, it's would take like 30 minutes to drive on it.

There's no way LC can be almost as big as SA, a city that big that can cover a state almost 600 sq miles? A city that big wold have 60,000,000,000 people in it!

What are you talking about? San Andreas was only 12 sq miles at most. There's no freaking way in hell San Andreas is 600sq miles, it's not. Also 60 billion people in 600 sq. miles would be 100 million people per sq mile. Did you pass geography or math?

Ok ok, Vice City is in Miami, GTA IV Is in NY and San Andreas is in Los Angeles, San Francisco, And Las Vegas, 3 different in one, I don't know about GTA Liberty City but still cool

Yea..... Liberty city is based off nyc.... Vice city is based off Miami...... And San Andreas is based of Los Angeles

I agree. The countryside and desert were a waste of space. When I first saw it on the trailer, I was amazed and excited. I hated those two areas when I played the game. There were hardly any cars and it took forever to get out of there. When I got to San Fierro, I never went to the countryside again. When I got to Las Venturas, I never visited the desert ever again.

Its is true there was no point in making the countryside and the dessert. In the dessert you can only find an army base, nothing important. Personaly i rather wait for the gta iv game to come out and see what the map is like how can you possibly be sure that thats th map.
